Greek Revival Farmhouse

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Pierce Farmhouse was built in 1870 as a wedding gift for a son. We have owned it for 20 years and have made another set of renovations to bring it back to its original charm and character while making it more comfortable with modern amenities. The farmhouse sits on 60 wooded acres in High Shoals and guests have access to our pond for fishing and river for canoeing. We are 20 minutes from Athens, and 15 minutes from Monroe and Madison.

Christina’s place was very comfortable and clean. Had all the essentials ready and accessible, and Christina was very prompt if I had any questions. The outside amenities- backyard fire pit, an elevated porch, and boat deck made this place a great find. Tranquil with a great view of the lake.

We loved the kayaks Danielle left for us along with all of the other accommodations provided with the scamper. The set up was perfect. Danielle was very responsive with our needs. The lakehouse was absolutely breathtaking and met our expectations of what it means to take a relaxing break. The location was private, the landscaping was beautiful and the dock was a showstopper.
