John’s place caught my eye at first sight! We decided to book this cute place between traveling from Florida to home up north. It’s about 20 mins from 95 but very easy to find. Nostalgia hit the moments we walked in the front door. It had everything we needed for our overnight stay. The bed was super cozy. We enjoyed the homemade fudge he left for us and REALLY appreciated the additional touch of the serving healing springs water in the fridge and on the counter for us. I must say, I think it healed my elbow overnight! The mulberry tree out front was the finishing touch to make the outside surroundings very cozy. This is a must stop for a night or two! You may come across a bug or two, but you must expect that in the country. 10/10 !!

If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat close to nature, this is the place for you! The bunkhouse is exactly as described—rustic and charming, like a hunter’s cabin. Insects and animals will be your friends. It’s not luxurious, but it’s beautiful in its simplicity and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We had an amazing time here, especially being able to see the horses and ponies up close. Spending time with Teeko the cat was such a treat—he’s the sweetest little companion! The room has a small heater to keep cozy and AC for warmer days, which was a thoughtful touch. The bathroom had hot water, and everything functioned as expected. There’s a small kitchen we did not use and this space is shared with a yoga studio. I even got dressed here for a wedding, and it worked out perfectly! It may not be fancy, but it’s more than enough if you’re comfortable with the primitive conditions as clearly listed by the host. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a rustic getaway.

It was exactly as advertised and she provided extras that you may have forgotten. The property was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Snacks and drinks for all ages were provided. Extras to make your stay easy and more enjoyable. We will stay here again when we visit the area.

The house was everything we needed and more! Felt just like home.
