Fantastic cabin located in a very peaceful setting in the forest, but with a close commute to nearby farms and Vinstra. The place has everything you might need, including a very nice fireplace. The cabin is very lovely.

Andre gang vi har leid stedet, og det er akkurat like vakkert og velkommende nå som for fem år siden. Fantastisk sted med fantastiske verter. 10/10, would come again 🙂

Henning ist ein sehr netter Gastgeber. Wir haben uns 2 Wochen sehr wohl gefühlt. Wer das Inserat genau liest wird auf keinen Fall enttäuscht sein. Für mich mit einer Körpergröße von 191 cm waren die Türen schon sehr klein. Ich habe mir 2 mal kräftig den Kopf gestoßen. Danach kannte ich die Höhe. Gala ist für Skilanglauf ein Traum. Wer es etwas besonders mag ist im Haus von Henning genau richtig.

Vi hadde et fint opphold, anbefales.

We had a great stay in the house. we 4 families went there along with children and everyone liked the house a lot. the house has everything we needed.. beautiful surroundings and view. we would love to come back again. the host is always available to respond. finally, both adults and children liked the self service shop, where we got fresh eggs, apple juice, ice creams, etc. Thanks for hosting us.

Kjempefint sted, stille og fredelig. Leiligheten har alt det man trenger, bl.a vedfyring som jeg synes er ekstra koselig. Elsker at det er en egen terasse og en liten hageflekk som i tillegg er inngjerdet - perfekt for hunden! Anbefales å bo her, spesielt for den som er glad i naturen :)

Ellen was very responsive and helpful. In fact she replied immediately to any requests and questions. Her cabin was welcoming, homely and spotlessly clean. She had added lots of thoughtful touches candles were already in the holders, the fire pit already had logs in it, there were games both inside and outside and throws to keep us cosy! The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. The garden leading into the woods was absolutely beautiful and a real treat with seating in lots of areas. The view of the lake was breathtaking even in the fog and low cloud! In the garden we spotted lots of wildlife including a nuthatch on the bird table and a woodpecker in a nearby tree. Close to Oslo but we preferred to explore Hamar and Lillehamar. Highly recommended and we would love to return. Our only regret is the cabin is too far from our home to use regularly. Peaceful, welcoming, tranquil and comfortable! A perfect cabin retreat!

The house is absolutely wonderful and cozy - it feelt like my second home! Rune is incredibly attentive and always ready to help with whatever I need. There were clear instructions and helpful tips available for trips around. Plus, we had lovely conversations even when I didn’t have any questions. Thank you so much for a truly fantastic stay!

Its very calm, relaxing place to stay and i really love the mix of traditional and modern designs in the house. The terrace facing the horses is what our family loves to looked at in the morning. Nina was also very helpful and responsive whenever i have questions on the house. Highly recommended for anyone to stay.

Veldig fint og idyllisk sted, kjempefint hus med god plass til vår familie på fem. En hyggelig vert som hadde varmet opp huset og tent i peisen til vi kom om kvelden. Det ble en ekstra koselig start på et fint opphold for oss. Kan absolutt anbefales :-)

Ich kann Hege und die Unterkunft nur wärmstens empfehlen. Ich wollte vier Wochen allein in norwegs Natur verbringen. Zeit haben für mich und jedenTag zum Langlaufen gehen. Für die Ruhe und Natur haben das Haus und dessen Lage bei getragen. Das Wetter hat für den zauberhaften Winter gesorgt. Hege war bei Fragen immer schnell errichtbar und hat mir für die vier Wochen ihre Küchenmaschine geliehen. So konnte ich sogar mein eigenes Brot backen. Diese Hilfsbereitschaft ist ein großes Geschenk, wenn man für 4 Wochen in der Fremde weilt. Hege vielen Lieben Danke dafür. GLG Björn

I absolutely loved my stay here. It is a beautiful, tidy, clean and cosy house in a quiet area away from the main road. With beautiful views of Lillehammer as a backdrop and yet just a 10 minute drive away, it was perfect for me. I couldn't have found a better, more suitable place for me to relax as well as come home to after activities in the area. Bente and Bjarne were lovely hosts. Being neighbours, it was easy to ask questions, which they were happy to answer. I have loved our conversations and am already looking forward to coming back someday for another visit!

Vi hadde et veldig fint opphold i denne koselige og fine hytta. Beliggenheten er perfekt for skiturer, med løypene like i nærheten. Espen var rask til å svare og hjelpsom både før og etter oppholdet. Anbefales!

Felt right at home with the beautiful surroundings of Kvikne. Had a great stay. The house was super tidy and very clean. The place was an excellent base for us to explore Rondane.

Hey, Ich und meine Freunde hatten wundervolle und erholsame Tage in Carstens AirBnb. Die Wohnung war sauber und ordentlich, man hatte alles was man braucht inklusive genug Utensilien um auch für 8 Leute zu kochen. Insbesondere die Terrasse war win Traum um Morgens mit Seeblick zu frühstücken ein wenig Sport zu machen und dann von da aus entweder zum See oder wandern zu gehen. Wir können die Unterkunft sehr weiter empfehlen und sind sehr froh das wir auch als etwas jüngere Gruppe hier sein durften.

This vacation rental was an absolute dream! The tasteful decor, cozy touches, and fully equipped kitchen made us feel right at home. We loved the peaceful backyard with its stunning views, hot tub and sauna. The location offered a perfect balance of tranquility and convenience. The hosts were welcoming and helping. Overall, it exceeded our expectations and provided a truly exceptional and memorable getaway. Highly recommended!

Absolutely fabulous stay for our family of four. We loved the quiet location and proximity to the ski slopes (Norefjell). The place was warm and cosy and had everything we needed. The Kiri supermarket was close and was reasonably priced. The day we didn’t ski we spent around and about the lake which was a lovely and interesting walk. Would loved to have seen this beautiful place in the snow! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

Nina is a very lovely host. She responds immediately and helped us with finding activities and things to do in the area. She also invited us over for some mulled wine and prepared a bonfire for us. The view from the house is amazing, the interior is cosy, perfect for a cosy getaway

Many thanks for the welcome. It is an ideal location and house for the five fishermen we were. It is so authentic with all the modern equipments we needed ... We also enjoyed the beautiful sauna. The only improvement could be to add a bit more firewood. For a tourist like us , it is not so obvious to find some firewood to buy. Anyway, definitely a good place to come back.

Wir hatten einen super Aufenthalt. Die Wohnung bietet viel Platz, eine gut ausgestattete Küche und eine geniale Aussicht. Lise war immer erreichbar umd hat uns schnell weitergeholfen. Die Langlaufloipen sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Für uns war alles super. Wir würden definitiv wiederkommen.
