Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Houten

It was a weekend, we will Never forget :-)

We had a pleasure staying at this cozy, stylish family home. The house is beautifully decorated with vintage treasures and breathes peace with all the plants inside and outside. It was comfortable, and had everything needed for a perfect stay. The highlight for us was the garden and very comfy beds. And of course a special part of looking after Blanci the cat and the guinea pigs, this felt even more like at home. It was like a little oasis in a quiet and friendly neighborhood, yet we were still just a short walk to the train station or a quick drive to Utrecht. Shops and restaurants are nearly 5-7min walking distance. Houten is a lovely small town, we wished we had more time to explore it’s gems. Jeannette was always helpful and attentive. We are very grateful for this kind experience. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us - we’d happily come back again!

Just a beautiful holiday home. The pictures don’t quite do the kitchen/living room justice. It’s very modern with lovely wooden floors and high vaulted ceilings with the original beams still on show. If you want a nice,warm, comfortable, and spacious place to stay then this house is perfect. Hosts were really helpful and made us feel very welcome We hope to come back again soon.

The stay at the wonderful house of Isabel's grandmother was very nice and relaxing! The place is an excellent starting point for walks, excursions in the area and a city tour in Utrecht. The house itself is perfectly equipped, very clean and we felt comfortable from the beginning. We highly recommend staying with Isabel. Thank you for a very successful long weekend!

Absolutely loved our stay in the Canal house! Could not have been more ideal for our family. Location was perfect, so relaxing too sit outside the door and watch the boats, kayaks and ducks float by.

We loved our long weekend in Nieuwland. This is a tiny village so very quiet and peaceful, but just a few minutes drive from the motorway. The house was exactly as described and very comfortable for our group of 3 people. Everything worked great- lovely kitchen, powerful shower and a tv with a guest Netflix account. We were disappointed we didn't get a chance to sit outside in the courtyard due to the rain. We would happily return and would recommend to anyone who wants peace and quiet away from town. It's one of the best Airbnb's I have stayed in. Mirjam was very sweet and you could tell that it's her passion to make her guests feel welcomed. She went above and beyond our expectations and we would definitely stay here again. Also I cannot not mention the excellent breakfast. It was very filling and thought out. I can't see how you can rate this place anything other that 10/10.

Diederik‘s flat was fantastic for our trip to Utretch. A very quiet neighborhood with lovely old homes and surroundings. Exactly what we needed for our first trip with our little one. The apt is spacious and has all you need. Only downside is the stairs between floors are a bit more tight/narrow/steep than they appear in the photos. So be careful if you have a little one. Otherwise we loved our stay at his place. Its a great getaway.

Truly a 5 star experience. Rob met us at the front door (a rare experience these days on Airbnb) and showed us the space. He was knowledgeable of the area and always available to answer questions. Genuinely a lovely person. 10/10

We loved our time in this artsy, welcoming and charming little spot! Lex and Sylvie were very responsive and helpful, checking in and also leaving some great nibbles in the kitchen (fruit, juice, yogurt, cheese, jam, butter and much more!) They also gave us a heads up about the Utrecht Pride event, which is not to be missed if you can be there for it. The boat parade goes right down the lovely canal right outside the door. We loved walking around the neighborhood, with great restaurants and bakeries. The apartment was the perfect space for our two adults and one teen and we took advantage of sitting out front along the canal every single day. It’s an older building and you can hear the floorboards upstairs but it was never an issue for sleeping because Lex and Sylvie didn’t seem to be night owls. I would love to come back someday!

The apartment was lovely and cozy, with plenty of useful amenities that made our stay comfortable. The host was very kind and responsive, which we really appreciated. Overall, the place was clean and well-maintained, though the bedsheets could use a refresh. The beds are very soft (something to keep in mind depending on your preference). Despite these minor points, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again!

Nanda’s place is very spacious and comfortable, with lovely large windows and all the facilities you would need. The apartment is on the first floor (no lift!) with the hosts’ living area on the ground floor and bedrooms on the second floor. Easy 5 minute walk to buses, just 3 stops to Central Utrecht. Nanda was very welcoming and easy to communicate with. Recommended!

A very comfortable stay in a mix of historic and modern surroundings. A lot of steps but not unexpected. Close to amenities. Host responded quickly to inquiries. Overall, a lovely stay!

The apartment is in a great, vibrant neighborhood only minutes from the downtown. It is spacious with plenty of light. Rein is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

This was a fantastic property. Perfectly located and walking distance from main sites. Lots of places to eat and drink within a few minutes. It was quit noisey Friday night but the appartment was so spacious and comfortable. The amenities were brilliant. This proper was exceptional and I would highly recommend it.

The accommodation is not very soundproof, you have to be very careful with the sound, but overall it was worth it for our activity

Pleasant stay in a compact but neat apartment that is equipped with all basic comforts. Also very nice that dogs are welcome in this accommodation, while you do not notice anything from previous furry guests so the cleaning is perfect! In addition, we noticed a very nice, welcoming and fast communication with Mr. Patel via the app about, among other things, the check-in and check-out instructions.
