Farmstay vacation rentals in High Peak District

We feel so lucky to have found Mill Farm Cottage, set in beautiful surroundings with all the farm animals and gorgeous dogs, Jill and Tess. Our children fell in love with the dogs and want to return again soon to stay! We were captivated by the birds coming into the garden, spotting the woodpecker several times and even the owl who visited at dusk on our last night! The house is extremely well equipped with everything you need for a self catering stay. Spacious and cosy cottage which felt like we were staying with family. Lynne is a wonderful host and we thank her for sharing her home and gardens with us during our stay!

Beautiful home, very attentive hosts, even with a slight issue out of the hosts hands, we had a lovely stay.

We stayed in the Manor for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with our relations from Australia. We had a fantastic stay! The rooms were a perfect size and could fit us all in for games and entertaining ourselves, the kitchen was fully stocked with all the crockery and glassware we needed, the children loved the games room and the hot tub and the house was beautifully adorned with Christmas decorations. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this characterful house.

Tom’s place was great! Really. cosy, very clean and comfortable. The beds and bedding were divine. Tom was on hand to help with any queries. His lace actually was better than it appears in the photos! Highly recommend staying here!

Fantastic stay! Plenty of space to spread out, everything was provided and the house was immaculate, clean & toasty warm. Lovely welcome basket and great recommendations and advice (great meal at the Crown & Anchor & stunning walk to the secret waterfall!) Kids could have stayed on the trampoline all day, adults in the hot tub :) Highly recommend if looking for a cosy home with easy access to Peak District.

What an amazing place. Exactly as described. Lovely welcoming touches such as coffee/tea, etc and cheeky bottle of wine! Perfect for our little getaway trip to climb Kinder Scout and explore the nearby B29 bomber plane wreckage. We were a couple and a teenager and dog. Great, unique accommodation and had everything we needed, including amazing underfloor heating in the shower room to soothe our aching feet! Definitely recommend for anyone wanting to explore this area of the Peaks.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Richard’s barn! The place is located in a beautiful area – perfect for sightseeing and long hikes in nature. The barn itself is cozy and very well equipped with everything you might need to relax and enjoy your time. The indoor fireplace adds a lovely atmosphere, and the hot tub is a fantastic bonus after a day of exploring. The location is ideal – peaceful and quiet, yet close to many great trails and local attractions. Richard is an absolutely lovely host – super friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in nature with all the comforts. We’ll definitely be coming back! Zaneta and friends plus dog

Lovely clean gorgeous barn, ideal location with everything we needed to spend the weekend without leaving but equally we enjoyed walking to two local pubs. Adam communicated well and was accommodating to our needs. Perfect weekend break

Lovely cabin with beautiful girls. My girls loved the farm animals and will miss stroking and petting the dogs 🐕(Tony, Betty and Moose).

Our two days stay in the Shepard’s hut was everything we wanted and more. The views and privacy were amazing, just as we like it. The best part of all and the main reason to choosing this place was the inclosed/fence that surrounds the entire area we stayed, our two energetic cocker spaniel dogs absolutely loved the freeness to run about at all times. The piggery was a lovely little find ,breathtaking views , tranquility,lovely to watch in the evening as all the lights come on in the valley,and count the stars , all in all a great stay thanks Barry for the chat ,and Bosco for the cuddles

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful stable-turned-home. The location was nicely secluded, peaceful and picturesque. The house itself was very well insulated and as depicted in the pictures. We only had to turn on the log burner once. If we had any questions, Julian was always quick to reply and super accommodating. Lots of cows nearby, if you love wildlife this is the perfect place for you!

Once again our stay at Drift View was fabulous - and way too short - one day we will actually go for a proper stay, to make the most of the beautiful hut, it’s surroundings and get to explore the area! Tess makes sure you feel welcome, comfortable and have everything you need. Another great stay

We had a wonderful stay here! Everywhere was clean and the staff were so friendly and accommodating! Our daughter loved it, the tearoom and animals there was an added bonus! Thankyou for a lovely stay!

Ami's barn is a wonderful place to stay. It is set in beautiful, tranquil surroundings at the edge of the Peak District, within easy reach of quaint villages and stunning walks. We loved the converted barn, a light-filled mono volume with a spacious mezzanine, which is tastefully decorated throughout. The perfect place to recharge - we'll visit again!

Really lovely short stay here. It was the perfect space for our family. having parking right next to the accommodation was very helpful. The kids were excited everytime they saw a tractor which was bonus entertainment for them.

Utterly incredible venue and hosts. We loved the characterful property, the rural location and the beautiful views. The Butterton area is wonderful and you must go a bit further to Wetton and visit Thor’s Cave if you’re into walking. Highly recommended and the pool is such an delightful bonus 🫶🫶

We have just returned from a fantastic visit to Ashover. The studio was clean and well equipped with everything you could need. The views from the property are stunning - perfect for watching the sunrise or sunset. Dominic and Jane were friendly and welcoming. They were able to recommend suitable walks for us with our dog and some dog friendly pubs and restaurants. We were looking for a peaceful getaway and that’s exactly what we got. Thank you.

An amazing property in a great location. The views were incredible! Check in was very easy, communication was great and even a mid trip amendment was no problem. The property was clean, well supplied and perfectly described. Definitely will be staying again in the future.

Gatehouse Cottage is a lovely 'home from home' find that exceeded our expectations. On arrival we were introduced to the owners, Lesley and Graham who assured us of their support should we need it. There was a lovely welcome pack with essentials: milk, tea,coffee, butter, breakfast cerials & eggs, as well as lovely extras: Croissants, home made cake, jam and marmalade👍. The cottage is spacious and airy with lovely views of the garden. There is a very sunny patio with easy access from the french doors. The cottage is excellent for anyone with mobility issues. Everything is clean and well maintained. We booked Gatehouse Cottage as it was close to The Venue where we were attending a family wedding. You can walk to The Venue within 15 minutes or book a taxi costing £3.50. (Elland Taxi). We had family staying close by and Lesley was very accomodating when they visited us - including their dog. Excellent find and can highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at the Milking Parlor over Easter. Great spot with amazing views. The cottage was well equiped, comfy bed and everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We visited Bakewell, Haddon hall & did a 6 mile loop around Chatsworth, its estate & villages on a lovely sunny Easter Sunday.

An excellent location and property. Our third stay at Norma’s cottage. The cottage has everything we need in an idyllic spot surrounded by fields and hills. The sitting room and beds are comfortable and the kitchen functional and clean. We will return. Recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful break.

The place is lovely perfect for peace and quiet lovely long walks and sitting outside by the fire we enjoyed every minute simon and his wife are lovely.
