Beach house vacation rentals in Frenchman Bay

An absolutely beautiful place, can’t recommend enough - we were so sad to leave. Brady was an awesome host, even going so far as making sure we had a pan to make a homemade birthday pie. There was tons to do— from hanging out on the dock, swimming, canoeing, and kayaking on the lake, stargazing, playing tennis, and doing puzzles and games in the cozy living room, we had a blast. Not to mention it was only an hour from Acadia for some great hiking. The personal touches in the cabin were also so sweet— it’s clear there’s lots of special family memories in this place. I hope we can come back someday!

Simply magical! Cozy and fun space. We enjoyed watching eagles and ospreys fish, seals pop their heads up, and even an adorable family of foxes from the comfort of the living room! Kitchen had all necessities for cooking most meals at home. A nice trail for walking down the road and an awesome beach where the kids threw stones and searched for seaglass each afternoon. We were all sad to leave!

10/10 stay! The location is stunning with beautiful views, and the home was spotless and super comfortable. Our family of five felt right at home with plenty of space to relax. We brought paddle boards and had an amazing time on the water, then enjoyed cozy fires in the evening. Truly the perfect weekend getaway — highly recommend!

Cheryl’s home is on a beautiful bay on the Schoodic Peninsula about 45 minutes from the main entrance to Acadia, and closer yet to the quieter portion of the National Park. Cheryl was very responsive to any questions we had during our stay. There is lots of room to spread out in the house, or plenty of room to gather on the back porch where we could rest after a full day of biking and hiking in Acadia. I would definitely recommend this Airbnb to anyone traveling with a larger group. This home enhanced our first trip to Maine!

We had a wonderful time in blue hill and loved Lucy’s place! Everything, inside and out, was perfect. The house had everything we needed and was close to town/groceries/etc., while still quiet and peaceful with access to the water. Would love to come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Rest Ashoar Cabins! It was absolutely perfect for our family! Our two boys loved playing on the tide pools and in the sand on the beach. The digger toys were a HUGE hit! The fire pit set up for each individual cabin is amazing and we built a fire each night and loved watching the sunset on the ocean. This was by far my favorite family vacation and stay at an Airbnb! Ashley was very responsive and helpful whenever we had a question, and thoughtful enough to call around to different places when we were in search of something specific. You will not regret your stay in one of her cabins!! The scenery, cabin, and everything was PERFECT!

Two adults, three kids. Absolutely loved this place. Storybook setting. Our excited kids studied the pictures on the Airbnb app for months before we arrived and picked their rooms out beforehand so they felt very much at home right away. Unique home layout that would have been fun to design, so many windows/natural light. Cooked all our own meals at ‘home’ except for a delicious lobster dinner at Fin & Fern in town. Appreciated the washer/dryer and the hose outside as our kids got good and dirty having a fun time in the sea in both high and low tides. Got up at 4:00am one morning and drove to Acadia and completed 4 good hiking trails starting with the sun rising over the sea. Went back ‘home’ to relax the rest of the day. Got to take a boat ride around the coast and saw so many birds and seals. A lone seal also came right near the house one morning. So quiet and secluded with clean fresh air and an amazing flower garden. Wonderful place to stay and experience wild Maine.

We had a beautiful stay at Rebekah's for our annual Memorial Day reunion trip. The views are gorgeous, and the house was charming. The beds were super comfortable, and we slept soundly. We drove over to Acadia most days, which is about an hour away, but the drive is lovely, and we appreciated the bit of distance from the bustle of Bar Harbor and the privacy staying on the Schoodic gave us. We also could easily check out the Schoodic part of the park, Sullivan, Corea, and Petit Manon where we took birding tours, lobster boats, and oyster farm visits. We like to do a bit of cooking to keep costs down on our trips, and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Rebekah's guest handbook was great with lots of recommendations. She was responsive and eager to help however we needed. We had a wonderful time!

We had a wonderful stay at John’s place, house was clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed for a month stay. Private and beautiful surroundings, responsive and friendly host, and a great location to explore Maine and the upper east coast. Memories to last a lifetime! Would recommend anyone wanting to enjoy to coast of Maine to stay here and have a great time, so much to see and do. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Cannot imagine a better spot to relax with our family. A lucky spot for the owners and luckier for us that they share the rental with strangers.

We got a very rainy week in Maine but still enjoyed the beautiful, comfortable and well stocked house, views, decks and incredible garden. Beautiful restaurants, bookstores and wine and antique shops near by. Hope to return to very soon.

We had the most amazing week at Adam and Lauren’s place! I truly cannot say enough about how wonderful it was. The house was and cozy inviting- we felt right at home. And it had absolutely everything we could have possibly needed. All of the furniture was incredibly comfortable, and we slept amazingly in the king sized bed. But what made this place shine was the outdoor space. First, it is nice and private, separated from all the neighbors by trees/patches of woods. But beyond the privacy, the hosts have put so much attention into making it outstanding with all the amenities you could want on vacation- an amazing hot tub, a lovely little lounge space, a tent to get out of the sun or rain, a grilling area, AND a pool?! PLUS a separate, fully fenced space for dogs?? AND THEN it’s only 20 min to Bar Harbor?! It’s got it all. Truly. If you are considering booking this place, do not hesitate for one second. It is the PERFECT Acadia getaway. And Adam and Lauren are great, attentive hosts!

We loved the place! The house is cozy and roomy but feels secluded even though you are right at the entrance of the camp grounds. It is conveniently located a short drive to downtown bar harbor and Acadia NP so you aren’t wasting much time driving around. Highly recommended the place to couples/small families looking for a nice place to stay on MDI!

This was our second stay at Ducktrap and the beautiful lodge has truly become a family favorite. The spacious covered deck and outdoor kitchen combined with community pool, tennis court, fire pit and grassy yard provided a perfect backdrop for memorable outdoor activities while the main areas inside provided ample space for all 14 of us to gather together. Having a few more days this year also gave us time to explore the surrounding area--we hiked the local trails to experience incredible vistas, fell in love with the charm of Camden and "discovered" amazing lobster shacks in Rockland and Belfast. During our week together, our family made memories that will last a lifetime. We can't wait to be back!

Beautiful with a great view. The home was decorated perfectly and was so comfortable to be in. The hot tub was in the center of the hotel and a perfect way to end the day. The home felt private and the house had its own fire pit which was nice. Elizabeth was very accommodating and offered great suggestions to fill our day such as hiking and checking out spots in Belfast. The property was clean and well kept. I would absolutely recommend and stay again!

Gerald’s place is very clean, comfortable, and homey! Plenty of towels and blankets for everyone, thoughtful personal touches including having books and toys available for children, and some snacks and breakfast items for guests. He kindly allowed us to use the fire pit and even helped get the fire going. The view of the bay can’t be beat! We enjoyed being in such a private location and opening the windows for fresh air and bird sounds. If you need to work remotely or access WiFi during your stay, it is available but not high speed and there were some issues with consistent connectivity. The kitchenette is small but sufficiently appointed for simple cooking like one-pan meals. If you’re planning to mostly spend your time outside exploring Acadia, this shouldn’t be an issue for you! Gerald’s place is rural but conveniently located between the Schoodic Peninsula and the Mount Desert Island areas of Acadia, with very scenic drives to both areas. We absolutely loved our stay! They had everything we needed in the kitchen to make dinners for 6 people and plenty of space for us to all sit together and eat. We really enjoyed the fire pit and the beautiful views. The beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean and nice. We hope to come back soon!

We absolutely loved our stay, the house is very private and comfy. The master bathroom and kitchen were both really nice. Beds are very comfy as well. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone

Erica was SO accommodating and helpful. She responded extremely quick anytime we messaged and gave us tips and recommendations. Her home is adorable and we really enjoyed being there. It had everything we needed! Only thing to note is that while her place is 20 minutes from Acadia’s entrance it is a big park so anytime we were going to a hike it did take more like 40 minutes to get to it, just worth a mention! Highly recommend her place!

The photos on the website didn’t do it justice! It was a beautiful location and a great place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Acadia and Bar Harbor. This rental is almost good enough to be your actual destination. The house has everything you could possibly imagine and it was just pristine. They also provided all the paper products four adults needed for 9 nights. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Sabrina was a great host and thought of everything we may need. Her place was so close to the water and we used the kayaks a few times and had a lot of fun. Lamoine beach park was a great place to take my dog and it was only 2 blocks away.

This home was nice though on the older side it still had everything we needed. We stayed with dogs and Wendy had dog amenities with food/water bowls with surprise treats for them, which is a nice touch. Great yard for the dogs, too. It was about a 30 minute drive from Acadia National Park which was not too bad because the drive itself had a view. Close restaurants/cafes nearby as well.

Such a lovely spot! The surroundings are beautiful and the house is pristine. Big thanks to Barbara and all of her local recommendations for an incredible first trip to Deer Isle! We can’t wait to come back in the future :).
