House vacation rentals in Franschhoek

We had the most wonderful stay at The Lookout. A well equipped, beautiful space with amazing views. St James itself is also a lovely spot. We loved looking in the unique shops, having coffees, and feeling so free, we would definitely like go back. Imraan and his family were so friendly and welcoming. Just what we needed after a long stressful journey.

Great place! Loved the pedal boat option. Perhaps not so ideal if you have toddlers because the staircase does not have rails. Minor issue really and other than that we had a good stay.

I had a wonderful stay! The accommodation is beautiful and absolutely clean. The view is breathtaking – it's simply delightful to sit outside in the hot tub and watch the ocean. The area is quiet, perfect for relaxation, yet you're quickly in Simonstown and other interesting places. Adam was very friendly and helpful, which made my stay even more pleasant. I can highly recommend this place!

Our family had a fantastic 3-night stay at Yvette's place. The house is stylish and comfortable - perfect for a family getaway. The kitchen was very well stocked and organized. We loved all the board and yard games, and there's even a little mud kitchen in the backyard where our son happily mixed up "potions". The outdoor space really makes this property stand out. The back garden is a little oasis - just a lovely spot to sit with a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. The parking garage was really handy and the property is in a quiet residential neighbourhood, but close to several great beaches and only a 20 minute drive from the Durbanville wine region. We also really appreciated the list of local restaurant recommendations the hosts shared. We would definitely stay here again.

I absolutely felt right at home. the views are to die for and I still cannot get over the hot tub outside. I plan to do yet another visit soon. the place is spacious, private and absolutely gorgeous. I would recommend this place to anyone

This is an AirBnB with a little something extra! Every detail is thought out and it really is a perfect place to unwind and spend some time away from the city. We kayaked, walked around the nature reserve, fished (badly), drank amazing coffee on their jetty and wandered around Muizenberg. There's even a hot tub :) The hosts, David and Maya, are super helpful with tons of recommendations, flexible and quick to respond. Everything was perfect! Starting from the beautiful house and it's facilities to comfortable and safe location with nice places for eat and shopping around. Thanks to Sonya and Zi for helping and useful advices, and for hospitality as well, it was very pleasant to keep in touch with them. And the most amazing part was the rooftop terrace with jakuzzi and panoramic night view over the city

We had a great time at this place. There was plenty of space for our 3 families. We enjoyed the entertainment area. Great facilities too. Would book again.

Beautiful home, lovely pool, location was perfect, we could walk easily into the centre and a short drive to many lovely vineyards. House was well equipped with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Elaine was very easy to communicate with and check in / check out was straight forward. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely stay again!

Tanya was thee absolute best ,a perfect host ,very helpful aswell as her helper ,the place was easy to find and I must say the pictures don’t do it any justice it’s a beautiful place clean and the kitchen has everything we needed for our stay ,the pool kept the kids busy as it was so hot ,she even gave us an extra day 🌸I must say she was one of the kindest individuals that have ever hosted me ,I appreciate all she did for myself and my family ..

We had a great stay at the place. A beautiful view on the table Mountain, perfect with the breakfast, and when it's too hot the swimming pool help to cool off. Also got some good recommendation about where to eat and swim.

We enjoyed our stay. Beautiful view of the mountains from the garden. Was super easy to walk to start of Two Oceans race. Be careful when pulling in as drive is narrow. Overall great!

Can’t speak highly enough of our 4-night stay. Exceptional property, fully equipped with everything you’d need, wonderfully big outdoor garden with pool and loungers. 5 min walk to wine tram, 2 min walk to Franschhoek main road, yet extremely peaceful neighbourhood/st the house is located on, could hardly have picked a better location. Upstairs bedroom above kitchen/living area could certainly do with a fan, the only constructive feedback we have. The property manager/cleaners were extremely helpful throughout our stay and helped with flexible check-in/out which was greatly appreciated. Massive thanks for making our time in Franschhoek so special!

Elzanne‘s place was perfect for our family of three visiting Cape Town for 5 nights. Our 2 year old enjoyed playing with all the toys available, plus the trampoline and swing set outside. We enjoyed the bbq grill and eating dinner outside most nights with a view of the sunset and pool. The property is very quiet and beds very comfortable. There‘s a huge fridge and freezer and everything you need to cook meals. The house is also beautifully designed so it was a very pleasant stay for us!

The house itself is perfect for families, with comfortable beds and a fully equipped kitchen that has everything you could possibly need. Every little detail is thoughtfully taken care of. From the seamless check-in process to the lovely welcome basket waiting for us, every moment was a delight. The host continuously checked in to ensure we were having a great time. We loved the tranquility of the garden. So close to vibrant Kloof Street but surprisingly quiet. Cherry on the cake was the upstairs deck with views of Table Mountain. The house was just what we needed - very stylish, comfortable and well equipped. The pool was a great added bonus. If there was anything that would make the house even better it would be to have some AC. Even so we'd definitely recommend staying here. The hosts were very helpful and quick to respond.

This house will not disappoint! I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. The home is spacious, sparkling, an organizer's and entertainer's dream, comfortable yet with high-end finishings. You can expect to find that this home will easily match your expectations based on the photos. We are Canadian South Africans who lived in Cape Town 20 years ago. We wanted a space to bring family together. Taryn's home provided that and more! Even though it wasn't quite warm enough to enjoy the pool, it was well maintained. We certainly enjoyed the outdoor space by the pool, sipping our morning cappuccinos. We had so much fun playing table tennis, enjoying a braai and chatting in the spacious living room. The home is centrally located for seeing all the sights but neighbourhood dogs barking sometimes disturbed the sleep for light-sleepers. Even though all bedrooms are upstairs, we appreciated having a full bathroom on the main level for the less mobile family members in our group.

The house is in a super convenient location and presents really well. An ensuite for each bedroom makes it the perfect executive stay or family holiday. Easily accommodated our party of four and we look forward to returning again soon. Thanks Chris for a great stay.

This was our first visit to South Africa and Birgit and Eugene made it extremely easy for us particularly during our first few days when we were pretty clueless. But not just that - they continued with welcome and helpful suggestions throughout our time here. The well equipped apartment itself is spotlessly clean set in a really nice garden with a swimming pool and sun loungers. It’s an easy ten minute walk to the seafront where there are a selection of good restaurants offering menus to suit everyone’s taste. The area itself feels very safe and we had no problem walking back at night in the dark. All in all I have no hesitation in recommending Birgit’s apartments.

We had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful, well equipped and tastefully decorated. High quality and well appointed kitchen. Gorgeous outside area for dining, and a little plunge pool for hot days. The town is walkable and full of great restaurants and shops. Highly recommend this house for a wonderful Franshhoek holiday.
