Amazing house. Even nicer than the photos. Gorgeous view of Arenal from the top deck. Lovely pool. It was a super relaxing visit. The AC units are only in the bedrooms but this was not a problem at all and my husband is very much an AC person. We had fans going and the AC from the bedrooms came into the living room, so it was very comfortable and cool. Great internet. Quiet neighborhood. We loved it so much, close to town, couldn’t have been better. Thanks so much Sindy!!!

Very nice house with fantastic garden. You have a chance to see parrots and another birds.All equipment works fine.Housekeeper Rosalija lives in the next house, she is always there to help. Unfortunatelly, the house is just 50 m from main road , and, when trucks are going down the hill, the sound is so strong, that you can not speak to one another when you are outside. Take something to protect you ears in night, the trucks start move before 6AM, and finish after 11PM. Another problem is that the house is far from La Fortuna, it is 20 min to drive. It is self check-in, but the owner had not gave us instructions prior , so we had to write him down again to open the gates.They have strange code lock on the front door, which had closed themselves at 10 PM, when we was outside, so we was forced to broke the door. It appears,that owners knows about this problem, but do nothing to fix it.

We had the blue cottage and it was spacious with a private kitchenette. The bed was nice and everything was clean. I'm glad there was a pool to relax. We missed a table and 2 chairs outside and I indicated that. There was a quick response that they are going to put that in order next week. The communication is fine and fast. Outside there is a large kitchen with everything you need so you can easily cook if you would like. I would definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay here!! It was our favourite Airbnb and the only mistake we made is not booking it longer. It was also the comfiest bed we slept in all week! Norwin went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special!! We loved it. There was so much to do it was an incredible space and we were sad to leave it! We appreciate all the recommendations from Norwin, he was an incredible host! The hot water was also a bonus ! We loved the pool perfect place to cool down and soooo many games ! I would not hesitate to come back just to stay here!! The only rec I would have is earplugs if you’re a light sleeper as the walls are a little thin, although usually a very quiet peaceful neighbourhood!

Mrs. Sandra is totally deserving of her good reviews, a welcoming and helpful lady. He gave us a varied and very tasty breakfast in addition to his good recommendations for restaurants in the area. We felt very comfortable thanks to his good recommendations and excellent customer service. A thousand stars for her and her place.

Amazing stay with an even more amazing host. Jonathan prepared us a delicious dinner for an affordable price which was very convenient after a long day of driving and hiking. Would absolutely stay here again for the view alone.

This place is very basic and we just stayed here We had a great stay for a night! The place was super clean and everything worked just as described. We do prefer a bit more comfort in our linens and bedding, but the ones provided were okay. There’s only one bedroom with a queen-size bed and a sofa bed. It would’ve been better if there were two single beds, since the bedroom is large. You could separate or join them based on what your guests prefer. Oh, and there are some stray and neighbor owned dogs that live nearby and sometimes hang out around the property if you’re outside in the back or front. They’re friendly and harmless, but they might not be the best for people who are scared of dogs.

EXCELLENTE!!! I brought my Son, his wife and 5 and 8 year old. We lived in the pool area after the excursions. The beds were comfortable, TV easy, everything you need to cook in the kitchen. The house was a short 2 block walk to town and good restaurants. It’s at the end of a road so no thru traffic or street noise. FYI- the pizza place down the street has terrible pizza! La Fortuna restaurant was great! Pura Vida. Thank you Rebecca!!!

Great day with a very attentive host!

What a hidden gem!! The attention to detail for guests beat most hotels in my opinion. Everything was modern and squeaky clean. I can’t thank German enough for such kind hospitality. Any recommendations, even a driver, he was a quick to give! I had arranged with German and additional anniversary decoration that made this trip over the top! Forever raving about this place

If every Airbnb had a Tobi, the world would be a better place. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay in Monteverde. We enjoyed the tranquility of the property, watching the sunsets and the kids enjoyed swinging on the jungle vine! It is up a steep hill but Toni’s directions were great. Coming from living by a national park in Canada I struggled with having to pay fees every time we wanted a nature walk/hike. This can add up quickly for a family of four as every park or trail has their own fee system. It’s as shame as the cloud forest is such a beautiful landscape and I wish it were more freely accessible. We really enjoyed the night safari though, and got to see some really neat creatures including a sloth and bioluminescent scorpion.😍 I would recommend Rainbow House as a great place to stay to explore Monteverde.

We loved visiting Casa Mabri, it's a spectacular place with everything you need to stay, located in a very safe place and close to downtown. Bryan is an excellent host who was always attentive to our questions. I would definitely come back and I recommend it.

This was a really unique home in a quiet residential area near the Children’s Eternal Rainforest. While it’s slightly outside the bustle of La Fortuna there are plenty of places to explore nearby. We settled in for a week and enjoyed peaceful mornings in the garden and afternoons sitting by the pool. Exciting wildlife encounters, kind neighbours, unique architecture and stunning landscape views just a short walk down the street made this a very memorable stay. From the moment we booked this listing, Austin and Kacey were incredibly responsive and helpful. They were quick to answer any questions once we arrived.

The place is excellent in general, very good location and has all the amenities mentioned in the description. We had a great experience from check-in to check-out. The place is comfortable and spacious, with good ventilation and clarity, the kitchen is very well equipped. The jacuzzi is also well equipped. There is a list of activities that can be done nearby, I recommend the farm tour that was very nice. We are very grateful for the treatment received and hope to return soon!

Our family of 6 had a great 3 night stay at La Fortuna! The house is located just outside of La Fortuna proper, and is about a 30-45 minute walk to "downtown". If you do not have a car, probably best to Uber/taxi to town. The host/concierge, Home Vacations, is local with an office in La Fortuna - they were great and very responsive. They were also helpful if you need to book activities as well as transportation to/from activities, airport, etc. The accommodations were clean and simple - the pool and view were great! A/C and fans in every room kept the house cool. Also, ground coffee was provided (good to know if checking in late!). Note that there is a mini-super (convenience store) 100 meters from home and a grocery is about 1 mile away. All in in all a great stay and value.

Eva's place was incredibly peaceful and private with a beautiful, well tended garden out back. With the windows open, you don't feel the need for AC at all (it was very cool during our stay in early March.) The windows do not have any screens, which created a few humorous encounters with critters, but we had a great time. It is also a tricky/steep drive along rocky mountain roads to most places, but this seemed to be the case for everywhere here (except maybe in Santa Elena itself.) We had a great time and Eva was a great host.

This is a very nice, secure, spacious, family home in a local Costa Rican town. All the locals are extremely friendly, and the surrounding nature was breathtaking. We woke up every morning to see a beautiful white horse in the backyard, hummingbirds galore, and there was even a sloth family that lived in the trees above the playground down the street. Andrea is a fabulous host, who really cares about your stay, and checks in daily. We did a pineapple tour, visited the butterfly gardens, relaxed in thermal springs, and of course saw the volcano Arenal. There is so much to do nearby. We would rebook this place in a heartbeat! Highly recommend.

Everything was great! The place is a bit of a ways from the town (5 min drive) but it felt super private and cozy for a big group. Highly recommend it

Adrian’s place is great! We are definitely going back! Walking distance to mini mart and restaurants, also short drives to some of the best attractions in towns like Blue Falls and Pozo Azul. Adrian was very easy to contact and made sure we had everything we needed. It is a gear place to relax and disconnect. Beautiful spot to see birds and gear view of the volcano from the back terrace. Very comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen.

My daughter and I loved staying at Tucantico. The place was spotless and roomy and was the first truly accessible place I have seen in Costa Rica. The kitchen had everything we needed (including salt and oil) and the design of the place was perfect from the placement of lights and outlets to the warm blankets and the bed. My favorite place to sit was on the porch where I ate breakfast every morning. It is a very convenient location near the supermarket in Cerro Plano and only about a ten minute walk from the language school CPI. I hope to return one day.
