Castle vacation rentals in Gironde estuary

Lieu 100% à la hauteur de nos attentes !! Les grandes pièces nous ont permis de facilement nous réunir à 21 personnes pendant 2 jours dans cette atmosphère très chaleureuse! Les grandes chambres et leurs salles de bains étaient parfaitement propres , nous avons tous été ravis. Merci beaucoup virginie pour votre accueil et votre communication.

Thank you so much Maria and Damien for a wonderful weekend - everything was just perfect. The chateau was beautiful, in lively surroundings and extremely well equipped with lots of lovely touches throughout. The wine tasting was phenomenal and it was great to be able to purchase the wine straight from the comfort of the kitchen. Maria and Damien were amazing hosts, very responsive, giving great tips and offering so much flexibility to make our trip as great as could be. The dogs were so lovely too! We enjoyed being able to walk the quieter country roads nearby, including to Haux village to the nice Auberge. We really hope to come back soon.

My friends and I had the best stay. Absolutely beautiful location and gorgeous chateau. Everything was exactly how it was described, if not better. Nicolas and Caroline were incredibly responsive and gave the best recommendations. A particular stand out was the wine tour that was lead by Maud. Highly recommend staying here at this incredible Airbnb, such a wonderful experience.

Das Haus ist wirklich sehr schön gelegen, gerade wenn man Touren zu den nahegelegenen Weingütern machen möchte. Die Unterkunft ist sehr stilvoll und sehr großzügig, jat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wenn wir wieder in der Region sind, kommen wir gerne wieder!

Wow! What an amazing place to stay! Alice’s Chateau was the perfect place to stay with family. The house and the surrounding gardens are beautifully presented with fully stocked amenities. I highly recommend Chateau du Grava!

Un grand merci à Cyntia et Guillaume pour ce merveilleux WE au cœur de leur magnifique demeure. Nous avons passé un WE inoubliable en famille. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter. La demeure est parfaitement dimensionnée pour le nombre de couchage. Les petits + : La cuisine ne manque de rien en vaisselle, ustensiles, condiments, ... L'ensemble du matériel bébé est très appréciable :Lit parapluie, table à langer, baignoire et chaise haute. Tout est là pour passer un excellent moment en famille ou entres amis. Un Grand Merci !

Location location location ... Pessac Sur Dordogne is a lovely quiet village. No boulanger but a very good village shop where you can get your croissants and baguettes, but prebook the croissants day by day. We really enjoyed the river beach, wild swimming but the toddlers toddled in and out of the shallows. There's a more organised beach in Castillon. Castillon lovely. Kayak rental in the village was fine - the river flows quite fast. The chateau is full on, rambling, 7 huge bedrooms, 2 central bathrooms upstairs plus one en suite. Good receptions. Kitchen well equipped. The whole place evidently just vacated by the family, so don't expect immaculate 5-star luxury (sofa needs re-springing) but it was comfortable and large. Endless ping pong and footie in the courtyard, cycle rides. A restaurant in the village, which we didn't try but many round about. We drank Bergerace wines from the Maison des Vins in Bergerac which I would recommend.

Anais is always responsive to my questions and requests. She and Bastane are very friendly with their kids and pets. We feel like staying at home during our short stay at their castle. Anais satisfies our requests without hesitation, and the castle is very spacious. They are renovating the castle, and I believe the rent will even be better after the renovation is complete.

Our stay was magical! It was amazing waking up to the vista of the beautiful French countryside in the heart of the Bordeaux wine region. Delphine and family were extremely welcoming and made everything super easy, the property is so beautiful and the castle has so much history. We even bought some wine made from their vineyard! An amazing French breakfast was served as well. The hospitality was amazing, we just wish we could’ve stayed longer. Would recommend to anyone for a romantic getaway.
