Kako san was a very nice host! The home was lovely and had everything we needed. Our family of four was very thankful for a place that could easily sleep all of us. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful with a few delightful pastry shops within walking distance. I’m glad we stayed here!

We had a great stay at this Osaka Airbnb! The home was clean, cozy, and gave us an authentic experience of staying in a traditional Japanese house with tatami rooms. It’s conveniently located near Shin-Osaka Station, which made it easy to travel around. It was a bit far from the Dotonbori/Samba area, so we ended up taking most trips there, but overall a wonderful place to stay!

The home is very special and unique. We are a family of two adults, a 16yo and 8yo. We all loved the home traditional aspects of the home with modern appliances. Even though the home is nestled into a neighborhood, it is a short walk to the gorgeous river, a huge grocery store and a little further are bus stops and train stations. The bikes were such a gift and we enjoyed using them. Although we didn't use them, it was thoughtful to have rain jackets and umbrellas available. Hiroe met us promptly even after a time change with little notice. She was efficient and thorough in her directions. We felt grateful to stay in such a lovely and comfortable home.

I recently stayed at Saito’s place and had a wonderful experience! The check-in process was smooth and easy, and communication with the host was prompt and helpful throughout my stay. The place was thoughtfully furnished, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable visit. The location was perfect — close to one of the attraction, restaurants, and subway station, yet peaceful enough for a good night’s sleep. Overall, this stay exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting the area. Thank you again, Saito, for being such a great host. Our family of 7 had a truly wonderful stay at Kimi’s place in Kyoto. The house was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a memorable trip. Kimi and his wife were incredibly kind and thoughtful. They even surprised us with gifts, which made our stay even more special. When we accidentally left an item behind, Kimi graciously arranged to have it delivered to us, showing such care and hospitality. Throughout our stay, communication was easy, warm, and helpful. We could really feel the heart they put into hosting, and we are so grateful for the experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kyoto. Thank you again, Kimi and Marilyn!

This spot feels like home away from home. Easy access to public transportation, lots of shopping & restaurant options, plenty to see & do right in the area. The home is tucked away on a side street in a residential area that’s quiet & safe. Only thing to note is the three bedrooms upstairs are connected with one way in / out but each room has a door that closes for some privacy. And both toilets are downstairs.

Beautiful place, Omoide is helpulf, nice, respecful. He gave us important information about Kioto, places to eat and what to do.

Our group of 8 stayed at this Air BnB during our three night stay in Kyoto. This place has two floors and the top and bottom floor are copies of each other. I really liked that each floor had their own washer/dryer, fridges and bathrooms. The area has a lot of good restaurants and it is fairly close to Nishkiki market along with other attractions. The Air BnB comes with a booklet of recommendations for restaurants and clear instructions on the home;

Conversation was easy) Apartment clean and nice) All notable places of Kyoto easy reachable (metro walking 5 minutes) - Nishiki market must visit!) arigato gozaimasu!

Our stay at Asami's was outstanding! The accommodation and the quiet neighborhood and close to nature allowed us to capture the real kyoteric life. Asami and Daniel helped us a lot with tips. They even gave their time to show us around the neighborhood and accompany us to the station with our suitcases. The two bikes available to us are a plus. But anyway, all the transportation, supermarkets and restaurants are nearby. I really recommend this place to anyone who would like a peaceful stay in kyoto.

We had a great time at Taiyo’s apartment. The location is exceptional for the price. We were able to visit many tourist attractions by foot. Taiyo and his mother are lovely hosts. Thank you for being so flexible on our date change and arrival time, we greatly appreciated it.

It is such an accessible place from the center of Kyoto! The host is kind and the room is so clean.

Easy check in and clear instructions. Located close to a station, delicious food nearby. The bed was huge and the place was clean!

Cons- 1. You have to climb 1 or 2 floors of stairs, depending on which floor you are allocated. It is majorly a one time effort of picking your luggage. But given the overall struggles with luggage, this much is manageable. Pros- 1. Location -> 1. a: Located right next to metro station. ~15 min to kyoto station (10 min metro time + extra 5 min buffer for waiting/ switching trains). 1. b: Located walkable distance from major bus stops. Major bus stops to Kinkakuji are ~800m. For other spots its better to take metro. 1.c: Multiple convenience stores nearby. 1.d: Calm neighbourhood. Not noisy 2. Room-> 2.a: Very nice comfortable place, felt like home. Had everything you would want. Only the dryer was a paid add-on located at the Ground floor (that too was cheap: 100yen for 15mins) 2.b: Great Service: We made a request for a mop to the host and we had it within an hour. The stay was one of the best part of kyoto. Would highly recommend.

This was one of our favourite Airbnb stays. To find a 46 sq m apartment in Kyoto during sakura season is amazing! Everything was so spacious and comfortable - exactly as described and identical to the photos on the website. Easily walkable to the metro and buses for sightseeing plus it is surrounded by supermarkets, restaurants and bars for eating. It was very quiet during the night so perfect for sleeping. May is a brilliant communicator, every aspect of our stay from check in to check out was clearly shared with us. Highly recommended as an option for Kyoto.

Excellent location! Senkawa station is a few minutes walk and it is around 25 minutes walk to Ikebukuro. There are convenience stores very near to the place.. I’ll definitely be staying here again when I next visit Japan! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Fantastic location with plenty of amenities. The host was responsive to our contact and extremely helpful with local recommendations. The apartment was clean and tidy, and the elevator was a bonus as this doesn't seem common in Japan. They allowed us to leave our lugguge after check out while we explored Kyoto before departing the city. Overall this was a A+ experience and I would happily return.

Excellent location and very easy to get to places. Like many places in Japan, spaces are smaller, however we really loved the deep wardrobe/ cupboard. We were able to hang clothes, stack all our bags on a shelf and roll our suitcases straight in. Host was very helpful and gave us great information on current events. Would recommend.

A bit far from jr station ( 1 km ) but very near with bus station place very clean and comfy

A great place to stay in Kyoto on a nice quiet street but close to lots of nice restaurants and a short walk to the main shopping areas. The hosts were helpful and responsive, we would definitely stay here again!

Great location and airbnb was clean and appeared as advertised. Plenty of space for 5 people. Hosts were extremely responsive and flexible.

This is such a perfect and cool place in Kyoto for a family of four. Great location for sightseeing and shopping. The windows have amazing views of the city and make for great people watching. The beds and futons are comfy. The 2 bathrooms are so convenient. The dryer dries well which is rare in Japan. The host responds quickly. We also enjoyed the Starbucks right downstairs and the hip rooftop bar above. Things to consider: It’s one big open space so you won’t get much privacy. And there’s only one large sink by the kitchen for both bathroom and kitchen use, which may be a bit awkward. But those were no problems for us. We LOVED our stay and would definitely stay again if we return to Kyoto.

We enjoyed this night in Kyoto so much . It’s a traditional Japanese house with all the elements we need. There’s a nice restaurant and also a famous cafe called ichikawaya nearby.
