Villa vacation rentals in Gulf of Nicoya

The house is beautiful, it has a very nice view, there are congos, the beach is very close and we got to see turtles laying eggs. In addition, Evan's service was wonderful, he brought us some delicious seeds and was always attentive, we would definitely come back.

The most amazing view we got to see in Costa Rica, over lush mountains all the way to the Pacific Ocean!!! The accommodation was exactly as pictured, very new and super clean. The pool areas is very pleasant and the hosts were extremely friendly!

The most beautiful airbnb I’ve ever stayed in! Hands down.

Hands down the most beautiful place we've visited. Our kids (6 &3) basically lived in the pool/bay for the 10 days we were there. We were the only unit rented out of the 8 houses, so we had the whole pool area to ourselves (and the beach most days too!). Our favorite part had to be the wildlife: howler monkeys in the trees right outside the house, countless scarlet macaws flying overhead, manta rays surfing the waves in the bay, and iguanas galore. Jeannette and Bas were wonderful communicators and so helpful with local recommendations. The setting is so beautiful that we didn't eat out once, just made food in the incredibly well stocked kitchen and ate outside with the view. Some helpful tips: 1) bring sleep masks. The curtains don't block much light and the sun rises at 5:30am making early mornings for kids! 2) It took us 7 hours each way from San Jose (traffic, ferry wait, ferry ride, etc.) so it's a commitment to visit. But oh, so worth it! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Ramona is the most outstanding host I have ever encountered while using Airbnb. This trip was to celebrate a birthday and our stay was nothing short of perfect. Ramona was so responsive and checked in on us via chat throughout the stay to ensure we had a very smooth stay. Her home is just breathtaking and her assistance with getting my itinerary together which included a private chef, transportation, and excursions in such a short timeframe, I was speechless!! I cannot stop telling my friends about my experience and am already planning a trip back in 2026! Thank you so much for the unforgettable experience Ramona!

Beautiful stay, responsive hosts and incredibly helpful, friendly on-site staff. Very quiet, relaxing atmosphere. I often had the pool to myself. This was one of the most beautiful accomodations I’ve had with the best customer service. I accidentally broke a glass and they sent someone within minutes to sweep with a dustpan and deep clean the next morning. I was impressed. I will definetly hope to return with my loved ones!

My favorite air bnb ever! Everything was so clean and aesthetic. Pictures here are amaze. Avi was so helpful with any questions we had and even brought transportation to us. I will definitely be back

We had a great time at Villa Lasai! Sophie- the concierge, did a great job assisting us with anything we needed and the house itself is exactly what you see on the pictures- gorgeous with breathtaking views, great pool and outdoor area. I am not an early bird by any means but I enjoyed waking up early in this house a lot- hearing all the forest inhabitants, ocean waves breaking somewhere further make you want to start your day to see/feel more of that. The house is located up the hill and the road is partially paved which took us one full round trip to get used to, but once you get a hang of it- it’s totally fine just a bit bumpy. In terms of proximity to everything the location is great, once you’re down the hill- you’re on the main street of Santa Teresa with all the restaurants, shops and tons of ocean access points. Overall, would definitely recommend Villa Lasai and would love to come back here some time in the future!

We had an awesome time staying at Maitri in Tamarindo! The place was super clean, comfy, and had a great laid-back vibe. Loved hanging by the pool, interacting with the “el gato” the local cat, and having access to the beach club was a huge plus (great service)—perfect spot to relax, get in the pool, and watch the sunset. It's also super close to all the restaurants, shops, and the beach in Tamarindo, so everything was super convenient. Hosts were awesome and helpful. Would totally stay here again!

Amazing stay in Santa Teresa made even better with Sami’s concierge! Emilio (concierge) was INCREDIBLE and the daily cleaning crew. Responded daily to all of my questions and inquiries about the home. Provided great recommendations and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay. The house was great, just what we needed. The pool, outdoor areas, kitchen, and bedrooms were all my favorites. Highly recommended!

It was our second stay at Villa St. Barth, and we hope it will not be the last one. We enjoy this privacy oasis very close to the touristy areas of the Tamarindo Coast. The property is secluded; you neither see nor feel any neighbours, yet it is just a few hundred meters away from a very nice fish restaurant. The house is squeaky clean and very comfortable to live in. The property's focal point is a pool suitable for lap swimming. We spend hours in the pool daily, looking for a busy bird life and occasional squirrels or monkeys.

Yonatan’s home and hospitality is the best experience I have ever had on AirBnb—the house is stunning, Yonatan’s communication was beyond excellent. He set up cabs for us, gave amazing restaurant recommendations, had a private link to set up excursions with Local Bird, a great delivery service to get groceries (SippDelivery) and had beer and wine and treats from the AMAZING local bakery waiting for us upon arrival. The beds are soooo comfortable and laundered to perfection by the housekeeper, Deyling, who comes every day. We brought my parents as a gift and it was a gift to us all that we chose Villa Kaleo. The pool is great, the view is gorgeous. We saw white face monkeys, iguanas, heard howler monkeys—all around the house. Highly recommend horseback riding with Oscar as well. GO!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful home in Tamarindo! It was perfect for our two families (7 people total, including 3 kids ages 5–8). The house was spacious, well-stocked, and felt very safe and comfortable for both adults and children. The location couldn’t have been better—just steps from the beach and with a fantastic pool that we used every day. The host was outstanding, providing great local recommendations and even helping us arrange airport shuttles and excursions. Everything was seamless from start to finish. We can’t wait to come back!

Three of us stayed at Wanderlust to celebrate the upcoming wedding of a friend. Our stay was nothing short of amazing. Highlights of the accommodations were the incredibly comfortable beds, the peaceful atmosphere and the fantastic hot tub. What really makes this place stand out is Jai. Jai could not have done more to make our stay a magical occasion. She provided us with impeccable food and drink recommendations, connected us with local, trustworthy transportation and bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect. Jai really is a special treat. We all hope to be back someday.

We had an amazing time at Nirvana Villas. This was not our first time in Tamarindo but it was our first time saying here. Host was communicative prior to our arrival and offered recommendations for dinners and activities. The compound I believe has 5 stand alone villas and was quiet and secure. We rented a golf cart but the location is definitely walkable to town. We would definitely stay here again if we are in Tamarindo.

Amazing villa with amazing stuff!

Inspiring, beautiful, luxurious and a view 10X of what is shared in the photos. Thank you for hosting me. The gated road with evening to late morning security guard outstanding. Gated neighborhood was impressive and secure. The residence here is ample in parking space, very well lit at nighttime and minimal in stairs for ease in accessibility. Exterior facing the valley and ocean with unobstructed view, large pool, comfortable and high-end exterior furniture, all facing the pacific ocean horizon and jungle valley is incredible to enjoy. Insects and bugs non issue, plus its apart far enough from neighbors to enjoy some calm volume level outdoor music. Interior is luxury, with floor to ceiling end wall to wall windows both front side / back side. AC is powerful, wifi too. Dining area, epic, couch tv's are epic. Bathrooms, Master Bedrooms and Guest rooms are all impressive. Everyone speaks to the mountain road upwards to arrive here. Its really nothing for any modern vehicle.

Pricilla and Pia were absolutely amazing hosts! From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had an extended family in Costa Rica. They were always just a message away—whether it was for a quick question or an unexpected emergency (our little daughter spiked a fever and needed to see a doctor), they were there with immediate support, kindness, and guidance. Their recommendations for things to do, places to eat, and local services were all top-notch and made our trip even more special. Thanks to them, we felt safe, informed, and incredibly well taken care of. My family—including our three young kids—had the time of our lives at the Seamonkey. We left with unforgettable memories and full hearts. Highly recommend this incredible stay to anyone visiting the area!

Our friends rented this house a year ago and loved it so much that we decided to book it for our honeymoon, and we are happy we did. The Casa Mirame concierge team made everything flawless - from restaurant recommendations and setting up excursions, to even booking our 4x4 rental at the Cobano Airport. You need 4x4. The road is steep and partially unpaved. However, the drive is more than worth it. The home is spotless, includes daily maid service, looks better than the photos, and the views are magical. The place is totally private, and the pool is AMAZING. We would watch birds and listen to monkeys and the waves in the distance while the sun set.

The villa was amazing, we really enjoyed staying there, an experience we will remember for a long time.

I would highly recommend Alan and his Villa. From the start he was very responsive and helpful for accommodations. I constantly visit Santa Teresa and this was my favorite stay so far. The villa was clean, private, the pool was beautiful and Tomas,our concierge, did a great job checking us in, providing recommendations and making us feel like home. the house was BEAUTIFULLLLLLLLL the scenery was amazing! Roberto was a great host and was very responsive and addressed all my questions & concerns. The chef he recommended was also great, food was good! Only 2 cons bugs inside the home but that’s not their faults, we understand it came with the area and the front door was locked our whole stay (we entered the house through the back sliding door) But no biggie! I still enjoyed my stay and would recommend Roberto’s house 100%.

The view of this house was breathtaking. We enjoyed visiting the town of Tamarindo & seeing the sunset. If you are looking for authentic Costa Rican food make sure to visit the Sodas (what all their small restaurants are called). We enjoyed every single one of them & are very reasonably priced. We visited playa Conchal which was my favorite beach & not far but also did the Leona waterfall hike and zip lining which was so much fun & beautiful. After our activities we were able to come home to our fresh and clean airbnb and dip in the pool then end the night with Netflix or a TV series. We didn’t have the swing which would’ve been a nice photo prop, but that’s alright. We hope to come back again but with our family or friends, we love Costa Rica so much. My husband really bonded with John the security & would enjoy their night talks. We loved how he greeted us with a smile. We will miss him. Gracias amigo y saludos.
