Monthly Rentals in Galnewa

Stayed between 15-18th of April 2025. This is the second time I visited this property. Absolutely a gem of place to relax and unwind. The location is full of nature only the sound of the birds can be heard. The views are stunning with a beautiful lake in front and a large paddy field. An unspoilt village to show children how the rural village life goes about. There are plenty of bicycle for the guests to use FoC and Can take a bicycle ride across the village and on the bundt of the lakes in and around and enjoy the picturesque views of the lakes and the Galkiriyagama rock that spans for 7kms. During the night only the sound of nature you can hear. In the evening a dip in the lake with the villages is not to be missed. The property is very clearly kept. The food is absolutely tasty and made in a kitchen cleanly kept. Ideal place to enjoy traditional Sri Lankan Rice and Curry and other Sri Lankan food. A place definitely you want to revisit over and over again. Great value for money.

The nicest stay! The cabin is very local and Sumedha and his family are so sweet and welcoming. Every time we needed anything, there was a response to message right away! There was also really good breakfast and he helped drive us to pidurangala rock for sunrise :)

Went here to record a podcast about birdwatching. The episode is now 16 hours long. Also, there was a chameleon. It shape shifted in front of our eyes, and whilst beholding that magic, we turned our day to day stress into the wonder of our surroundings and the serenity this place beholds. Personnel was amazing. The best we’ve ever experienced. We felt sad to leave. The owners, a very nice couple, were so helpful, no high end star hotel can match that.

Beautiful tranquil and peaceful stay. We loved sitting outside and listening to the birds and other animals! Thanks for having us x
