Monthly Rentals in Faiões

This was just a perfect apartment overlooking the historic Roman bridge crossing the river. The location is magical. I had several wonderful meals from Tres Sete and Burguesia and they are so close to the apartment. I also loved my spa treatments at Termas de Chaves, which is a five minute walk away. I stayed 3 nights and wish it I could have stayed longer. Chaves is a very cute city and this was a very great place to stay. I didn't really use the kitchen but it has everything you could want. I hope to return again soon.

Casa dos Figos is no ordinary Airbnb. It's a lovingly restored home, rebuilt from rubble, which is helping to breathe life back into an abandoned village. It has everything you need to retreat from the busyness of modern life - a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, a lovely bathroom - and return to more simple pleasures: walks through the olive groves, dips in the river, sunset or storm-watching from the veranda. The view from the back of the house has no other human habitation in sight. Aida's story, and the story of Pallas is incredibly special and beautiful to play a part in. Thank you so much for having us.

We really enjoyed staying at Gonçalo’s house! It is on the outskirts of Chaves but easy to drive in to town. The area is nice and calm. The porch is nice to relax with some wine and have a glimpse of Chaves. The house is located on a hill so there is a nice view from some areas of the house. The neighbors are really friendly. The house is comfortable to relax and cook some meals if you choose. Very comfortable beds and bedding to get a nice sleep. Bathroom water pressure and shower is great, which I don’t see very often in older homes even when refurbished. Gonçalo met us at the house and explained everything we needed to know. He has all kinds of tips for the area that he’s glad to share. He was always available if we had any questions. We definitely plan to stay again later this year as there are so many interesting small towns in the area to explore! Chaves is really a beautiful city with an amazing park, castelo, all types of restaurants and many small local businesses.

Dear Hortensia, We had a very good Holy Week at your house. The house is beautiful and does not lack any detail. We were very comfortable and felt right at home from the moment you came out to greet us and show us where the house was. Your kindness, affection and goodness have made our stay an incredible experience. You even invited us to eat roast chicken at your house and gave us typical local products to try. The house was pristine when we arrived and it had everything. Beds made, new towels, fresh oranges, bread, honey and all with a smile and very good manners. We enjoyed watching them make a bun in the "forno" and they explained where to go and where to eat. A sweetheart. I recommend this house 100% especially because of Hortensia's warmth. He even gave me a typical Portuguese tablecloth. Amazing stay and wonderful owner. Thank you very much, Hortensia.
