Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Highlands

Looking around Maggie Valley from this house, I don't think there was a better view to be had. This house is well-stocked and comfortable in every way we would have hoped for and Billy and the co-hosts gave us all the info we needed, but the star of the show is the view over the valley to the Blue Ridge Mountains and the stunning sunset. We definitely need to come back and see it in the fall. During our stay, we visited downtown Waynesville (great shops and restaurants ... Frog Level Brewery and The Red Fox were favorites), drove the Blue Ridge Parkway and stopped at many overlooks (Waterrock Knob is a relatively short drive from the house), and we ventured over to the Cherokee and Bryson City to ride the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. The highlight was seeing more than a dozen elk at the Oconaluftee Visitor Center in the morning before the visitor center opened, but we even saw some in a field in Maggie Valley. But mostly we loved sitting on the deck and relaxing in this home!

Excellent location! Home was just as described and like photos. Easily walkable to the downtown restaurants, shopping and activities in Waynesville.

Amazing! Thank you Eric for allowing me to experience one of the most beautiful and peaceful cabins I’ve ever stayed in. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the “ Feeling Frisky” it was unlike anywhere I’ve ever been. You hear nothing but nature, birds and the breeze. Absolute solitude! The cabin is so inviting, the king bed was perfect! The shower was very spacious with great water pressure and warmth. The first night I used the fireplace which was very relaxing. The kitchen has everything and more, I so appreciated the ice maker and washer & dryer. The vanity area near the bathroom with chair was especially nice. Hands down most time was spent on the porch! The view and privacy take your breath away! If you like hot tubs, enjoy it! I hope to make another memorable visit as soon as I can. Also, Eric graciously helped me with arranging an additional nights stay and was an amazing host!

The hosts were incredibly welcoming, ensuring everything was ready for a comfortable stay. Kitchen is a little small but plenty of great restaurants in Brevard right down the road. If you're searching for a place to unwind and reconnect with nature, this mountain cabin is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

This is my second stay at Michelle's cabin and it's always a great experience. The view is beautiful and the amenities are perfect 👌🏻. Highly recommended!

We felt completely relaxed during our stay, it was exactly the peaceful getaway we needed. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hot tub was a highlight, especially at night under the stars. The remote location made it feel private and calm, perfect for unwinding. Check-in was super easy, and Beth was very friendly and communicative throughout. We’d absolutely stay here again!

We loved staying at this sweet bungalow. It was comfortable, quiet, and spotless. Hosts were welcoming and responsive. It’s easy to walk anywhere you want to go and the entire stay was peaceful. Thank you! We will stay again.

As always, we LOVED our stay at Uncle Joe’s Cabin. This place is a little slice of heaven and this trip was exactly what our family needed. Our 4 kids always love playing in the creek and I loved napping on the porch listening to the creek and the rain. The cabin itself is so cozy and peaceful and the surroundings are simply beautiful! It’s the ideal location for a laid back, relaxing vacation full of family time!

A lovely place to stay, very relaxing. We mostly chose to eat in, and the kitchen is very well equipped. State parks nearby where we walked every day. There is traffic noise from the road below when out on the deck or at firepit, but the cabin is well sound-proofed and quiet inside. A great location to enjoy springtime in Georgia!

Such a beautiful and peaceful cabin tucked a way with a lot of hiking close by. The cabin was rustic, clean, and just as described/pictured. My boyfriend and I did a couple of nice hikes including Looking Glass Rock Trail as suggested by Lucas. Greg/Lucas were very accommodating and responsive.

Excellent location. Cabin was just as described. Quiet cabin in a peaceful location. Easily accessible. Short drive into town and only about 15 minutes to Cherokee. Cabin had everything we needed.

After an extremely difficult year, my family and I needed this getaway. We could not have been more happy with Marc’s rustic hideaway! It felt cozy, extremely at home, and all of us wanted to stay longer! We actually enjoyed it so much that my husband and I did indeed stay an extra night! If we are back in the area, this will be the first place that we check to stay!

Mike and Tammy were excellent at communicating with us and making sure we felt comfortable in our cabin! We loved cabin 1 and were in love with the little loft! We will definitely be back.

Accurate photographs of the room and surroundings. Perfect directions to find the location. I just wish there was an extra blanket. I have no other complaints about this listing and I would stay again.

Went for mini vacation for spring break with wife and our aussiedoodle from April 6 - 9, 2025. Found the cute cabin, we drove past it and when we came back we found it. As soon as we went in, loved the ambiance, the simplicity of the layout, very easy check in and it had all the amenities. What we loved best is listening to the river water flow as soon as we get up and when we go to sleep. Ample place for our dog to run. Saw a number of ground hogs ( I think ) Loved the porch with rocking chairs and also LOVED the hot tub. But what we loved was sitting by the river. The bathrooms were big, very clean. The beds were ok comfy. Creeks a lot :-) . But I have to say kudos to host Tina & GSCR for being very responsive for all our needs. We are sure to come back to this beautiful cabin. Thank you for hosting us.

We absolutely loved The Hobbit House and wanted for nothing while there! Our host, Donna, provided fantastic and helpful information about the house and surrounding area (restaurants, things to do, etc.). The house was lovely, charming, and had everything that we needed to be completely comfortable while there. It is conveniently located yet also private. We would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I booked Mike's place because it was recommended to us by family that lives in the area. It did not disappoint, in fact, it exceeded my expectations. I can't say enough of how clean and welcoming it was, and after a long drive we were so happy to unwind in such a perfect place. The location was also extremely important for us. It was near our family and it was walking distance to Main Street. We were a short drive to favorite restaurants and to Pisgah National Forest. I would not hesitate to recommend this place and look forward to visiting again. Thank you Mike! We appreciate your hard work in maintaining such a lovely place.

Really enjoyed our night here. Appreciated the clear instructions and everything is labeled well. The house and area is beautiful, sad it was too rainy to take advantage of the canoes. Would definitely stay here again.

Felt like home! This was our second time staying here (my sister and me with two pups), and we've loved it both times. The place is clean, has everything you'd need, and it's comfortable - just like home! Debbie is also very responsive and helpful. We were able to easily get to Pisgah national forest for hiking and to downtown Brevard for some breweries. We plan on going here on repeat. We've found the perfect home away from home!

Great location — 10 mins to the Blue Ridge parkway and 10 mins to grocery stores. The space was comfortable and we enjoyed lounging on the patio bed after a hike. Our dog loved the path behind the house too!

Our stay in the North Georgia mountains was terrific because of our kind hosts and their beautiful property. We especially appreciated their flexibility in allowing us to book at the last minute due to a severe storm that disrupted our camping plans. The cabin was clean, cozy, and well-equipped, providing a much-needed respite from the rain and a good night's sleep.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at Annemarie's cottage! We loved the peace and quiet and it's in a perfect location to both Cashiers and Highlands. Annemarie was so kind and responsive!!

A gorgeous little spot with a beautiful view! Clean and tidy with board games and books to share. The kitchen is well equipped with spices etc if you’ve forgotten anything. Bathroom is super cute! A unique little spot, cozy and comfy enough for an extended stay.
