Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Fitou

A very peaceful and charming French village — we really enjoyed our stay at Olivier and Céline’s place. Thank you for your recommendations on places to visit, we loved everything!

We had a great week with family in this small well-equipped house located in a very quiet and charming private gated community. The house was very clean upon arrival and met all of our expectations. Eve was very welcoming, accommodating and available. The house is also very well located for discovering the region, the sea is a few km away, the Cathar castles and the Pyrenees are very accessible, Spain is only an hour's drive away. This residence is also ideal for children who can move around safely on foot or by bike since no road passes through, cars being parked in parking lots at the entrance. If the opportunity arises we'll be back with pleasure in Port Fitou.

An old house of great character with comfortable sitting room and well-equipped but old style farm kitchen. The shaded terrace was excellent for meals outside and the patio in front of the living room’s French doors was great for breakfast in the sun. The setting and scenery are absolutely beautiful and it is possible to do great walks right from the door. Our dog, Jim, was in his element. The house is well located for numerous walks including the Gorges d’Heric and circuits above Olargues and Saint Pons de Thomiere. A car is essential. There is no local shopping but there are supermarkets in Bedarieux and Saint Pons, not too far away. We enjoyed the restaurant ‘le lézard bleu which is close by in Vieussan. Lydia is a very friendly, welcoming and helpful host. An excellent stay we hope to return.

We immediately felt at home in Paule's small house. It is so lovingly and high-quality restored and the amenities are great. Unfortunately, we had to move on after three days. But we'll definitely come back and stay longer.

Everything has already been said. The fisherman's house is located in an idyllic place and in an Olympian calm. We felt immediately at ease and Denys' welcome was very warm and friendly. Admittedly, some maintenance work is necessary, but as Denys says, various external factors mean that this is not always possible. But the feeling of living in symbiosis with nature makes you forget these small disadvantages.

We had a wonderful stay here and truly enjoyed our time in Cadaques! Jordi, Sarah were wonderful hosts and very accommodating. The local house manager Kiki was extremely helpful in meeting us in the main square so we could follow him to the actual place. The vibe inside was very homey and welcoming and made us feel right at home. The views from the patio were amazing and everything was very walkable (as long as you are good with bumpy incline side streets!) There is only street parking so just be prepared to possibly park a little ways away from the place if driving there. Also very curvy road leading into town through the mountains. Lastly, we did run into a situation while staying due to a previous guest, but Jordi and Kike were beyond helpful and apologetic and did everything in their abilities to quickly resolve the issue as best as possible. Other than those few things we truly loved our stay and the great service from our hosts!

An absolutely awesome stay!!! The cottage is beautiful, tastefully decorated, modern, warm and very well thought out. The jacuzzi is great: no neighbors, a real little slice of heaven to relax. The setting is idyllic, quiet and soothing, perfect for a break for two. Marie and Gilles are very responsive and attentive, which makes the experience even more enjoyable! We highly recommend this accommodation, and we'll be happy to go back!

Great house! Super clean, well-maintained and well-equipped. We enjoyed the pool. By car, supermarket and sea can be reached within 15 minutes. Jürgen is very nice and was always there. All pictures correspond to the condition on site. We'll be happy to come back.

The place was very clean once we arrived and the check-in process was easy! The description was just as stated on the posting, and the host was quick and helpful with her responses to any questions or concerns that we had!

We had a great time in Collioure! The apartment was beautiful, great kitchen, lounge and spacious bedroom with comfortable bed. Great location and amazing view from the balcony. Restaurant is right underneath the apartment so plenty of noise and patrons looking at you while you are on the balcony so not very private.

It was again very pleasant to stay at Bruno's, who is a welcoming and attentive host. The accommodation remains cool despite the heat and the bedding is very comfortable. This is my 3rd stay. And if I still have the opportunity, I'll go back next year.

Antoine is a wonderful host, very responsive (replies to messages within minutes). The studio flat is adorable, clean, central - and had everything that we needed. I feel like Antoine has thought carefully about what his guests need - and provided it. Good value, a comfortable space and the location is excellent. We loved our stay and would definitely come back again.

Second stay in 2 years in the accommodation offered by Isabelle and the pleasure of coming back was still at the rendezvous. We had a great week, in a clean, quality, well decorated accommodation with an ideal view of the beach and sea of Canet. Isabelle was able to adapt to facilitate both our arrival and departure, with kindness and kindness. We will be back next year to continue to enjoy the charms of this wonderful area, thanks for everything!

A really lovely spot - near enough to Collioure and Port Vendres but away from the crowds and with a lovely beach right in front - great for a swim or snorkel. The accomodation is well designed with incredible sea views from the living room, bedroom and kitchen with sliding doors that really let the sun and sea breeze in. The place had everything we needed with extra touches such as condiments and laundry supplies. All very clean, bright and cheerful. Overall a lovely place to stay. Oh and Remi is great - helpful and friendly!

Host was very responsive and kind. It was exactly as described. The property was in a nice neighborhood and was extremely safe. It was the perfect place for a single night stop along a very long drive.
