Family-friendly vacation rentals in East Malaysia

Cyril's place is amazing. We stayed for several days in July. Cyril is very helpful with local hints and advice. He goes above and beyond the role of host we went for dinner to a local smokehouse one evening so that I could try lots of local food. The location is a bit out of town but that's really not a problem it's 11-12RM in a grab to the centre and we never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for a car. The pool is great to come back to on a hot afternoon and the shower was great. It is an unusual place, if you have an open heart and want to engage beyond a bland hotel room in a faceless block then Cyril's place is a gem.

I picked this location because it's literally connected to Top Spot, the greatest dining in town. It's also close to a number of very good restaurants. The apartment was clean (we had an infant crawling on the floor) and beautifully arranged. We were pleased with our stay.

Mark's three-bedroom flat is neat and clean, with great sea views on the ninth floor. It is conveniently located near convenience stores, restaurants and shops, all within walking distance, in a clean neighbourhood. The kitchen is well equipped and the drinking water dispenser is extremely handy. Transport is easily available and if you rent a car there is a parking space that goes with the flat. The daily cleaning service and 24-hour water supply (unlike in some other blocks in complex) are added advantages. Mark responded promptly to our questions, making it so much easier to plan and make the most of our short stay. I would not hesitate in recommending Mark's flat. We first met Mark as a kind and gracious host, and we now think of him as a friend. Thank you Mark for making our visit to KK so special.

We had a fantastic stay at Mr. Ian’s homestay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. Mr. Ian’s hospitality made me feel right at home. He is not only a great host but also a genuinely kind and friendly person who goes the extra mile to ensure his guests have a pleasant experience.

A very special place on a remote beach that you're taken to by quick boat ride, this really is a family affair. Martini, her friends and family do a great job of welcoming you in and catering to every need. The two chalets are light, breezy and comfortable, and the deck where meals are served is beautiful. The food is international, good quality and plentiful. The sea is very shallow so if you are a swimmer you will need to head some distance off the beach, and you may encounter jellyfish so take a long sleeve manmade fibre top to swim in. There is a really beautiful deserted beach just round the corner. A great place to unwind.

The accommodation is unbelievable clean and you don’t find dust under the bed. Ting is very kind in preparing the stay with aircond on prior to our arrival with complimentary packed drinks in fridge. During the stay, Ting also shared on recommended dining location in Sibu. A very considerate host and definitely will book my stay here next time

Ms Tan was very communicative throughout our stay. I am a Miri resident, but relocated to Singapore for work purpose. As it was my wedding, I had to look for an affordable accommodation for my relatives from overseas. The stay was very comfortable and Ms Tan was very helpful whenever things are not in perfect shape. She personally came over to fix the water heater problem and also replaced the kettle as the handle was broken. The door knob to one of the bedrooms was also fixed promptly. Overall, it was a good experience and would definitely recommend this unit to anyone.

My stay at Brahminy Kite in Kota Kinabalu was fantastic. The host was incredibly supportive and made sure everything was perfect. The view is breathtaking, and the privacy of the place made it a peaceful retreat. One thing I loved was how clean the whole area was no mosquitoes or flies, even outside. It was such a pleasure to relax without any disturbances. I highly recommend this homestay for anyone looking for a serene and comfortable getaway.

It's a nice place to stay with big family, peaceful neighbourhood & we had our great time together in the house when we are not going anywhere. The energy of the house just wonderful. Thank you Ms. Wynn ♥️

Wellin put in lot of effort & love in caring her little space. She is very warm & hospitality. Wellin's place is a good choice in KM giving very limited options here. Recommended.

Visiting Southern Comfort has been a blessing to have met new friends..John&Lincoln..our stay felt like just visiting friends. Felt like we have known them for so long.The place felt like its our own home. was amazing Having breakfast facing the river with morning sunshine. The river & the falls were the highlights. Having bbq with friends facing river was so fun. kids loved playing by the river and falls.The house is equipped with almost everything you need. Thank u John & Lincoln for an experience worth remembering. We will surely visit u again. My son even cried when we got home saying he misses the place.

As always , Rivera was a great experience, this time with my family, and i love that they had changed their wifi to unifi now have better internet connection

Absolutely amazing services from Sylvia. She was the one who texted us before our check-in. Very friendly and responsive person. As for the room everything is lovely and wonderful. Plenty of restaurants to dine in, convenience store available but no shopping centre but that is not an issue since the location is quite near to big shopping complexes. Only thing that seems to be a minor issue which is the Iron clothing is not great but other than that we are fine with it

Easy to communicate with the host and check-in was seamlessly done by Bibi. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. Location above the mall is really good, especially for those who like convenience as there is everything you need downstairs; easy to get Grab transport in the area too. Only issue was towels and some linens had stains. Otherwise all else was good!

Mei Mei is a great communicator. She brought me a new induction pan and a few extra supplies midway through my stay. The payment was pristine and the Imperial facilities were great. The market and restaurants across the highway were great, but watch your step crossing!

The location is good. Not far from the city, the view is nice. The apartment is new with nice design. The best thing is the washing machine, you can dry your clothes after playing water activities. Not many people live in the building, so you can have a private swimming pool to yourselves. There is an orange shop in the lobby and it opens 24 hours. Great
