Gålå Handel which has "everything", and Gålå Hotel is in the immediate vicinity and Røsslyngstua Café is open and with delicious food on the menu. In summer there are also countless hiking opportunities, Høyt og Lavt climbing park, frisbee golf and open mountain pastures at Solbråsetra where the local woman Anne Hov invented Gudbrandsdal cheese in 1863. There is more culture: Peer Gynt Festival in July/August, Rondaståk in June and a short distance to the Country Festival in Vinstra

Our cabin «Peer Gynt suite» is located on the edge of the forest in Gudshaugen cabin area and is a great starting point for activities all year round. This is our family's little idyll. Perfect for 1-4 people. Possibly a nice tent pitch in addition. The cabin is only 30m2, but still spacious. Hallway with underfloor heating and wardrobe space. Separate rooms for kitchen and bathroom with heated floors. The living room has a dining area and sofa area with good ceiling height. The loft in the living room has two beds with good mattresses, and the sofa bed is of good quality.

Cross-country ski trail goes right past the cabin, and the area offers great hiking opportunities all year round. The cabin has fiber internet, a separate TV room, fireplace and heat pump that provides a comfortable temperature in summer and winter. Walking distance to the convenience store. Perfect for both relaxation and outdoor activities such as cycling, fishing and mountain trips in summer, as well as cross-country skiing and skiing in winter.

Viken Fjellgård is located by the lake Espedalsvatnet, an hour's drive from Lillehammer. And if you want to enjoy yourself indoors with a fire in the oven, something hot to drink, a good book or a game, or if you want to go skiing, go for a walk on snowshoes, a snowshoe hike, ice fishing, burn a fire, make a snow cave and snow lantern, or just look at the stars, then this can be the place. There are miles of prepared ski slopes. The trails start right outside the farm, or you can drive a short distance to start the trip on the high mountain.

The place is especially known for a long ski season with good ski slopes, the Peer-gynt game, and many opportunities for biking in the summer.

New cabin built in 2023, with immediate proximity to Gålå Ski Resort, with alpine slopes and cross-country trails. 5-10 min walk to Høyt og Lavt Gålå (climbing park), alpine facilities, cross-country trails right outside the door and 5 min walk to Peer-Gynt play. This cabin is perfect for friends, families with children, and has 2 bathrooms, 5 bedrooms as well as a living room and kitchen. There are 3 double beds, 1 bunk bed and 1 single bed. Outside you have a lovely view from the terrace with a cozy fire pit and seating.
