Cabin vacation rentals in Hjelmeland Municipality

We spent a weekend at Kjetil’s place and it was an amazing experience! The cabin is spacious (the rooms are actually bigger than how they look in the pictures), beautiful, complete with everything we needed, and not to mention, the JACUZZI which we enjoyed so much! We booked this place without any comment or reviews from others as this was a new listing back then, and we didn’t regret taking the risk. It was all worth it. Kjetil was very kind to help us with everything we needed, he was easy to communicate with, and the cabin is perfect for a big group like us — three families, with children and a 3-month baby. We’re hoping to come back here for next year’s winter season!

The host was very friendly and always responded. The cottage was cozy and the jacuzzi already preheated. He was concerned for our well-being. 😊

A special highlight was definitely the hot tub – just awesome! After a day in the impressive nature of Norway, relaxing there was priceless. The surroundings were also an adventure in themselves, we enjoyed every second.

The host is extremly nice. The jaccuzzi is clean and hot. It is very relaxing to stay. Around 40 mins drive to Sirdal for skiing. The shop joker is also close. we had a great time. Definitely will come back 👍

Our stay with Asbjørn in Bordelid was nothing short of amazing. The home was nice, modern, and nicely decorated with everything you could want – from well-equipped kitchen to hot cabinet to snowy jackets. The view was impressive with the panorama of the snow-capped mountains and the slopes. We enjoyed the sauna, jacuzzi and sunny moments on the terrace. The wood-burning stove created a cozy atmosphere, and the bed comfort was top notch. The location was perfect with easy access to the ski hill. Asbjørn provided exceptional service where he drove up on Saturday morning and quickly fixed an issue with the jacuzzi, providing safe and pleasant communication. A place we will no doubt come back to.

Beautiful cozy place with everything we needed. One note is that we did not take the boat to get to the cabin. In hindsight, we think that would have been very nice! :)

We stayed with Bjarne and his wife for a week, the place is clean with beautiful views of the fjord and sunset. The two are super lovely people who told and showed us a lot. We got fresh eggs from their chickens and freshly caught crayfish. And were even allowed to use the paddle boat lying on the jetty for free. I would come back anytime and highly recommend it to anyone. Especially if you're looking for peace and quiet.

We were a wonderful , good week with eight (four adults, four children between 9 & 13 years old) in the month of August in the fisherman's house. Beautiful quiet location, great views, all very authentic. The rooms are functional, but also furnished with love for detail. There are a few games, a foosball table and fishing was possible right outside the door. If you want to do something outside of Ombo, keep a close eye on the ferry times. Smaller, relaxed hikes can also be made directly on the island of Ombo. We even spotted a moose. Conclusion: An old, lovingly renovated house with a lot of soul. We liked it very much.

We had a wonderful week at Ragnhild's place. There was really nothing missing and the communication with Ragnhild and Rolf was great. The direct access to the fjord is simply fantastic and the surroundings invite you to great hikes. Shopping in Jelsa or Erfjord are a little away but easily accessible. Thank you for everything.

We walked into this place very late at night and it was cozy, warm and beautiful. The host had kindly left supplies in the fridge for us, so we weren't trying to find a grocery store at an inconvenient time. Ingvild is one of those rare hosts who seems to have anticipated all the guests needs. There were instructions on how to use everything, there were tips for things to do in the area, and there were ample supplies of basics in the kitchen and laundry room that made things so easy for us. This was a perfect location to feel secluded, but close enough to see the popular tourist sites in the area with a short drive. We looked forward to coming back each afternoon to enjoy the view from this home. The floor to ceiling windows were amazing.

Geti was an amazing host. Always on hand with good advice. She always responded very quickly and kindly. The location of the cabin was sensational with a stunning view. The cabin itself was perfect for our needs (2 adults, 2 children, 1 dog) in size and amenities. We would rent the cabin again. 😎

the cottage va Mikal was very nice and authentic. We enjoyed the soothing surroundings and the opportunity to be outside, both on the porch and by the river. The supermarket is 2 mins. In the back of the valley is a beautiful hiking route. Highly recommended.

The holiday was fantastic. We were able to enjoy 2.5 weeks with our family of four and really unwind. The house with the property is fantastic. We went fishing and hiking a lot.

We had a great stay at Guro's place. We were able to relax on the terrace with the fantastic view and in the sauna at the bottom of the water. The location of the accommodation is a bit remote, but very quiet. The amenities were very good - everything you need. Guro was always responsive, quick to respond to inquiries, and gave many helpful tips for the area. We would come back out.

Very nice, old cottage. Tastefully decorated with classic decoration. Plenty of space in and around the house. Also a nice terrace and garden to sit in the sun. Cottage is located next to a small gas station and supermarket. Because of this during the day with heavy traffic, campers, etc. This is not inconvenient and also gives some coziness. In the evening it is very quiet. We had a great time.

10/10 experience. Great location and beautiful home with a lovely view of sunsets over the water.
