Private room with AC in Santa Teresa

Amazing place to stay. El chante is a few mins walk to hermosa beach which in my opinion is nicer than Santa Teresa. LA and Nina helped us organise getting a quad bike and surf lessons and taxis. The place itself is beautiful and the pool is an ideal place to relax in. Couldn’t recommend more!

We really enjoyed our stay with Fernando and his team! very chill atmosphere and helpful staff, great pool and only a short walk to the beach. Playa Hermosa is much quieter that Santa Teresa but with the basic infrastructure. highly recommended

Suite #8 Aparthotel Don Francisco

FievelRating, 5 stars3 months ago
I have stayed at the Aparthotel Don Francisco several times in different units and have had a positive experience every time. The units vary a bit but have always been very clean and comfortable and the pictures reflect the apartment accurately. I appreciate the convenience of 24 hour check in and the parking area is very secure, which is helpful as we often stay when we are visiting San José to make purchases. It is a good value for the cost and a good fit for a short stay or a longer term stay.

Very beautiful location on Lake Arenal, lots of birds in the garden, amazing view, and excellent restaurant on the property. We were able the rent a kayak to explore the lake which was a lot of fun and very convenient. Stayed one night on the way from La Fortuna to Monteverde.

Couldn’t recommend more. Fernandos El Chante Surf House provided a delightful living space and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The team at El Chante were always readily available to help, and to answer any questions we had. We throughly enjoyed our stay, and the surfing lessons that Fernando provided. Thanks again :)

A clean and comfortable place to stay. Great location to visit Montezuma, Cabuya, Malpaís and Santa Teresa (max 30min drive). Hosts were really nice and forthcoming. Needless to say a 4x4 vehicle is needed to make the most out of this region!

NALA Luxury Living | Huge one-bedroom Luxury Suite

DevonRating, 5 stars3 months ago
My new favorite place to stay in Santa Teresa. Wow. The design of the rooms and the garden are beautiful. You don't realize how big the rooms feel until you're there in person. Super high ceilings, huge shower, very comfortable bed. The kitchen was larger and more functional than I expected and I liked cooking meals there. Pool is beautiful and a serene oasis only steps away from the main road and the beach. The daily maid service made this stay feel like the perfect combo of an Airbnb and a lux hotel. The yoga deck was a great place to stretch and get ready for my morning surf sessions as well. Parking lot is small and the driveway is a bit tricky to navigate so I kept my rental car on the street nearby a few of the nights just because it was easier than dealing with the driveway every time I left but that wasn't a hassle. I've stayed in Santa Teresa many times over the last 7 years and this is my favorite stay. Highly recommend.

Harry's, The Hideout ~ Orange Casita

JoshuaRating, 5 stars15 months ago
Harry's place was a great find. I decided to stay in Tamarindo a few extra days and found his place quite easily. Harry was a very sociable host but gave you your privacy. He lives at the end of a street with a turn around circle and surrounded by greenery and vegetation. You have peace and quiet in a bit of still preserved nature. The place is a small cluster of rustic local style cabinas/bungalows and Harry practices a self sustained and environmentally conscious way. There is a common BBQ area on an upper deck, a 7 foot deep plunge pool that was actually cold and refreshing and a mix of sun and shade. It is a very short walk to the beach and main strip of stores, restaurants and bars. It was priced very well and I will certainly stay again. Internet, streaming, A/C, fans and a full kitchen made it a comfortable stay.

Villa Isla at Cabuya Villas

Clean, cheerful, and secure cabina with pretty pool and lounge area. Alain gave us our key and answered our questions, very cheerful and sweet guy! Great healthy breakfast included and brought right to our room. Construction noise from neighboring properties was an issue, but there's lots of nature to see here including Scarlet Macaws and Iguanas.

AsiaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Incredibly place to stay, and even more notably, an incredible host. We had some minor cleanliness issues when initially checking in but it was quickly taken care of thanks to the host’s response and proactive approach. We absolutely adored our stay here. It’s in a very walkable location and I have no complaints! I’d recommend to everyone. Thank you Eden!

Nala -Santa Teresa- One Bedroom suite

AdeebaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our stay was 11/10 Jessi was extremely communicative. Every question I had was answered promptly and thoroughly, which made the entire experience seamless and stress-free. The space was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared with everything we needed. It’s clear the host goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. we had everything we needed throughout our stay. I can’t recommend this place enough and would absolutely stay here again. It is best to get an ATV to get around the area, as there are no sidewalks and the roads get muddy as it rains, if you wanna get to the other nearby beaches/restaurants. We got dropped off at the main road then walked 2-3 mins uphill to get to the property - keep in mind if you have heavy luggage or mobility concerns.
