Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Grainau

The place was just great! Everything you needed was there and the hosts were super friendly and helpful. The children were allowed to feed the rabbits in the garden, you had your private area in the garden and the mountain panorama was awesome. A really great, family-friendly place to stay. There were even high chairs, changing table, baby bed and games for children and adults. The area invites you to many activities - it is not far to Imst, the Ötztal or the Pitztal. So a great starting point. Daniela and her husband were always available to answer any questions. Clear recommendation for a family vacation in the mountains!

The apartment was perfectly appointed. Wonderful views, extremely comfortable and all the home comforts needed. A short and very pretty walk into town, where there are several nice restaurants and places for coffee and drinks . The view from the balcony is stunning. Britta was a super a helpful host, assisting us with restaurants and local information. Highly recommended and would definitely return.

We had a wonderful time with Maria in Geißach! The lovingly developed Alpine-style hut is a real gem – very well maintained, cozy and idyllically located at the end of a hermitage. We particularly liked the quiet location on the mountain, surrounded by orchards, where you can relax in the shade and watch the calves. The amenities were excellent, especially for our little son: baby travel cot, high chair and even a stair gate – everything was available and in top condition. Despite the quiet location, you can reach Aldi or DM in a few minutes by car, and the surroundings also offer many beautiful excursion options. Maria was a very warm host, who makes you feel welcome immediately. We will be happy to come back!

Very spacious and super modern house - cozy and luxurious with the added flair of having a sauna. Would def. recommend this place to any bigger group travelling & would come again!

With one laughing and one wistful eye, we look back on our stay with Georg and Gisela. Nostalgic, because time passed too quickly and we could have stayed forever... A week was just too short! Laughing, because it was so beautiful and we are already looking forward to our next visit to Waltersberg. We can only agree with all previous great reviews. Georg and Gisela are wonderful hosts, as they could not be better: attentive, warm, helpful and in short people to like. The house was charming, cozy, sparkling clean and well equipped as expected, the beautiful garden very idyllic, full of flowers and well maintained, the charming surroundings and the short distances to the most beautiful mountain and lake landscapes are worth a trip anyway. We had fantastic hiking weather – and the accommodation was the ideal starting point: In just 15 minutes you are in Imst to explore a scenic and alpine high-altitude trail with the gondola. In 45 minutes you can reach the highest waterfall in Tyrol (Stuibenfall in the Ötztal), and if you are looking to cool off, you can drive to the Plansee in a good 50 minutes and swim or walk through the gorge (Stuibenfälle meeting point for canyoning). The kitchen is a real highlight for self-catering – rarely so well equipped on Airbnb! Especially great: the guest card that Peter proactively organized for us (thank you!), with which you can ride the gondola in Imst for free every day. For families, there is a small sandbox, a large terrace with a fireplace and spectacular views. Note: The terrace is shared with the neighbors. We were very lucky with them – nevertheless, a privacy screen would be pleasant if you are sunbathing while cooking next door 😉

One of the best AirBnb’s we’ve booked in an absolutely beautiful location. Would highly recommend, plan on booking with them again.

Everything was tip top! A perfect apartment for two people and the balcony with a view is a dream Just a short walk 😍 to the center and yet absolutely idyllic. Thanks for the little amenities like coffee beans, spices and toilet paper. With a 3-day stay, the basics are more relaxed. I'm sure 😊 we'll be back.

We had a short but great stay. We were warmly received - despite the delay due to the traffic situation. There was a small treat on arrival and we got some tips about the area. The room was super nicely decorated. A direct feel-good atmosphere and the view of the mountains - just great!

It is a nice place in a good location and you can go anywhere. Franziska is very nice, the location is super neat and cared for. We will definitely come back. A tip would be to add a streaming service to the TV package like Netflix because you only have a few German channels now

The apartment was wonderful for my wife, 4yr old and infant to stay for a few days in Garmisch. There was plenty of space to feel right at home and relax after a day exploring. Our hosts left us some breakfast items which was a very thoughtful and appreciated surprise. Magda was very communicative and friendly, we appreciated her responsiveness. The mountain view from the balcony was fantastic, and we ended up on the daybed to watch the sunset each evening. Garmisch itself is a very nice little town, and we enjoyed the downtown area though we must have been at an off season time or maybe things are closed more often on Sunday-Monday because it wasn’t as lively as we expected. Tuesday was better though, and we did have some great food in town. The gorge hike is close by and worth it, and the train/bus stations are right next to the market - all a very easy walk away. We would definitely like to stay here again for a return trip.

VERY clean, modern, nice apartment in walking distance to everything. Location is on the busy main road but the windows/doors are incredibly thick so you couldn’t hear traffic at all- very quiet. Wonderful appliances including washer/dryer. Proactive communication from host with helpful info on the area for visitors- thank you for a nice stay!

We had a great time in Grainau! From the terrace, you have beautiful views of the mountains. The place was clean and had everything you needed. The location of the apartment is particularly good. The town center, as well as shopping and restaurants, are within walking distance. Many hikes can be started from the front door.

The accommodation totally met our expectations. The cleanliness and amenities were as described in the listing. Very nicely furnished and charming. The hiking area Garmisch-Classic as well as the Kreuzeck and Alpspitz cable cars were within walking distance.

It is a perfect apartment for a small family with great views from the balcony. Christina welcomed us and was very kind to help us with some good recommendation on restaurant and places around.

We stayed there 12 days on summer vacation in the pre-season. The apartment is perfectly equipped, lovingly furnished and from the private terrace you have a beautiful view of the mountains. By bike or car, an ideal location for activities in all 4 directions. Simone was very friendly, unobtrusive and gave us some tips. We would come back anytime and can recommend the apartment.

Super great apartment in the heart of GaPa. Everything is quick to reach, clean, very cozy, there was nothing missing. Baker, butcher and restaurants all nearby. Four days when we didn't need the car

We loved Carolin's space - specially the nice balcony area with nice views of the mountains. It was extremely clean, made us feel welcome and cozy and had a lot of space to enjoy a comforting day after being on the mountains. Carolin was always very attentive and flexible - it was simply smooth and great. I wish I could have stayed there longer :) will come back

The apartment is well located for both hiking in the surrounding area and access into Innsbruck. The apartment itself was spacious and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. The private outdoor terrace had tremendous views and was south facing yet still secluded. Small, well appointed supermarket 10 minutes walk away. Overall I would highly recommend.

The stay was indescribably beautiful. At breakfast overlooking the mountains and the golf course, we felt completely comfortable – almost like at home! Thanks to the pleasant communication, it was even possible for us to check out a little later, which was very convenient for me after participating in the ZUT. A very clear recommendation for anyone who wants to treat themselves to a visit to this oasis of well-being! In the end, I said to my girlfriend: “Shall we ask if we can extend for one night?” I think that says it all. ✌🏻🫶
