Boat vacation rentals in Government of Amsterdam

We loved our stay here. It was central to everything we wanted to see and do, incredibly walkable, lively and comfortable. The space was exactly as it appeared in the photos, and it was a very unique way to experience Amsterdam and everything it has to offer! If we are back in the city we will certainly be booking again!

We had an amazing stay on the boat! Our group of eight friends found everything clean and well-maintained. The two showers were a big plus, and we loved the common area for hanging out. The Bluetooth speaker was a great touch too!

We stayed several places in the Netherlands and our time with Sandra was everyone’s favorite. The boat is small (like all boats) but our group of 16 was comfortable and had everything we needed to cook our meals and hang out in the dining area. You are the crew—Sandra is a great teacher and host. Great communication and suggestions for a sailing schedule. We loved Enkhuizen the most!

We had a lovely stay. The houseboat is beautiful and in a really central location - two minute's walk from Rembrandt's house. It was very clean and comfortable and Richard and Birgit communicated with us in a very friendly and prompt manner. We enjoyed sitting on the deck, sipping a cold drink and watching the boats go by. The historic Sluyswacht bar/cafe is just across the bridge and also a good place to hang out and all the other main tourist attractions such as the Van Gogh museum and the Rijks museum are in easy walking distance.

the accommodation is as advertised. It's an old barge... with the pros, exotic, unusual, and the cons, be careful with the water... but everything is said in the description so there are no bad surprises. Harold is very welcoming. We arrived by train, he picked us up at the first tram stop, which was a real plus. Access to the center of Amsterdam is 20 minutes either by tram 26 or bus 37, 10 minutes' walk from the boat. bike access to friendly fishing villages in 30-45 minutes (very nice ride). In short, very happy with this family vacation.

It was amazing!!! What an experience and even if the weather wasn't there, we loved this moment of joy and relaxation as a family. I would highly recommend this unique experience.

Very nice peaceful location

Can highly recommend staying here. So nice to return to after a busy day sightseeing in Amsterdam. Near bus stop, 10 mins walk away, takes you straight to Amsterdam Central station. Get off at bus stop before station if you do not need metro, we walked everywhere. We used credit card each for bus, swipe on and then swipe as you get off, about 7 euro return. The Johanna is just a joy to be on, comfortable and clean with stunning views. Everything that you need and more is supplied. Sandra and her partner are a joy to deal with, checking in with us to ensure all was ok.

Marcel was a great host and was easy to communicate with. The Airbnb was fantastic and provided us with everything we needed.

Nice host, nice space. Bedrooms are of course small. Beds are good. No dishwasher. We didn't mind but good to know. Beautiful berth.

Atypical place and perfect for large groups. Responsive host on site if needed. Convenient location, not far from Amsterdam. I would highly recommend it!

Leon was super friendly right from the get-go. We were able to check-in earlier than usual, which was very much appreciated. Leon provided several recommendations for supermarkets, and was very helpful with everything else. We had a lovely time, and would recommend this stay to anyone looking for a calm recluse.

Gerben’s home was a last minute booking for us and we were beyond pleased with the experience. They were gracious to meet us at check in and provide a tour of everything we needed to know. The rest of the day was spent enjoying the great canal views and walking the nearby neighborhood. The attention to detail made the overnight comfortable and we would happily be repeat visitors.

This was a fun place to stay. There are 2 transit stops within a 5 minute walk. It was a few minutes walk from the metro station and super easy to find. Koko was responsive and made sure to communicate before check in so it was a breeze.

We spent a few days in this accommodation and had a great time. The property was clean, cozy and equipped with everything you need. The location is convenient, quiet but close to the main points of interest. Very kind host, helpful and always ready to give us useful advice. An experience we absolutely recommend, we would gladly come back!

Awesome place and views, would totally go back!

We loved Michiel’s houseboat. He was great to deal with and left us some breakfast things and beer in the fridge which was much appreciated! Wonderful to sit out and watch the world go by on the Amstel…

First of all, the accommodation is romantic, like a cocoon by the water in a very quiet neighborhood. The neighborhood is slightly out of the way, but easily accessible by tram, bus or bike, and finally we enjoyed discovering this neighborhood of Amsterdam which is a change from the bustle of the city center. Finally, Roy and Xander are good tips about activities in the surroundings, and were especially very understanding despite our late arrival and were kind enough to keep our luggage on the last day of our stay. A very nice place that I highly recommend, I would go back there without hesitation.

Had a great stay! The ship has all the comforts. Despite the fact that the beds look cramped, everyone slept wonderfully and it was very cozy. Next time we hope to have better weather, then we can enjoy the deck more. Thank you Xandra and Marco!

Remco is an ideal host and is extremely easily accessible! The place to stay is in tip top shape and literally everything was present! We are extremely happy that we were allowed to stay here and would like to come back in a heartbeat! Thank you, Remco!!
