Villa Maria, a fairy tale house in Alsace

Welcome to Villa Maria, our fairy tale guest house in a calm location next to the forest and with a vast garden in the village Lauterbourg in Northern Alsace, France. It's just 5 min by foot to the heart of the village with a couple of bakeries, restaurants, a grocery store and small shops, or 10 min to the beach & lake. It's only 2 min by car from Germany, and a perfect location for exploring the Rhine border region Karlsruhe-Strasbourg, or for a rest on the way when travelling across Europe.

Our vacation home in Burrweiler is located at the edge of the Palatinate Forest on the southern wine route in the middle of the chestnut forest on the Teufelsberg, at 355 m altitude, below the St. Anna Chapel. On the 1250 sqm fenced forest property, there is a viewing area with a distant view of the Rhine plain, a patio made of old oak trunks and a picnic bench. Minimum booking: 3 days We are happy to pick up travelers by train from the Wiesloch train station. The comfortably furnished apartment on the upper floor of our two-family house has its own entrance, a wide view of the Kraichgau hills, and a quiet location in a cul-de-sac. The house is powered by solar power and biogas for heating.

Small cottage on the Dilsberg

Small house within the beautiful, old fortress Dilsberg, near Heidelberg. The house is furnished with a lot of love for detail and part of the old fortress wall. Renovated in 2019, only ecological materials were used. On the ground floor are the living room, kitchen, hallway and bathroom. Bedrooms (mattresses replaced 08/2025) small anteroom are accessible on the upper floor via a narrow staircase. There are two wood stoves. Firewood is there. NO WI-FI!

We bought the farm 11 years ago and have been building, gardening and living here very happily ever since, despite all the tasks that still await. Meanwhile, our daughter Nele's family also lives on the farm. Nele is also always approachable. You can find us on the outskirts of Wald-Erlenbach.

Waldheim Lindenfels

The Waldheim is an Art Nouveau villa in the climatic health resort of Lindenfels overlooking the castle and the Weschnitztal and has a separate apartment for up to 6 people. The Waldheim is located directly on the Nibelungensteig hiking trail at the edge of the Schenkenberg forest. Highlights include the panoramic view, the sauna and the communal garden.

You can enjoy nature without direct neighbors and are still in the residential area of Durlach after 200 m. The pedestrian zone of Durlachs can be reached in 5 minutes by car and only 12 minutes by car is Karlsruhe, the 2nd largest city in Baden-Württemberg. A wonderful place to relax and unwind!
