Vacation rentals in Herrington Lake

My wife and I had a wonderful vacation at Judith's cottage. She and her husband were very welcoming and super responsive. The cottage is centrally located to the heart of the Bourbon Trail. We also took our dogs on this vacation. While the weather didn't cooperate (think dogs and mud), Judith did everything possible to make us feel welcome and to ensure we had a great time. I highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking to get away and unplug while sampling the Bourbon Trail.

While this house is not particularly close to bourbon tastings, the size of the house and quiet neighborhood ensured we were well rested for the next day’s adventure. About 40 minutes from Lexington and 90 minutes from Louisville, we spent a lot of time driving between destinations. The house itself was well equipped for our party of six. Plenty of space for each person’s privacy and large common areas that allowed everyone to eat and drink together. We were unable to enjoy the water below due to recent flooding.

We recently rented this charming house for a two-night getaway, and it was everything we hoped for and more! Nestled in a remote and beautiful location, the setting was absolutely stunning—ideal for a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The house itself was cozy and well-equipped, providing us with all the amenities we needed. We loved the various activities available on-site, which kept us entertained during our stay. Whether it was playing games, enjoying some downtime, or just soaking in the peaceful surroundings, there was never a dull moment. One minor downside was the weather; we wished it would have cooperated a bit more so we could fully enjoy walking the grounds and taking in the breathtaking views. However, we made the most of our time indoors and had a fantastic time catching up and relaxing. Jeff’s place was perfect! Much more breath taking in person than the photos! Beds are soft, hot tub and tv outside were perfect! We will definitely be returning soon!

Loved our stay! The house had everything we needed to enjoy a long weekend. We were walking distance to a local bbq restaurant and right across from Lake Linville. We were able to walk across the street and do a little fishin’.
