Vacation rentals with lake access in Highlands

Wonderful stay and beautiful home. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area

We were in town for a family wedding and everyone enjoyed it. So much so that many said this would be great for holiday gatherings. Thank you so much for making it a great stay for my family!

The view of the lake from the large back porch was awesome. A peaceful place to relax and explore the lake on the canoes provided. There was a green egg on site for cooking dinner. I’d highly recommend this location!

Amanda and her husband maintained a really good property here it was clean well laid out well lit everything was functioning with a few problems we had as far as drainage of the drain. She was already working on. She was flexible as far as my family coming to town to visit with a sick relative for the holidaysoverall, just a great visit highly recommend Amanda and her family.

What a serene and peaceful way to bring in the new year and celebrate my partner's birthday all coupled with unbeatable lakes views. We had an amazing time, went on several hikes, had great coffee, and just relaxed. The host was responsive and accommodating as we requested a later check out for a slower morning and it was immediately granted. If you want to get away for some peace and quite or sprinkle your stay with activity, your choice but this place is where you should stay.

I enjoyed this place 100%. Clean space, some privacy, extremely peaceful. Matt was super proactive in letting us know of the current events that could affect our stay, such as open fire bans. so therefore we could not use the fire pit. However, We enjoyed the scenery, the hot tub, the grill and other outside adventures. I would highly recommend staying here & I would definitely book with Matt again during a different season!

Beautiful, secluded location. Perfect ti get away from it all. Make sure you bring anything you need with you, the closest town is 25 min away. Great hiking nearby.

This vacation involved checking out the area for an upcoming wedding. For the house, we wanted lots of space in the house and easy parking, bathrooms for each family group, family space to hang out, easy walking, and of course access to the lake. All of these happened plus great porch space with the firepit and also the outdoor firepit. The stairs to the lake provided a work out and planning for the day. That is the only consideration for others to be aware of, is if they have a family member that has issues with stairs. The area is beautiful and exactly what we hoped for and this home with the easy contact for any issues or questions made it a great week!

We absolutely enjoyed your place! Sharon and Anna were excellent host and very supportive! The apartment lacked nothing! It was so peaceful and relaxing! We loved the trail around the whole lake and walked it each day! The location is very convenient to anything you would like to do in the mountains! This was such a lovely Airbnb! Squeaky clean, walkable to beautiful Lake Junaluska and just a few minutes to hiking and downtown Waynesville. You can really tell Steve and Susie want their guests to have a five star stay with so many thoughtful touches such as bottled water, coffee, tea, half and half, biscotti’s card games and an abundance of books and guides about the area. There was a private table and chairs outside for a glass of wine or a meal which we loved and the bed was so comfortable. Great location - a very short walk to the lakeside trail. We had everything we needed for our weekend stay. Alice and Philip were very responsive.

Lesley's place was clean and comfortable. Lesley is a good communicator and our needs were met with clear instructions. Beautiful area!

Comfortable beds, great spacious shower, and gorgeous balcony with a view over the creek. Relaxing and comfortable place to stay.

The space was bigger than we expected and works out really well for our needs. The host was very responsive and helpful. There is a 3 ring binder with all the info about the area.

Larry is a fantastic host who goes above and beyond. We really appreciated and used his local recommendations for restaurants and activities. The apartment was clean and practical. Large washing machine and new appliances. Beautiful views of the lake. Definitely recommend and would stay there again!

The cottage is easy to find and has great access to the lake. We walked on the walking path every afternoon during our stay. The cottage has great amenities and is a great value. The location is within 5-10 minutes of almost all restaurants/shopping you could need during your stay. Highly recommend.

I had a lovely stay. The home was very basic, but it was just what I was looking for. The lake is beautiful and very secluded. There was no soap or shampoo provided. There was also no sponge or dish brush, so cleaning dishes was tricky. And finally, there was no coffee. These are small things, but they are listed on the listing, so I did not bring any of those items.

Really enjoyed our night here. Appreciated the clear instructions and everything is labeled well. The house and area is beautiful, sad it was too rainy to take advantage of the canoes. Would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for letting us stay. it was wonderful being able to have our two dogs with us. Bed was comfortable and and there was ample room for our two 18 year olds. The hot tub was clean and warm! Used it every day. Only thing I would not, and this doesn't take away from the review or rating, is the pond wasn't quite the view we thought it would be and there were more lizards than fish. nothing the host can control. Just something to note depending on the expectations of the guest and what they are looking for. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

Cameron's place was perfect for our one-night visit to Cashiers, NC. Communication was excellent and the check in/check out process was very simple. The room was as described.

We had a fantastic stay! The place was private, peaceful and beautiful. We went for an Easter getaway and to visit our daughter at Clemson. Maggie was meticulous with every detail from a goody basket, towels, instructions and even invited us to her house for Easter dinner! The kitchen had everything item you can imagine and we loved being able to walk around their property. The pigs were a special treat! We will definitely be back whenever we need a relaxing weekend on the lake! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!
