Family-friendly vacation rentals in Hedmark

We used the house with 2 adults and our dogs. The cozy yet upscale amenities made it easy for us to feel comfortable right away. With moderate winter temperatures, it was not so often necessary to light the fireplace; prepared firewood would have been available. The underfloor heating has kept the house at a very pleasant temperature. We had our own ski equipment with us, but Svein had also offered us his equipment and that of his wife. Very nice contact with Svein.

We enjoyed our brief stay at Kristian’s apartment. It was a bit tricky to find the apartment and it’s up five sets of stairs (we left luggage in the car!) but we appreciated the thorough instructions Kristian gave us when he greeted us upon arrival (we weren’t used to meeting the host - that’s not really done in the US). Amenities were nice and we’d definitely stay again!

the cabin is in the middle of the forest and very calm and quiet, it was incredibly cozy inside as the outside, we did not take the time and try out the stomp since it takes so long and fill up and get it warm, this is an amazing family cottage

Marthe 's place was lovely. We stayed there for one week and we had a great time. Grocery stores and restaurants just one minute walk away. The subway station was also one minute away and the Central S station was about 5 minutes away. The bus stop to Bygdoy (museums) was about 2 minutes away. The neighborhood was very lively in the evenings with many people outside. We felt completely safe. The apartment itself was large and clean with funky art decorations, perfect for a family with enough space for everyone. The wifi was very fast. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace and enjoying the rooftop views. Marthe was very kind and communication was fast. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place. Thanks Marthe for everything.

We had a lovely time at Christoffer’s place, the apartment is well furnished and communication worked really well. The location is also nice and the neighborhood has lots to do and it’s easy to reach by public transport. We’d stay here again!

We were 6 adults and 3 children aged 2-6 years and there was really good space. Lovely cabin is on 2 levels with 2 sofa areas, so not everyone has to be in the same room all the time. The rooms are well located far apart, so you don't disturb each other. Great beds, both in terms of sizes and comfort. Well-equipped kitchen with large pans and both small and large pots. Lots of cutlery and crockery. We cooked from scratch every day and we didn't need anything at any time. All in all, a lovely week in a lovely cabin. If we come back to Trysil, we will definitely try to rent this cabin again.

Alazing place! Third time we rent this cabin, and we enjoyed it just as much this time as we have done previously. 100% recomend if you are in Oppdal!

Very lovely stay, hope to come back one day ! The house is really magical and everything was as clean and functional. The water has a bit of a taste, like some other guests noted, so we brought a few bottles with us just for drinking and it was no problem. Bente left us some delicious home-made biscuits for our arrival. It was easy to access and park. It snowed a lot, but everything was regularly plowed. Thank you for everything !

We felt like at home and had a very pleasant stay at the house. Firing in the fireplace in the morning and looking out at nature was super cozy.

Fantastic cabin located in a very peaceful setting in the forest, but with a close commute to nearby farms and Vinstra. The place has everything you might need, including a very nice fireplace. The cabin is very lovely.

We had a great time in the super equipped and large apartment in Oslo! The apartment is in a quiet area right next to a small park and is also not far from the city center. The communication with Anne was great: concerns on our site were responded to within a very short time! Definitely recommended for anyone who wants to have a nice and relaxing time in Oslo.

Super homey cabin and the space around, here we would love to come again! However, we missed some sheltered view in the bathroom and the opportunity to have it darker in the bedrooms. Or all in all tip top ✨

We had a great 4-day stay at Laila's place! The house is spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. As we were only 2 people, we only stayed in the ground floor. But there is an upper floor with a open room and a few beds. One of the highlights is definitely the warmth of the house, thanks to the heated floors and wood fire (super cozy). The house is not right in the city, so we’d recommend it if you are looking for a quiet and private place :)

My partner and I stayed at Nuno’s place for two nights while snowboarding in Trysil, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. Nuno is a gracious and attentive host who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and well looked after. The accommodation was cozy, comfortable, and spotless, with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere that made it truly special. Based on previous reviews, we decided to try Nuno’s home-cooked meals, and we’re so glad we did! He’s an exceptional chef, and the food was one of the highlights of our stay. We highly recommend staying at Nuno’s, you won’t be disappointed!

We had such a wonderful stay here. The house is stunning, had everything we could need and the hosts were lovely. They helped with local recommendations as well as making sure we had all the information we needed for the house. Not to mention the gift of some mixture for us to make traditional waffles! The train station is just a few minutes' walk. The kids particularly loved the pool and table tennis table, and I really enjoyed the beautiful walks that are possible from the property. All in all a five star stay.

A great villa with many accommodation options. Especially great: the two huge Lego boxes 😍 It took some getting used to that the two bathrooms have separate entrances, but are only separated from each other by a shower curtain. However, this was also described in the property description. Oyvind was also helpful in finding a ski school or recommending restaurants! All in all a great place to stay. Highly recommended!

Beautiful apartment with fantastic view overlooking the harbour area. Easy walk to Opera House, and then into town. Great communication from hosts and flexibility with check-in when our flight was cancelled. Thanks for a great stay!

Great Apartment in an awesome and stylish neighborhood right by the water, lots of restaurants and close by Munch, national theatre, the train station and the city. We were a large family group gathering for our first time in Oslo. The island location is gorgeous and the house is both beautiful and well suited to a family group. Catherine was proactive in getting our groceries delivered so we were comfortable despite no stores on the island. We also had free use of their boat which allowed us to arrange our schedule as we liked. Pacing with our large family group meant accounting for two shuttle trips to get all of us across to the mainland. The 31 bus line was close and frequent for getting us into Oslo. We bought a week pass but no one ever seemed to check the bus ticket. The house itself was well equipped with everything kitchen, fireplace and gorgeous outdoor space. It was a little cool and rainy for the pool but the hanging outdoor bed was a favorite spot to hang out.

Great host, great stay, exceeded expectations. We were really happy with the place, it had plenty of room and beds for our guests. There is room for 2-3 cars at front, could not hear any road noise so it was peaceful, plenty of bedding and everything felt clean and fresh. Kids loved using the trampoline and playing some of the many games that are around. Kitchen was well stocked with cutlery and everything you need. Iron and ironing board was handy as well as washing machine. Gym was a nice to have with TV whilst you work out. The host was really quick to respond when we had questions and they were very professional. Overall, we loved our stay here!
