Vacation rentals in Isla La Porcada

Usually a review tells you, how nice everything was, but this time it is different. Due to the political situation in Panama, we weren‘t able to travel to our booked accommodation. Diana and all people involved tried to find a solution, to get us there. After several days, we had to accept, it‘s not possible. During all those days, the host where nice, helpful and pro active. But even more important, when we figured out, we don‘t get there, we got our money back, without any discussion. By far, this is not standard. So, Diana and all others around are not only nice, they are also reliable. I give 11 points, out of 10 and 100% recommendation and a big thank you.

We had a wonderful stay at Sand Dollar Villa in Boca Chica, Panama. The location was peaceful, quiet, and truly tranquil. It was exactly what we were looking for. Mornings and evenings on the patio offered stunning views and a serene atmosphere. We were even lucky enough to have howler monkeys visit frequently, gracing the nearby trees with their presence. Ralph and Eda were amazing hosts. They were always respectful of our privacy, yet quick to respond with helpful recommendations and suggestions whenever we had a question. Their thoughtful balance of attentiveness and space made our stay even more enjoyable. Everything about our visit was perfect, and we sincerely hope to return in the future. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful place with us!

The pictures on this listing do not do the unit justice, it is spectacular and the ocean views are amazing. The house is fully kitted with everything you could need. We spent our days in the sea and reading. What a wonderful relaxing place. Perfect for a family holiday. We had a great time.

Wanted a place near a not crowded beach to spend a week of quality time with the family. Richard’s place was right on target. It’s a bit off the beaten path, but Richard’s lengthy description was spot on in accuracy. He accurately described the lack of nearby places to get groceries and the minimal number of restaurants in the vicinity. Thanks to his info, we easily found a major grocery in route and stocked up on what we would need for the week. Upon arrival, Raphael met us and showed us how to find everything in the well equipped unit and also gave us info on what restaurants were in reasonable driving distance. The only issue of note was the difficulty in regulating the shower temperature, which we learned was a neighborhood issue. In summary, we loved the place - relaxing in the pool, walking the beach, and the warm ocean. Lobster Cove is pretty shallow,so not for surfing or snorkeling, but just fine for us.

Joanna was an excellent host, and Richard, who meets you at the house, was wonderful, helpful and kind. We had a few little issues that were proactively dealt with, and whenever we needed advice, Joanna and Richard were always quick to respond. The house is not luxurious and doesn't pretend to be, but it's great value for money given the exceptional location. It's just you, the spectacular views, and your own private beach, and the beach is as close to paradise as I've ever been! Oh, and the Howler Monkeys and lots of different kinds of birds make it a nature lover's perfect retreat. An SUV to reach the house is definitely necessary, but the road/track is fine if treated with patience. The kayaks are great fun. We loved beachcombing at low tide, and watching the hermit crabs go about their daily life. Watching the sun go down was spectacular from the veranda, and enjoying the night sky was a treat too. All in all we loved our stay here, and we definitely hope to return in future.

Umbertos place is wonderful and I am really glad that we found it! We spontaneously added an extra night because we liked it so much! The Casita has the perfect size and is beautifully decorated. Very comfortable and we totally felt at home. The terrace is fantastic and we loved the view and we listened to birds all day long. We worked from the Casita, Internet connection is strong! Umberto is super helpful and a wonderful person. Highly recommend!! I am sure we will be back!!

Everything was very nice, excellent stay, my wife and I had a wonderful time, we disconnected completely, which was the reason why we wanted to have a super relaxing and beautiful environment... Very attentive and helpful, delighted with the place, full of many birds and beautiful nature

My wife and I rented this house for two birthdays and an anniversary celebration the weekend of March 29. It is a beautiful, pet-friendly home right on Las Lajas beach and has a beautifully maintained yard with a large swimming pool. The five bed rooms and bath rooms were all perfect for our group of 10 and the open kitchen/dining/living room area was spacious enough for all to share meals and hang out without feeling crowded. The bohio was a plus and provided shade and a cool breeze off the Pacific. Rafael was very responsive when the power went out and his caretaker (Angelica ?sp?) promptly delivered enough diesel to power the huge generator all night long so we could still use the lights and air conditioners in the tropical heat. There were plenty of dishes, pots, pans, and utensils for our use as well as two coffee pots, a dishwasher (with soap---a nice change for the number of dishes we had) and a nice big propane stove. Our family absolutely loved our stay at Casa Linda. This place was exactly what we were looking for- beautiful setting along a sparsely populated beach, modern accommodations, and proximity to Boca Chica for access to world class fishing. Our host Maria was very kind and responsive. We were able to check-in a bit early which was wonderful and when we ran out of gas for stove/grill, Maria was quick to get us set back up again. We had a toddler with us so the crib, shallow end of the pool, and gentle/warm ocean were fantastic features. I would 100% recommend and we will be back if we have the opportunity!
