Gorgeous ski in/out apartment in Skarsnuten

We loved our stay at Lars’ beautiful home in Hemsedal. It was our first time visiting Norway to Ski. The drive from Oslo is beautiful and easy. The check in instructions were simple and easy to find. The apartment itself is stunning and well equipped. The place sleeps 10 but we were a group of 5 and it was perfect. The sun had been out so ski in/out wasn’t possible but defo would be earlier in the season. Walking to the lift took 5 mins. For any British guests reading and wondering whether vastly more expensive compared to France/Austria. I would say the value for money for accommodation far surpasses anywhere we have stayed in other ski resorts. It’s more expensive to eat and drink but not much more. Everyone was exceptionally friendly, the lift staff in particular. The Skarsnuten spa is a must! The toll road is expensive just to pop to the shops ( £32 over 5 days) Only negative is bring our own sheets and towels. Maybe a hire option would be nice to offer. Overall 5 ⭐️

Stor hytte på Haugastøl!

Wunderschöne und großzügige Hütte mitten in der Natur. Sehr stilvoll und gemütlich ausgestattet; u.a. fehlte es in der Küche an nicht - wir konnten sogar Waffeln backen. Bei unserer Ankunft stand ein bunter WildblumenStrauß auf dem Tisch, Feuerholz war bereitgelegt und Ersatzbenzin fürs Boot bereitgestellt. Einzig die Dusche ist etwas eng, aber kaum der Rede wert.

Unglaubliche Lage, unglaubliche Natur, tolle Tourenmöglichkeiten wohl zu jeder Jahreszeit. Ich war 4 Wochen im Februar dort. Man ist mit Ski in ca, 1,5 - 2 Stunden oben im Fjell. Die Loipe ist auch nur ca 30 Minuten entfernt. Leider hatte es die letzten 2 Woche wenig Schnee. Kommt jetzt wohl immer öfter vor. Aber egal, bei der gemütlichen Hütte, und dann kann man im nahegelegenen Bach Eisbaden. Die Hütte ist eine Festung. Die letzte Woche war Sturm bis ca 140 km in Geilo. Wer groß ist sollte ne Bettdecke um den Balken in der Hüttenmitte wickeln. Ansonsten, super isoliert. Wir haben viel weniger Holz benötigt als gedacht. So ca 1-2 Körbe pro Tag. Anfangs hatte es - 20 Grad.

Jätte fin stuga! Rymlig och passade perfekt för två familjer med äldre barn. Köket var väl utrustat och rymligt. Mycket bra läge med ski in/out och gångavstånd till Skisenter där flera restauranger finns. Kan verkligen rekommendera en vistelse här 😊

Wat een fijne plek! Het was zo rustig en knus dat we bijna niet weg wilden. Heel afgelegen en prive dus daar moet je van houden. Superleuke activiteiten in de buurt van Geilo. Als je in de winter gaat kan het wel erg guur zijn. We moesten onze bagage met de slee vervoeren. Maar het is het zeker waard. Heerlijk bij de haard met buiten sneeuw. We raden het absoluut aan.

What an excellent stay in Børre’s magnificent Nordic cabin. It was a perfect setting for our family ski break with 3 generations enjoying the setting. The cabin is beautifully decorated with a country feel and all high-spec modern conveniences. It’s warm with underfloor heat pump heating, Tesla electric car charger and plenty of space. The ski centres are a short drive away, there is a comprehensive recycling centre nearby and plenty of supermarkets, all within about 5 minute drive. Børre’s communications were helpful throughout The snow and weather were exceptional and we had a memorable time. . Tusen hjertlig takk 👍

Dejligt sted, gode senge og veludstyret køkken. Der er en smuk udsigt over Geilo. Vintersolen hænger dog så lavt, at hytten er en del i skyggen, det gjorde dog ikke os så meget idet vi var på ski hele dagen og kunne tænde den hyggelige biopejs når vi kom hjem.

A cozy hut with a wonderfull view over the lake. We stayed in wintertime (early february) and had no issues getting to the cabin by crossing the frozen lake by ski, after arriving by train in hagastol (3km). So it is also possible to get to the cabin by public transport and ski as long as the lake is frozen and safe to cross. We had many options for crosscountry skiing on the lake and up the mountains. If you need marked trails for orientation, it would be better to come when winterseason has started (end of february). We visited Monsbunuten and had an incredible view over the hardangervidda nationalpark. The cabin is very spacious. It can be heated by electricity and woodstove. We felt home ammediatly. We found a wonderfull place to rest and reset. We can recommend this place for everyone who seeks out a calm and quiet place in nature with the opportunity to explore the lake and fjäll region around it.

Had an amazing stay at this little cottage. Very hygge. The location is fabulous, easy walk to Skistar area. Ski bus picks up super close to the cottage. Space to hang ski gear which includes boot warmers. Nice touch. Lisa was great at communicating and checking in, even after we had been there a few days. A perfect place to stay for 2 people. Would definitely recommend.

The entire family home in Geilo with a view.

Our stay here was incredible. We booked for 4 people but this place could easily accommodate 8. The place was clean and tidy and offered everything we needed and more, with beautiful surroundings and a private and authentic feel. Things like extra towels, a pantry with some basic items like rice and pasta, food in the freezer and an easy to use washing machine and dryer really made us feel well looked after. We stayed when temperatures were between -10 and -18 Celsius but the house always felt cosy. The nearest Ski bus stop is a 7-10 minute walk away and the nearest supermarket and ‘town’ area are a 25 minute walk away. If you enjoy walking then the location is fine but we opted to hire a car from the airport to use for our transfers which I would highly recommend. This made collecting ski hire, shopping and travelling to the different slopes much easier as there is lots of parking areas. 10/10 stay. I have already recommended to friends and family.

Very cosy and comfortable house with lots of interesting ornaments, beautifully decorated. Kitchen is well equipped. There are 3 bedrooms with 1x double, 1x single and 1x small double bed. The house was warm when we arrived and perfectly comfortable for the entire stay. Hemsedal ski center is a short drive away, and there are shops and a Peppes restaurant quite close. I would gladly recommend Connie’s house.

Another wonderful stay. This was our 2nd visit to this apartment and it didn’t disappoint. Beautiful apartment in the centre of Geilo. Above some shops, although there is absolutely no disturbance whatsoever. It’s so quiet and peaceful, with stunning views from every window. Super warm and cosy. Free parking in a private carpark under the complex, easy to find and really safe. We wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.

Vi var 6 personer her på skiferie. Leiligheten ligger i gåavstand til skianlegget, og er svært velholdt. Thomas viste oss rundt da vi ankom. Veldig gode senger, og kjøkkenet har det man trenger! Vi trivdes veldig godt og kan helt klart anbefale å bo hos Thomas. Leiligheten har alt det du trenger av boder, bad og parkeingsplass selv om man er 6 voksene personer med ski utstyr og bagasje. Det skal også nevnes at det er snart er muligheter for ski-in/out fra leiligheten når anlegget er ferdig bygget.

Wir haben uns in diesem Apartment sehr wohlgefühlt. Es ist super ausgestattet und der Blick über die Skipisten ins Tal ist einmalig. Die Lage direkt an der Skipiste ist kaum zu übertreffen und die Garage ist perfekt für die Aufbewahrung der Skier.
