It has been revamped with a modern twist inspired by wildflowers. The cabin is just south of Grand Lake. It is extremely easy to access year-round via car, has great views of Rocky Mountain National Park, and boasts all of the modern amenities to make you feel comfortable during your stay. The City of Winter Park has trains going through the town, which adds to the charm. We love pets/dogs! 2 or more dogs require extra $10 per dog one-time cleaning fee.

In the Spring through Autumn we offer a canoe, 2-kayaks and paddle board from our private dock where you may fish and play on the water all day or relax by the campfire while you roast marshmallows and enjoy family laughter. Entire brand new, modern & bright cabin. We lost the cabin in 2020 in one of the largest wildfires in Colorado history, and just finished rebuilding. What we lost from the seclusion of trees, we gained in 360 degree views of Kawuneeche Valley & Rocky Mountain National Park. Nature has rebounded quickly & you will see abundant wildlife grazing the meadow, with moose and elk visiting daily. You can snowmobile/ATV from cabin to trails in less than 10 min. 4WD/AWD HIGHLY RECOMMENDED in Winter.

That Dam Cabin!

This historic 309-square foot cabin was built in 1932 for men working on the Shadow Mountain dam. When we found it, we knew this would be the perfect getaway. Our cabin is 4 miles from downtown Grand Lake! It's a short drive to restaurants, shops, hiking, fishing, the beach and kayak/boat rentals. Head to Rocky Mountain National park to hike and see wildlife or stay home and enjoy s'mores around the fire. On a clear night the stars are absolutely breathtaking!
