Our Main Street (Cumberland St/Il Rt 121) is also part of the National Road, attractive old architecture, beautiful overhanging porches leading to our Covered Bridge

The Candy Kitchen

Take a step back in time as you enter this authentic 1930's Soda Fountain located in downtown Greenup Village of the Porches situated on the Historic National Road. The Loomis Family immigrated from Greece and operated the Soda Fountain and Confectionary until the 1960's. It has since been transformed into a spacious and comfortable living area with the original Soda Fountain still intact, beautiful tin ceiling, and also includes a large kitchen, a separate shower room & powder room.

Waterfront Cabin•Boat Dock, Fireplace&Beach Access

The cabin sits in the trees along beautiful Lake Sara. The cabin offers a quiet place to relax and unwind. You can bring your kayaks, paddle boards or trailer your family boat along for some fun tubing and skiing on the lake. The dock allows for the boat to be left in the water till the end of your stay. The Marina, Pinky’s (waterfront restaurant), Rusty Reel (bar below Pinky’s ), Cardinal Golf Course, Lake Sara Campground and Lake Sara Beach are all a short walk from the cabin!

Lincoln’s Loft is close to everything making it easy to plan your visit to downtown Vandalia. This loft offers a bedroom, full kitchen and bath, dining room, living room with a pull out sofa, and large smart TV. This loft also offers beautiful views of the oldest State Capitol in IL and is within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and local shops. Firepit area for roasting hotdogs or marshmallows. Firewood on premises. Propane grill on back patio. Small kids play area in back yard & 4pm check in with 10am checkout.
