This is a beautiful place for a peaceful relaxing getaway. Very clean, and neat. Could have used a little grass cutting but it is a beautiful view and home.

Claudia’s place was spotless! Beautiful views right from the property. Loved the Firepit in the backyard. Dogs had a great time too! Great location with lots to do in the surrounding areas, we followed recommendations in the guide book in the Airbnb, everything was fantastic. We visited Bonfire Burgers & Bourbon in Amherst, Mt Pleasant for a hike, and Ankida Vinyards. We had 4 people and 2 dogs and the space was perfect. Highly recommend!

The lake house was absolutely perfect. The house itself had everything we needed and plenty of room for our stay. The dock was great and lounging in the lake on floats was so relaxing. There is also a really cool lakeside restaurant and bar about two minutes down the road that was an added bonus. Definitely want to visit again!

We really enjoyed our stay. Robert & Donna were great hosts, very responsive and went out of their way to make us feel right at home. It was the perfect stay for Graduation at Liberty University.

I rented this property for my sister who was in town to visit us from Canada. She was looking for a peaceful property where she and her dog could walk and relax. She enjoyed her stay at Marsha's in every way and talked about how beautiful and peaceful the property was, as well as what an excellent and thoughtful hostess Marsha was. She expressed to me that she hoped she could stay with Marsha on future visits. The home is literally a museum, and Marsha is a delightful caretaker/guide of her home-made museum. Although I couldn't personally visit the property, my sister went on and on about how much she enjoyed her stay and shared countless pictures. I'll recommend this place to anyone who visits us.

Great stay, just what we needed. would recommend coming well equipped, it's remote and not the most well stocked rental.

My boyfriend and I wanted to do a little getaway to the Natural Bridge on the weekend. We wanted a place close to the things we wanted to do but also be remote so we can enjoy the natural scenery when we were relaxing. This place was incredible. The views were stunning and the location was peaceful. Highly recommend this place for those looking for a peaceful getaway!!

We were in town for my daughter’s graduation. The home is beautiful and comfortable in a peaceful wooded area. The house is well stocked with everything we needed (towels, dishes, blankets, appliances, etc).

Such a cute space, my sister and I booked this cozy cottage to surprise our mum with a girls weekend and it was just what we were looking for. Especially love the neighbors! (Aka the cows) check in was wicked easy and directions to where to park were clear. I would stay here again for sure

It was exactly what we were looking for and expected for a simple, quiet girls getaway for Mother’s Day. The chairs outside around the fire pit were our favorite! Clean and efficient! The fact they provided K cups and a few snacks was a great touch!

W a gem! We loved everything about our stay. Best equipped kitchen we've ever stayed at (for an AirBNB), furniture and beds were all comfortable, but the best part was the outdoor seating and eating areas. We spent the majority of our time outside. We loved looking at the stars, watching the fireflies, and listening to the croak of the bullfrogs before we turned in at night.

We would give Alyson and Darrell's AirBnB 6 stars if we could - excellent stay. Great location for hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains, visiting Liberty University, or just relaxing. Also, nearby Bedford is a pleasant town with some nice restaurants. This AirBnB combines the charm of a farmhouse with all the updates of a new home from central air conditioning, lighting, plumbing, to beautiful furniture; it looks like it was freshly renovated. The setting with the horse & donkey in the backyard and a view of Sharp Top Mountain out the front window could not be nicer. The fire pit with a roaring fire under the stars makes for a nice end of the day. This is our 2nd family visit, and we hope to visit again.

A Perfect Stay – Exceeded All Expectations! We had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at The Blue Barn Cottage! From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and stress-free. The check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the space was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated. It truly felt like a home away from home. The location was great, centrally located. The beds were super comfortable, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches like fresh towels, coffee, and local recommendations. Christine was incredibly responsive and welcoming, always available for questions. I couldn’t have asked for a better host or a better place to stay. I would 100% recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting the area and would gladly stay here again. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

The cottage was very cute and well-appointed. The campground/compound was super cool. There’s artist studios on site with some neat artwork. I got to meet the host, Karen, and see her metal work. I also ran into another artist who was friendly and shared what she was working on. I felt very welcomed and enjoyed walking the grounds in the morning with my dog. I’d love to come back and bring some friends to camp there, as there’s a bunch of camping and RV sites, too!

The cabin is excellent. It is in a quiet and beautiful location. It is very well maintained and equipped. I highly recommend it.

Alyson & Darrell"s Rose Cottage is absolutely charming and so are they! During our stay for our sons graduation they went above and beyond in hospitality. I would definitely recommend this lovely abode. It was clean, the beds are extremely comfortable and the layout was perfect for being together and also having quiet spaces to retreat.

The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful—exactly what we were looking for in a quiet weekend away. We enjoyed the grill and firepit, which were excellent for unwinding in the evenings. Restaurants and a grocery store were just a short drive away, making it easy to get what we needed. The house is old and has a lot of character, but it’s definitely not a luxury stay—more of a rustic, simple farmhouse. Still, it was clean, functional, and comfortable for our needs. The kitchen was well-stocked with essentials, and check-in was seamless. We truly appreciated the quiet and the space, and I’d come back for another peaceful break.
