Wendy and Bob were wonderful to work with! I had a ton of questions about the house and the area they were so chatty and willing to answer all of my questions. I appreciated them more than they know. All their information really helped us plan for our weekend and made it special for sure. This was my first experience with an A B&B and probably because of Wendy and Bob being such great hosts, I already can not wait to do it again! And we may be making The Lustron an annual trip. It’s got a great vibe to it! Things of note… The kitchen was fully stocked, much to our surprise. There is no grill, but you may bring your own. There is plenty of room for it. The screened in porch may keep critters out but not necessarily bugs 😉. We didn’t get a chance to enjoy the porch other than traveling to and from the grill as there was no furniture set out yet but it seemed like a lovely place to have morning coffee and be one with nature. All in all a great little place! Highly recommend

Cute getaway. On a main road. But perfectly quiet. Furnishings were very nice. More than we expected.

Great location on the lake with excellent water views and bird watching. The cabin is charming and well-appointed. We enjoyed the kitchen and the bar-style seating that looks out on the water. The location was very convenient relative to nature preserves, wildlife refuges, and the state museum at Dickson Mounds.
