Monthly Rentals in Haukedalsvatnet

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at this cabin. The cabin is located by a quite busy road (by Norwegian standards! quiet by most standards), but is well insulated from noise and has great views. Access is easy and there is plenty of hiking to do nearby. The cabin itself is very well kept, extremely clean and cosey. We would have happily stayed there longer! Highly recommend.

We have had lakeside rentals all our lives, and NONE compare to THIS ONE. (Warning: USE THE MAP LINK SHE SENDS YOU. Regular GPS systems will look right, but may be wrong.) Marianne & Roy have thought of EVERYTHING, from a full kitchen to extra towels, and décor to make you fall in love, with details in every nook and cranny. Large grocery stores are only a 10 min drive (if you can pull yourself away). Roy met us at the door (even though we were late, due to GPS) and walked us through the whole property, showed us hiking maps, the best lure for fishing (already attached!), and had a detailed binder in several languages for FAQs! They are gracious, communicative, and welcoming. The lake is INCREDIBLE and feels private and peaceful. There are little streams and waterfalls at every turn. The gorgeous pictures online are not only accurate - they undersell. If you get the chance, sleep in the annex early in your stay - you may decide it's where you want to be from then on. :)

Nice and quiet. There was wood so I could fire in the fireplace myself, it was really nice. Recommended for someone who wants to change everyday life for a bit of life in the countryside. Thank you for allowing me to stay with you.😊

The house is located in an exceptional setting. We were very generously hosted by Lars who we thank very much for his responsiveness and hospitality. We were able to enjoy the pool table, boat and hot tub. Everything was perfect! The nearby shops are also a real plus. We hope to be back, as we had a time out. Thanks for everything!
