It was cosy, comfortable, and had such a warm, inviting atmosphere. Nicola went above and beyond as a host, ensuring we had everything we needed and making us feel truly at home away from home. The property offered so much to do—we loved having barbecues at the outdoor stove, feeding the swans by the lake, playing darts, and relaxing by the fireplaces while soaking in the breathtaking lakeside views. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, and it was clear that Nicola takes great pride in creating a perfect guest experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to unwind and enjoy ourselves. This is our second visit to Robert's place and we will definitely return again as we love it. The cottage has a very homely feeling, all furniture and equipment is very good quality. When we had a concern about something, Robert got onto it straight away and fixed the problem. Though the cottage is on a farm site, and there could be people coming and going, it wasn't disruptive at all. There is a good balance of friendliness and privacy. We saw deer and other wildlife in the surrounding area. Truly a peaceful and restorative place to stay.
