Vacation rentals with a kayak in Gulf Islands

The home is quite nice and well equipped for a large group. We really had no complaints at all. Our team loved. The beach. I enjoyed the large kitchen, and the beds were comfortable. Thanks so much!!

We had a wonderful stay at the forager house! Exactly as pictured in the listing - no frills, but very comfy and met our needs for our trip. We loved going down to the water at low tide to look for creatures and watching for otters in the mornings. We used it as our access point to Olympic National Park and it was perfect!

Nice house, accurately described, great location! One thing the description doesn't mention is that there are DINOSAURS (made out of driftwood) along the beach, which was a super cool surprise. One thing to note is that the house is close to the refinery, so there are lights at night and some smells, although low tide accounts for some of that and can't be avoided.

We loved this amazing view home in Nanaimo. It is comfortable and extremely clean. Brian is a wonderful host, very welcoming and helpful. He has gone the extra mile to make your stay memorable by having so many extras available for your enjoyment like kayaks, crab traps and even extra shoes! The home has an incredible view and water access that offers a beautiful place to relax each day. We saw orcas, humpbacks, and otters from the deck! My 4 yr old grandson loved watching the ferries and float planes. Nanaimo was so fun. We are planning on coming back and definitely want to stay at this home again.

This house measured up to all our expectations! Perfect for two couples who want some separation with a king size bed in one of the downstairs bedrooms. The view was soul soothing. Eagles, deer…even a couple of otters. And then there is Mt Baker in the distance. Can’t be beat. Clean, comfortable. Highly recommend!

We had a family gathering for 10 people. The house was warm and friendly and easily accommodated all of us. There were 3 children, 11 to 15. They played badmitten and ran around the 7 acre tract and spent hours at the private beach. San Juan island is one of the most beautiful places on the west coast and this place truly enhanced our visit, I can't say enough good things and highly recommend staying there.

What a perfect place to stay for visiting Olympic National Park and the surroundings! We had easy drives to Hurricane Ridge, the tidepools at Salt Creek, and Sol Duc Falls, and could come back and enjoy the hot tub and fire pit in the evenings. The setup was perfect for two families of four traveling together.

Amazing location and wonderful host! Highly recommend and they made our weekend very special.

Beautiful location on the lake! We lucked out with amazing weather so we could enjoy the fire pit in the evening & coffee on the dock in the morning. The house had everything we needed!

Truly a five star worthy place. Cozy and stylish at the same time, lots of beautiful details and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The cottage is right at the beach with view of the sunset and the hosts go above and beyond to welcome you and make you feel at home.

We had a great stay. Mimi was very helpful and responsive. The house had a lot to offer for a family—fenced yard, chickens, fish, and even an outdoor shower. The beach was easy to access and it was a beautiful spot. Our kids especially loved feeding the deer!

Great place to stay!

We had a wonderful stay in Harrison's house. It is equipped and prepared to an extremely high standard. I have rarely experienced a kitchen with so many kitchen utensils. Plus the beautiful surroundings right on the beach. Harrison really is a super host! It was a pleasure to talk to him. He brought us fresh eggs in the morning. We have extended our stay and I definitely want to come back. Thank you for everything!!!

Can’t say enough great things about this home. My family really enjoyed our spring break stay on the lake. There were no details missed to having a comfortable stay. The hot tub and sauna were great after a family paddle with the kayaks. There are abundant linens for water activities. We really enjoyed the wood stove inside on the cooler nights. Absolutely magical place! We loved the location and the views of the pristine lake. We used the sauna everyday followed by a cold plunge in the lake. It's cold but definitely refreshing and perfect combination with the lakefront sauna. The 4 kayaks were easy to use and launch right in front of the house. The house is spacious, comfortable, and well stocked. The house has good wi-fi but we spent our time cooking on the grill, enjoying the lake, and playing games. Highly recommend this house and the wonderful host Holly. Thank you!

This place is absolutely fantastic! Fyi, there are a number of stairs to reach the unit and spaces, but its totally worth it. And owner made this clear… We’ll be back. Its an all year experience,.. we’re hoping to come back in Summer next time!
