We thoughtfully remodeled the space to create a serene and elevated atmosphere. The cabin is a 5 min walk to the St. Mary's Glacier trailhead and a 25 min drive to downtown Idaho Springs. This cozy cabin is close to family-friendly activities. You’ll love your stay because of the the views, high ceilings, privacy and the location. The cabin is great for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids) There are TVs with cable in the bedrooms and living room, a hot tub to soak in and enjoy how close the stars shine. PLEASE NOTE: This Vacation home's elevation is 10800 feet. The weather is unpredictable- From September to May 4 wheel drive is required!

That Dam Cabin!

This historic 309-square foot cabin was built in 1932 for men working on the Shadow Mountain dam. When we found it, we knew this would be the perfect getaway. Our cabin is 4 miles from downtown Grand Lake! It's a short drive to restaurants, shops, hiking, fishing, the beach and kayak/boat rentals. Head to Rocky Mountain National park to hike and see wildlife or stay home and enjoy s'mores around the fire. On a clear night the stars are absolutely breathtaking!

Log home on Shadow Mountain Lake (no pets)

The house is a custom built log house located right on the shore of Shadow Mountain Lake looking at the lake and the mountains with 76' of shore. It sleeps up to 9 people in 4 bedrooms. There is only parking for 4 vehicles in the summer and 2-3 in the winter. No RV's or campers ever and No trailers in winter. There is cable TV and wireless Internet. The all season porch has 360 views of the lake. No pets on the property at all, my wife is allergic.
