Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Harstine Island

We stayed here with 4 under 4 and the kiddos loved it! There was soooo much for them to do at the house - they never wanted to leave to do other things. The hosts were responsive and helpful when needed. There is even more toys than the pictures! Beds were comfy & kitchen was very well stocked! We enjoyed playing on the playground too!

Our stay at the Otter Haven was wonderful! The views are breathtaking, no matter the weather or time of day. It was the perfect space for us to host some out of town family members and finally enjoy our first holiday gathering since before the pandemic. There was plenty of space, seating, beds, and everything else we needed during our stay. Glen was very responsive and available for questions while we made arrangements and plans for hosting Thanksgiving dinner (and our own home is close by, so the convection oven was perfect for our needs). We love finding gems near home, and I can definitely see us staying at the Otter Haven sometime in the future (maybe when the weather is warm enough to enjoy the kayaks and outdoor spaces!). We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful retreat on Harstine Island! The home is located in a quiet, gated community that felt very safe with easy access to the shared private beach and community clubhouse. The views from the house were absolutely stunning, especially with the beautiful blooming azeleas! It’s the perfect spot if you’re looking to unplug, reconnect with nature, and enjoy the beauty of the Puget Sound. We can’t wait to come back!

Our stay at the Ostrich nest was great! Right on the water, with plenty of amenities and a fantastic outdoor space to take advantage of. We kayaked around the island in about 95 leisurely minutes using the provided kayaks and paddles. A/C was available but not needed - yet good to know it was there. The kitchen had everything you'd expect from a short term rental as well. All in all, it was a good weekend.

The Beach House is absolutely magical. We went as a multi-generational family, and there was ample space for all of us. We had two small children (3 and 4) and the entire space felt very safe for them to run around and play in. The views of the water are spectacular; whether you are inside the house, or out on any of the multiple outdoor spaces in the back yard. We also used the kayaks on the property, and had a great time on the water. Each day of our stay we cooked our food in the well-equipped kitchen. Each of the rooms were beautifully decorated and have comfortable furnishings. My husband was most impressed with the thoughtful placement of the phone chargers throughout the house. Randy has anticipated his guests and their needs; providing a true home away from home! I would recommend The Beach House for anyone, but especially for those who want either peaceful relaxation or fun adventures!!

We really enjoyed staying at Jenny's place, the listing is super accurate and it really had everything you could wish for! The communication with Jenny was great, the check-in process effortless, the location amazing and the house overcomplete - every ingredient for a great stay. Would come again and highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our short time here! The home is exactly as described, one of the cleanest Airbnbs I've stayed in, and has an unbelievable view. We saw a family orcas, porpoises, and a seal from the deck! Rose is very responsive and sent all information we needed to use and access the home and amenities! The community hall is also terrific and a great place to meet other visitors/residents of the island. We will definitely be coming back! :)

This was truly one of the most relaxing weekends we’ve had in quite a long time. We met Sara & Jerry upon our arrival- they were very warm & made us feel comfortable right away. The apartment is perfect for a couple that wants to get away to a beautifully serene, relaxing, & quiet place. The apartment is comfortable & decorated very well. Sara keeps the grounds a gorgeous sanctuary for birds & bees. On a few occasions we even got to see the Bald Eagle couple that like to nest in one of the very tall trees of the property. It was so nice to wake up to a stunning view each morning & just enjoy the view. The stars are out at night so bright & if you ask, Jerry will leave you a little fire wood if you’d like to sit down by the little fire pit they have. Sara & Jerry are both kind, gracious, & hospitable people with a great love for the island & their community. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic stay! The home had everything we needed: a full kitchen, clean bathroom, two comfy bedrooms, two cozy sitting rooms, and a washer/dryer—which was a huge help with our baby. It was fully stocked with fresh linens, towels, and blankets. The outdoor patio with a fire pit and stunning water views was a perfect place to relax. Jill and Gregg were wonderful hosts—warm, responsive, and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Jill even greeted us with homemade brownies and a bottle of wine! The house is family-friendly and included a pack and play, which made traveling with our 4-month-old so much easier. If you’re visiting the Fox Island or Gig Harbor area, don’t hesitate—this place is a gem. We would absolutely stay here again!

This place was exactly what was described and you get what you paid for. Patrick was really kind, offered early check in and communicated really well. The apartment was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The blackout blinds were PERFECT! It is small apartment however it was just me and my small child and for the amount of days we were there it worked for us. The area is not the absolute best but it was very quiet and clean for the most part. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

wonderful 2 story home. perfect place for our family of 3 adults and 1 four year old. place was very clean and had all amenities as listed. Host went out of way to help us when couldn't find a hairdryer and brought one over immediately. Would highly recommend. 5+ stars!

I appreciated how friendly Beth is and I’m so grateful they have an Airbnb. The space had gorgeous views of the sound kitchen two bedrooms full bath. It was on a nice sized property felt very private and safe. Beth was great at communicating and helping us know how to get in and how to check out. Anderson Island is a beautiful place with kind residents. We highly recommend Beth’s place at Anderson Island!

This house is incredible. The location is perfect, walking distance to many food and drink spots. There is an amazing coffee shop right on the corner. Sauna and soaking tub are relaxing. The house is clean and organized and has clear instructions. Hosts are helpful and knowledgable. Highly recommend!

All communication was via Airbnb app and sufficient detailes were provided. The host even let me know that the place was clean/available before the promised check in time. The appartment was clean and nice. On the negative side, the flooring was squeaky (noisy) and netflix was listed in the advertisement but was not available in the tv.

We absolutely loved our stay! Toni Marie made everything so easy and the apartment exceeded our expectations from all the little touches to the surprisingly comfy sofabed to the serene rooftop. If we had to single out a favorite detail, it’s the big surrounding trees that make the apartment feel like it’s in the middle of a city park. Everything was perfect and we didn’t want to leave!

We had a wonderful stay at Ron’s place. We were visiting our son and family and were very close to their home. We had a spectacular view of the sound from the condo. Having a washer/dryer wasn’t something we thought we would need but it ended up coming in handy before we left. Ron responded to our texts very promptly. Would highly recommend Ron’s place to anyone visiting the area.

We just had an amazing time in Robert’s place - made extra special because we could park our car easily there and go absolutely everywhere by foot! The apartment was extremely well equipped, comfortable and Robert was an exceptionally responsive and proactive host. We’ll be back!

Check in was seamless and we really enjoyed being able to walk to restaurants in town. The place was very cozy and perfect for my husband and I. The bottle of wine was a nice touch. We will return to Tonia’s next time we are in Bainbridge!

Really lovely stay at Rachel's place. Best parts for me was the location (easy walks to all the Winslow has to offer and on/off the ferry to head to the city. The other good parts were the bed (comfy) and the landscaping around the space - very well done. Would definitely stay here again.

The AirBnB was perfect for a week long stay in Seattle. Its right in downtown, so you can walk down and get to restaurants, shops and more. Pike place and waterfront are at walking distance too. I could go on runs with my dog along the waterfront. Its a secure building which made the experience more safe and relaxed for me.

We are a family of four who spent eight fantastic nights at this property, and we absolutely loved it. Everything was exactly as described, and the location near SeaTac Airport was incredibly convenient for our early morning and late-night flights. It was also easy to explore both Seattle and Bellevue from here. The apartment complex is peaceful and well-maintained, with several pools. Cole and Ella provided clear and easy-to-follow instructions, and the Wi-Fi connection was flawless. I highly recommend this place without hesitation!
