Family-friendly vacation rentals in Hjelmeland Municipality

This was a great space, aesthetically pleasing, comfortable and great location. Only thing to know is if you choose to stay in the loft you need to come down stairs and back in through the apartment door to get to the bathroom. Highly recommended place!

I was visiting for the second time and brought friends with me this time. It was a fantastic stay again. I knew what to expect bit my friends were also super happy. The house is a real jewel. The location is an absolute dream! The view from the terrace and the jacuzzi is sinply breathtaking. Exploring the water by boat or with the kayas was a very nice experience and it was crownes by some freshly caught fish as well. We will definitelly come back again :-)

We just landed back in UK after a fantastic stay in beautiful post card picture log cabin,loads of space and very warm and homely. steep drive to cabin in icing weather but roads are cleared.foind it ok We drove to hovden and did skiing for 3 days around 1 Hr drive but broke on your doorstep but was only open on sat, Sunday, Thursday and we arrived Friday.

Very nice, big place with amazing view ! Has everything whats needed. Waterfront terrace will leave you with good memories after this stay

Vi havde den dejligste uge med børn, børnebørn og svigermor i dette helt unikke og for en arkitekt spændende hus - en original norsk bjælkehytte med super komfortable møbler, senge og veludstyret med alt køkkenudstyr, brænde, spil, TV og internet. Hytten lå tilbagetrukket lidt for sig selv med udsigt mod det smukke Brokke fjeld og over hytte området, som vi nød fra verandaen omkring bålfadet, Vi kunne gå/stå på ski til skisport stedet, som også opfylde alle vores behov. Vi giver hytten, Bente og Tor-Olav vores bedste anbefalinger og vil gerne komme igen - ikke mindst for også at opleve stedet om sommeren. Eneste minus var, at vi 500 m før hytten måtte have snekæder på. Vi var ikke forberedt på, at opkørslen ville være så stejl. Vi fandt senere ud af, at det er nemmere at køre lidt længere på den store vej, og først køre ind i hytteområdet fra indkørslen lige overfor Brokke-Alpincenter. I hytten er der grus til at sprede ud, men det fandt vi først senere ud af. Tusinde tak for lån :-)

One of the best AirBnB stays I’ve had. Inger goes above and beyond for her guests to ensure they have a pleasant stay. Her garden is stunning and she rightfully takes a lot of pride in the work she has put into it. There were a few times I was unable to reach a certain destination by bus, and Inger kindly offered to drive me to the location. I would highly recommend staying here, it’s the perfect mix of privacy, relaxation and engaging in social opportunities if desired. Norway is amazing, and I would certainly choose to stay at this AirBnB if I were to visit Norway again.

Dejlig enkel hytte med udsigt og adgang til fjord. Alt nødvendigt i inventar, også kaffemaskine, elkedel, mikroovn og stort køleskab med frys. Udekøkken, og -bruser med varmt vand. En oplevelse. Toilet i nærheden. Adgang til kajakker og sauna var et plus, som vi dog ikke nåede at benytte. Hytten er særdeles velegnet som udgangspunkt til vandreture og oplevelser på fjorden. Kan varmt anbefale vandretur til Hatten. Sollifjell - smuk rute til parkering og varieret vandring. Turen til Preikestolen var meget travl, mennesker overalt. Tur til Månafossen var et besøg værd. Det har været let at kommunikere med Bjart.

Helge är en mycket trevlig värd som välkomnade oss när vi kom. Stugan var otrolig mysig! Fullt utrustat kök och sköna sängar. Endel biltrafik förbi stugan, just för att Preikestolen ligger så nära. Trafiken störde inte oss - och läget kunde inte ha varit bättre. Vi har haft ett fantastiskt uppehåll och kan varmt rekommendera denna stuga!

A wonderful place for walking, relaxing and time at home. Whether you are looking for a place where your dog feels welcomed or a lovely place to stay overnight, this flat and environment makes it easy to enjoy Jørpeland. The flat provides an inviting environment for both guests and their pets. The space is thoughtfully designed, combining coziness with all the necessary amenities for both short and extended stays. On sunny days, the balcony offers a delightful spot to unwind and enjoy the surrounding scenery. All in all, we were super happy with our accommodation.

Hessel var en hjelpsom og hyggelig vert. Huset stemte med beskrivelsen. Fin plass med flott utsikt. Her kan du virkelig finne roen.

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in dieser Wohnung. Es ist alles da, was man zum Leben braucht und es ist warm und gemütlich. Der Blick aus der Wohnung über den Fjord ist phantastisch! Man gelangt mit dem Auto schnell zu schönen Wandergebieten und nach Stavanger, sowie zu guten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Sehr nah an der Unterkunft befindet sich die Bushaltestellen der Linie 100, mit der man sehr komfortabel nach Stavanger umd zurück kommt. Ein ganz besonderes Highlight waren die extrem leckeren Waffeln, die Trond extra für uns gebacken hat und die bei der Ankunft für uns bereit standen. Nach der langen Fahrt tat es besonders gut, so versorgt zu werden! Vielen Dank dafür!

What a view. I mean, WHAT A VIEW! The home is very comfortable and well stocked with necessary kitchen items and linens. The beds were comfortable and the bedroom hallway has a door at the end which creates excellent sound proofing between the sleeping area and the kitchen/living room. The back garden is absolutely exquisite (the owners run a gardening shop I believe - and it shows what talents they are!). The owners were also very nice when we accidentally checked out late - we had the checkout time wrong. But they were super cool and understanding. Oh, and did I mention the view??? Amazing! :-) The little town down the road (about ten minutes downhill and fifteen minutes uphill) is charming. There’s a nice cafe and two groceries. The beach (also about 10 min away) is dotted with Adirondack chairs, picnic tables, and grills for public shared use. We really had a lovely time! I would definitely return again, and hope to do so soon. One note - there is a guest house on the same property that is also rented out. There’s a somewhat divided area of the garden for the guest house, so we barely noticed the other guests and it was no problem at all. But just wanted to note because we didn’t realize in advance.

Kenneth was an outstanding host, and very responsive to the few questions we had. He asked when we planned to arrive so that he would have everything “guest-ready.” The place was beautiful and very serene. We were in town to hike, so we were gone most of the four days, but our arrival home was always met with beautiful views and a comfortable place to relax. The bathrooms and bedrooms were spotless and the kitchen was fully equipped, which is important for us as we prefer to cook. The laundry facilities were super and there were plenty of linens and towels. We were two couples traveling and each of us felt that the place will be hard to top in this month of travel in Norway. We highly recommend Kenneth’s place!

Absolutely an amazing house at a perfect spot. Clean, comfort, housy, to much positive things to describe.. An absolute must if you are visiting Stavanger with a large group or family.

Hallo Gunnar, Vielen Dank das wir in deiner Hütte unseren Familienurlaub verbringen durften. Hovden ist ein sehr schöner ruhiger Ort mit tollen Wandermöglichkeiten auch mit Kleinkind. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und konnten mal richtig entspannen. Liebe Grüße Jana, Tobi, Kinder und Enkelkind

Jim is extremely responsive and friendly, proactive as well, starting from the day we booked the listing! The stay was clean and comfortable, the Jacuzzi had a superb view! We had such a wonderful tour and even drank from a waterfall. Jim also makes really delicious fish stew and pancakes, we had an amazing time and would highly recommend the Wildfire Cooking tour :)
