Vacation rentals with a fireplace in El Cajon

Rosa’s Cottage is so unique, interesting and homey. We love to stay here! Even though we don’t need all three bedrooms, it is a great option in case our grandchildren want to stay over or if one of our Northern California adult children want to visit. It is so convenient and rare to have the use of a second bathroom in smaller homes, a bonus in case of extra family members. The dining table can seat 6 people. Bathrooms are nice sized, clean and have been tastefully updated. The backyard is adorable and we would use it much more if we visited when the weather was warmer. We have our own off street parking space and walk right in the front door to a one level house, making getting luggage and groceries easy to carry in and out. What can I say about Rosa? She is one of the kindest sweetest people you will ever meet and really wants you to have a great stay. We have had a couple of unexpected issues to deal with and she was very accommodating, making our concerns non-issues. Thanks, Rosa!

Millie's property was absolutely perfect for our weekend stay! The breathtaking views made every moment special, and the cozy, beautifully designed interior created such a welcoming atmosphere. The PERFECT loc to visit SDSU child. CHECK-IN/INSTRUCTIONS: easy to understand & got in wo any issues. NEIGHBORHOOD/LOC: easy to find, accessible, on a main, residential street. Couldn’t hear any outside noise. Walked around neighborhood at nite & otherwise, very safe. Within 10 mins of son’s dorm, lots of nearby eateries. KITCHEN: had basic ingredients & some random pantry items, similar to what we find at most Air BnBs. Though we mainly used the kitchen for simple breakfasts, it was well stocked to prep a full meal. Keurig with pods is always a welcome amenity! ROOMS & BATHROOMS: clean, spacious, & well-stocked with all linens. Beds were perfectly firm; no complaints abt kinked necks, sore backs, or rolling into any mid-mattress valleys. LIVING ROOM: clean, big screen, large enough for our fam of 5. BACKYARD: quiet, grass with patio area, jacuzzi which we wanted to try but didn’t get the chance. Hosts also provided snacks/goodies & bottled waters-a nice added touch!

We had a wonderful stay in Marina’s lovely home! My husband, daughter, and I were in town for one night for a wedding, and Marina graciously agreed to let us check in early so we could get ready before the event. Parking and checkin were very easy. (Pro tip - cell service is spotty until you get on WiFi, so make sure you have the door code somewhere accessible without a signal). The house was spotless and well-appointed, with modern furniture and fixtures. We especially appreciated the thought put into the bedroom linens - the downstairs bedroom can be cold, so the bed had flannel sheets and a heavy comforter. The upstairs bedroom can be hot, so the bed had percale sheets and a thin coverlet. Although we were only there for a short time, we were able to get in a couple of games of pool - an added bonus! We would definitely stay again.

Elyce was an awesome host. Everything that was described was spot on. We enjoyed the horses that we were allowed to feed. Would definitely recommend this place and would also book her place in the future!!!

Great place to hang out and relax in the hills for a vacation in San Diego. Plenty of space, huge yard, kids loved the pool. Quiet secluded location but easy to drive anywhere from here. Thanks Aaron!

Fantastic place to stay with a large group, and a great location! Cheap lyfts to the gas lamp and airport. Right by Balboa Park and walkable to several wonderful restaurants. The apartments were very clean and had all amenities we'd need. The hosts were very organized. Highly recommended!

Great spot if you have a car to traffic to/from the beaches. Was comfortable for me, my husband, baby, and our au pair, and probably would be a good fit for two couples or a family of 4 (one room was bunks). Amenities were ample, beds were large and comfy, clean. Some good food spots within walking distances, namely The Fish Shop and Kono’s sister restaurant (yummy burritos). Vons, Trader Joe’s, CVS all within walking distance for those looking to cook from home. Thanks for hosting us!

The location was amazing! Close enough to walk to Crown Point where we were attending a weekend event! Great neighborhood for walking our dog! Jonathan was very easy to communicate with and our stay was exactly what we were looking for!

Rami was a fantastic host. He went above and beyond for us and made us feel extremely welcomed. His place is in an excellent location, with most places in San Diego no more than a 20 minute drive away as well. We would highly recommend staying at his place!

I was so relaxed in this house that I definitely felt like home. the hospitality of the host were one of a kind. I had my 8-year-old son, he was able to play with the kids. the location was fabulous. I can't say enough good things about this trip. I can't wait to go back!

Jason is a welcoming host and made us feel right at home. The stay was cozy and perfect for what we needed. He was also very accommodating, allowing us to check in early knowing that we would be arriving into the city early. We would definitely recommend and book again!

This home was perfect for our intergenerational family gathering. There was space (and enough bathrooms) to accommodate all of us without being in each other's way but also being able to gather in our larger family group when needed. The location with views of the mountains was relaxing and reenergizing for the holiday with family members coming from all over. Although there were various spaces throughout the house, the kitchen area was a definite gathering space and accommodated well for people to be together and doing different things: cooking and preparing a meal, sitting and chatting, working on a laptop, reading in the family room not too far away. I appreciated the communication prior, throughout, and after our stay.

This is a great home in a safe, quiet neighborhood. Located near a shopping plaza with a grocery store, restaurant, and ice cream shop for any needs. Our kids greatly enjoyed the soccer nets, basketball hoop, and swimming pool. The home was clean and Liam was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. This home exceeded all my expectations! Everything was perfect for a group - from plentiful towels and outlets, lots of seating, VERY clean and super cozy! - This house is so beautifully decorated, and the backyard is amazing! Just the perfect place to be with family and friends. Sebastien provided very detailed and clear instructions, was very responsive and friendly.
