Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Franschhoek

We stayed at Villa Stellendal for almost 8 weeks and felt at home: Tommy welcomed us warmly, instructed us and asked about our well-being every day. Our good fairy Miriam also always ensured fresh laundry, flowers and cleanliness in our beautiful home. The villa is cozy, everything is available, the kitchen is well equipped, there is a smart TV with Netflix and the pool provides regular refreshments and a Jacuzzi for relaxation. The villa is secluded and therefore very private. The location is central yet quiet. For all requests and questions, the reception with Anneke, Cindy and Hannah is also staffed daily and open and helpful for all requests and questions. Even if there were small deficits or repairs, Tommy was available daily and quickly and easily remedied the deficiencies. It was very difficult for us to say goodbye, but we will see all the lovely people again in October 2025.

Great place! Loved the pedal boat option. Perhaps not so ideal if you have toddlers because the staircase does not have rails. Minor issue really and other than that we had a good stay.

We had a great stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Wesley, the host, was welcoming, responsive, and made the entire process smooth from start to finish. The location was perfect - peaceful, yet conveniently close to everything we wanted to see and do in Stellenbosch. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would highly recommend staying here!

We loved our stay at this beautiful house in a fantastic setting in Stellenbosch. Mitford and Ilsa couldn’t have been friendlier, and the house and pool were the perfect base for our group to explore the winelands. We’d be delighted to come back!

Hands down the best experience I’ve ever had staying at a property. From Maryna the host who was an absolute pleasure to deal with, down to the breathtaking property. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we were really sad to leave when our trip ended. Would definitely look to stay here again!

Beautiful home in an amazing location. Felt right at home - house is just far enough from the hustle and bustle of the Main Street to feel very private but all within walking distance of anything you need. Jan was a great host and so was Eric who looked after us very well. Will def be back for future trips.

Narine was a fantastic host who communicated exceptionally well, making the check-in process seamless. She went above and beyond to ensure we felt at home, even taking the time to share the loadshedding schedule to help us plan our stay more comfortably. The property is a peaceful and welcoming space, home to a variety of animals, which adds to its charm. However, guests should remain vigilant when driving on the premises to ensure the safety of the animals and those around them. Overall, a wonderful stay with a thoughtful and attentive host—we would highly recommend it!

Nice location to start or end your day. Loads of shops and takeaways around in walking distance. Avalon and her father-in-law were great and responsive. We appreciated the non intrusiveness and they allowed us to enjoy our vacation while answering our questions. Will not hesitate to book again

We enjoyed our stay in this cozy and clutter free apartment. The place looked exactly like the pictures and Sameer was a friendly and responsive host, who went out of his way to accommodate us and make our stay comfortable. The apartment is a stone’s throw away from a mall, which was convenient - and the views are really lovely. The heated pool and jacuzzi were also welcomed treats.

The accommodation was beautiful, very peaceful and quiet with an amazing garden and wonderful bird life. Thera was a gracious host and made us feel welcome and at home. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a bit of tranquility and serenity.

Marcia's place is a must stay if in the area. Absolutely stunning views of the dam and mountains. The cottage lacked nothing and the terrace sitting area was so peaceful. Would highly recommend it!

Very nice place to stay. Maybe a warning that other people are on horses around the farm and the dam is not very accessible or easy to swim in.

We really enjoyed our stay with David and Bonnie. The cabin is a true log cabin. We don’t see this often in South Africa. Everything was lovely. So peaceful and comfortable. They have a lovely dog, Chicco. He was very welcoming. The garden is beautiful. Such a lovely place. David gave us insights on where to go and things to do. Thank you, David and Bonnie, for a great stay.

Lovely location right by the beach with loads of shops and restaurants nearby. The house was lovely and very clean, had all the basics and is surrounded by other residence but still very secluded which we loved. Nolene was very friendly and helpful from beginning to end.

Carol was a very gracious host always making sure we were ok and if we needed anything just to let her know .She was open and forth coming .Her place is a little paradise up against the mountain, and very family friendly as there were animals and a pool with pool table and fuse ball for the kids .The chill area is very inviting with lots of seating ,a braai area close to the pool ,with 3 fire places scattered and lots of pretty lighting. The cabin was very comfortable and had all and more than was needed for self catering . She is a thoughtful host and very creative with her decor. I would definitely recommend staying at her place.
