Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in French Broad River

We had a great long weekend with our 2 dogs at Lin and Russ’. They were both very friendly and personable. The listing was exactly as described and they had a lot of thoughtful touches and amenities. The backyard was perfect for our dogs. They graciously accommodated our motorcycle and trailer as well. The location is under 10 minutes to downtown TR and very convenient to stores and restaurants. Highly recommend staying here if you have the chance!

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was clean and we had plenty of room. The location was perfect. You are close to everything in Pigeon Forge but it didn’t feel like it. It was quiet and not overly busy at the resort. Our boys enjoyed the pool and lazy river. You can see Dollywood’s fireworks from the balcony. We watched them 2 nights in a row. You could also see some of their drone show as well. If we travel back to the area we would definitely enjoy staying here again.

We were so lucky to find this place about 2 miles from my Son’s house. After a short ride on some windy, hilly roads (not bad at all) we arrived in a lovely neighborhood. As hosts they were friendly and helpful and more than generous. They supplied breakfast foods, water bottles, and other food stuffs that were more than welcome after a long drive. The Airbnb was spotless and welcoming, bed (master, we didn’t use the other bedroom) was extremely comfortable. Of course the hot tub was a huge bonus that was also a welcomed perk. Barbara and Steve were there when we arrived and were More than gracious. From start to finish our visit was perfect. We felt right at home and access to downtown Weaverville and Asheville was a breeze. We will definitely return.

It was beautiful and it looks like there is a lot to do in the area! Susan also provides a lot of fun opportunities if you want to use the equipment. We were just stopping for the night but might stay again some time in the future it was so nice!!

ms.sandy and her husband are the sweetest people ever, we missed check in by 4 hours so she was worried and made sure we were okay, upon arrival and her explaining everything to us she took the time to made sure we ate something and made us a smoothie just in case we didn’t. she has the most beautiful home and it’s exactly like the pictures. when you look over the balcony at night you see the most beautiful firefly’s, and wake up to the most brightest sunrises, you can even see the mountains in the back!! the room was so clean and spacious so we will definitely be back again and hopefully for longer!

We always enjoy staying here! It’s our go-to place on Beech Mountain. Super-comfortable beds. We love sitting on the balcony and watching the deer while we have coffee in the morning. Michelle is a gracious host and an excellent communicator. Thanks again for another great stay!

This was a lovely place to stay: beautiful and scenic location, not too far from a number of good hikes, clean, and the space itself had a nice aesthetic and was very thoughtfully laid out to make use of the space. The king bed was comfortable and there was great natural light and a cozy vibe when it rained. DJ was very responsive when we had an issue and resolved it quickly.

Amanda’s hidden gem was an amazing spot for me and my boyfriend to escape reality from! Check-in was very easy, and her space was very easy to find. Her space looks just like the pictures and we felt right at home. Amanda was also kind enough to supply some light snacks and coffee cups for the place which we were very grateful for! It was very clean, and we felt very safe and right at home. We were also able to have access to the country club, which we went for the hot tub which was so nice! The view from the balcony was amazing!! Overall, we loved our stay with Amanda and we will be back for a ski trip!! :)

Laura was a great host! The condo was very nice with great amenities! It was close to the National Park and had great restaurants near by. My only suggestion is drive slow when going up the mountain lots of turns and steep. Scenic drive and peaceful location! We got to see 4 bears in our trip! Thank you for a great vacation!

We enjoyed our stay here and in Pigeon Forge. The best part was the porch and the view! The beds were comfortable and we had what we needed to cook any meals we wanted. Lots of space and reliable internet too for a class we needed to be online for. Very close to things but still felt peaceful because of the location off of the main road and porch facing west for sunsets. We pointed out a few things to the host that could use a little TLC for cleaning, checking and stocking and he was very responsive. Overall we still gave it 5 stars because it was nice and the price was right too for a short trip.

We couldn't have asked for it to be any better, everything was clean and tidy, no dust in the corners, no funky smells, no carpet and that is definitely a plus for me. I did not have to contact our host for anything, instructions were clear before we left home, we had everything we needed. I would definitely stay again

Jackie's place was perfect for my family of three. My husband and I loved having a balcony facing the river attached to the bedroom, while my teenage son settled in comfortably in the sofa bed in the living room. The location was perfect. Very peaceful away from the busyness of the many attractions with a short drive to all the everything Pigeon Forge has to offer. Great recommendations for restaurants by Jackie with the Local Goat being our favorite for dinner. Applewood Farm House Restaurant is within walking distance and we highly recommend for breakfast! Check-in was easy, even though our code didn't work, I messaged Jackie and she was very responsive and had us in with a new code in minutes! Check out instructions were simple and clearly laid out in the notebook created with lots of helpful information. Definitely a great choice for a family visiting the area. We even saw a large group of Canadian Geese floating by on our last day!

Excellent. Beautiful sunrises on clear mornings. Fortunately I’m not from The Villages so I was able to easily understand the very clear instructions provided by the hosts! Highly recommend :)

Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Loved spending mornings on porch with coffee and the birds. We enjoyed dinners at the club and lunches at the bistro onsite too.

We had a wonderful time. Ramzi was available when we had questions. Very friendly. Cabin was clean and cozy. If you have never driven in hills before be prepared the roads are tight. The lookout by the pool is amazing and also clean. Neighborhood also clean and quiet. Everything was perfect as the pictures showed. One slight thing to update would be the hot tub cover as it looks as if someone or something stood on it and broke it. Still works just fine but it’s collecting water on the top. Thank you for a great vacation. :)

I couldn't be more pleased with my first AirBnB stay. The place was clean, inviting, and well-stocked. I wasn't expecting spices, dog toys, dog bowls, dog cot, etc. The fully fenced in yard, lake access, available kayaks, and privacy are the only things I wanted and this place sure supplied! the hot tub, outdoor shower, and firepit were huge bonuses. Also, met and talked with the neighbor who is super friendly 😉 I stayed alone the first half with my dogs and got my peace in. The second half a couple girl friends joined and we thoroughly enjoyed paddling out the this little island and throwing rocks, trying to fish, etc. Enjoying using the coloring supplies, games, and grill as well! It did storm most of the week, but even that was enjoyable! 10/10 experience for us all.

We had a great week! Beautiful view, spacious condo and very comfortable! The kids loved the pool and lake access both within walking distance. We also enjoyed paddle boarding and nearby hikes! Definitely recommend- we will be back.

This place has the wow factor - stunning location and views, great outdoor area, very homely and well provided interior, cant fault it, it was everything we hoped for, didnt want to leave! Angela was a pleasure in online communication and in person, thank you.

Your rental home was one of the best. The accommodations for 3 couples was perfect. Your response to our needs was immediate and appreciated. We had run out of propane for the gas grill and it was replenished the very next day. Thank you for your help with the TV. We found it a little confusing! It was very special to meet Mr. Driskel. He was very generous with the fish he caught and his knowledge of fishing was very helpful. It was a pleasure to talk to him. He certainly is an asset to your rental! We highly recommend staying at the Shady Rest.

The condo was extremely clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The decorations and overall feel of the place is great. The pool was nice to go down and enjoy as well. The view is incredible and we spent a good bit of time out on the balcony, just enjoying the beauty and serenity. We have zero complaints and nothing but praise for the condo and hosts. We definitely plan to return! Don't be deterred by the need to use the shuttle to travel back and forth to your car. The drivers were great and the wait for them was just a couple minutes. The entire complex seems laid back, friendly, and very well maintained. Food, groceries, or entertainment is all within a few minutes drive. While our friends were sweating in Bristol at 87 degrees, we were a cool 72 up on the mountain. It is a great place to cool off and recharge in the Summer.

Wes was an exceptional host — thoughtful, warm, and genuinely welcoming. He checked in to ensure we had everything we needed and greeted us with such kindness upon arrival. The home itself was incredibly well-appointed, with every detail considered. We were greeted with fresh flowers, a personalized welcome sign, and even treats for our dog — such a heartfelt touch that set the tone for our entire stay. Wes has truly created a space that feels both relaxing and special. We look forward to returning.

My family really enjoyed staying at this house. We absolutely loved the mountain views from the top 2 decks, and the bottom desk with the hot tub was private with trees surrounding which was nice. There were a ton of fireflies surrounding the house every night which was cool. The star gazing was also perfect from the top porch. We had a bear visit us while we were in the hot tub our first night. It didnt get too close to the porch. Just walked around and left. Such a cool thing to see it in its natural habitat. We stayed quiet and ready to go inside incase needed but it came and went quickly with no issues. The drive up was not too bad but I definitely recommend driving slow with all the curves around the mountains. The parking situation was a little tight so just be aware you may have to backup and go forward a few times if you are in a big truck. The pool we went to was only a 6 minute drive and was good sized. Downtown was only a 10 min. drive and a beautiful scenic drive. 5 Stars!
