Vacation rentals with breakfast in East Devon District

Stuart and Nicola made me feel very welcome. Friendly hosts and helpful when I needed to get to a particular place. Stuart made me breakfast, which was a treat, and Nicola’s homemade jam and marmalade was delicious. A quiet, comfortable place to explore the nearby quay and city centre.

We had such a relaxing stay at Emma and Richard’s place. They were so welcoming, right from the first message when we booked, then all the way through the stay and even after we left. They had provided a fabulous selection of breakfast goodies and even food and treats for Lexi, our rescue dog, who they also welcomed with such warmth and gave her the space she needed to settle into her new ‘home’ for 3 weeks. The place itself is spacious with a wonderful big lounge in which to relax as well as a super outdoor area where Lexi was safe as it was completely fenced/walled. We loved our walks along the River Tone every day and also did the other walks in the area that Emma and Richard recommended. We really loved our stay and would definitely return.

This beautiful cottage is a perfect blend of cosy and traditional, but also clean and modern. The cottage garden is gorgeous. We arrived late on the Friday and it was easy to access and Jane’s instructions and responses were great. Everything was clean and the bed was so comfy. But what makes this place so special is all the little touches. We were grateful for the homemade bread, cake, few bits in the fridge, eggs etc which made it feel like you a proper home from home. We loved the stay and our 10 month old daughter did too. There is a small spar convenient shop round the corner. A pub very close, which we sadly didn’t go in. But otherwise the village is tiny, quiet and beautiful. Thank you so much Jane.

Annie and her husband couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. lots of communication with instructions and tips before we arrived and great advice on local places when we were there. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

This is a fantastic, secluded spot for a stay in North Devon. Though quiet itself, it's less than 10 minutes' walk to Braunton which has a selection of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants which Ant helpfully guides with recommendations. The place itself is beautifully done, with a full kitchen, large bedroom and bathroom, and excellent outdoor area for barbecues in addition to a lovely firepit. The landscaping of the gardens is stunning, it's a brilliant place to relax, and Ant is very helpful and responsive if you have any issues or want tips on what to do.

Penny and Jon are fabulous hosts. They make you feel at home and bring warm croissants around each morning. They made recommendations of restaurants in walking distance and the short walk down the lanes was idyllic - we even picked wild asparagus - which is also served in the local pub. Would highly recommend a visit to this part of the world. We will definitely return in the future.

Ideal for me as I was staying one night. Rachel made me feel very welcome and I found my stay very peaceful and relaxing. The room was very clean and tidy I would be happy to stay agin, thank you Rachel! Just a note:- the car park at the coop is free after 6pm.

We thought it was excellent. It was exactly what we expected from the information provided and met our needs perfectly. The accommodation was great, clean and well appointed with access to outdoor space in a lovely garden. Everything for breakfast was provided. The hosts were friendly, helpful and informative, along with their lovely dog. Sidmouth centre was easily accessible with a lovely walk along the river with all the facilities you need, pubs restaurants and of course the sea. Would happily stay again. Thank you.

Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt in diesem wunderschönen Gartencottage und wurden mit kleinen angenehmen Überraschungen von unseren Gastgebern herzlich empfangen (Blumensträuße, kompletten Frühstückszutaten mit Milch, Eiern, Croissants, Kaffee, Tee, Müsli, Schokolade...). An einem Morgen gab es Himbeeren aus dem kleinen Garten, in dem wir uns am warmen Sommerabend nach umfangreichen Stadtbesichtigungen erholen konnten. Sehr schön sind die Lage und die verschiedenen landschaftlich interessanten Fusswege in die Stadt. Zurück ging es rasant mit dem Bus Nummer 2 bergauf - sehr zu empfehlen. Wir können diese wunderschön ausgestattete Ferienwohnung wärmstens weiter empfehlen.

We had an excellent stay here in Newton Abbott! Mike and Anna were really lovely and responsive. Looks like the pics and is a good size for a group of friends, beautiful decor as well. Would definitely go back!

Perfect 2 day stay for a wedding in the area. Kairen was super quick to respond to any questions and offered early check in if needed. Lovely place with every amenity we could have needed including a magical milk frother and some very thoughtful welcome snacks which were much appreciated after a long drive! Kairen was incredibly friendly and a delight to chat to, the majestic Percy the cat was also a particular highlight. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area, thank you again!

Jude and Will made us feel very welcome. Also a lovely welcome from their dogs. Lots of space and a lovely welcome pack including milk, bread and eggs. Easy 10 min walk into Bridport and lots of places to visit that are a short drive away. Definitely hope to make a return visit.

I felt more than welcome the moment I arrived, both Carolyn and her husband (teddy I think!) were so kind and helpful. I’d come down to cycle and see a friend. On arrival I realised I’d left part of my bike at home. The hosts literally went above and beyond to help ensure my disaster was solved and I can’t thank them enough. The Airbnb was delightful, beautiful surroundings and perfect location, totally private yet so near all you could need. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending a stay there and will be back, of that I’m sure!

This was the perfect location for my work trip to Bath - Julie was an incredibly kind and supportive host, and was so welcoming when I arrived. I will definitely book again!

This is our first Airbnb stay, also our first stay taking our dog. Having read and turned down a number of other Airbnb places the ducks wing seemed to fit the bill (no pun intended). The garden is lovely and secure, the rooms are extremely quirky which we both liked, our dog loved it. We didn't make best use of the many facilities including the pool, BBQ etc. We particularly enjoyed sitting in the garden listening to the countryside. As I've said our first experience with Airbnb but we were very impressed.

We wanted a last minute place for the bank holiday and what a wonderful place it was! Julia’s farm was lovely the setting was amazing. Peaceful, stunning views and lots of friendly animals. Julia herself was a great host nothing was too much trouble. Everything from showing us around, tips with the hot tub and ideas for what we could do throughout the days. We’d love to go back for a night or five. Would highly recommend

Howell and Susie were the best hosts we have experienced. They were so welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed meeting their friends and neighbours out by the Duck Pond for a wonderful evening get together. A wonderful experience we will not forget. This apartment was in a perfect location for exploring Woolacombe and the surrounding area. It was spotlessly clean and had so many thoughtful touches such as some milk, tea, coffee and buscuits for arrival and much more. Although the parking was slightly up the hill in the local village hall you could pull up safely outside to load and unload. The Beach House restaurant just a few doors down served delicious food. The lack of TV may put some people off booking here but this is actually a great opportunity to enjoy the view, read a great book and connect with your partner. A perfect little place.

Wij verbleven een kleine week in The Barn en hebben een geweldige tijd gehad. Het vakantiehuis voldeed aan al onze wensen. Het huis heeft een ruime badkamer, een goed geoutilleerde keuken en een groot bed (daar waren we wel aan toe na 2, 5 week slapen in diverse vakantiehuizen in een voor ons doen klein bed). De tuin bij het huis heeft veel privacy en wij hebben nooit het gevoel gehad dat we bij de eigenaren op het terrein verbleven. Verder is het met een incidenteel langsrijdende tractor heel rustig op deze plek. Heerlijk! En voor wat betreft de hosts, nog nooit zulke vriendelijke eigenaren van een vakantiehuis ontmoet. Altijd geïnteresseerd en behulpzaam, maar nooit opdringerig. Het is dat wij nooit tweemaal een zelfde vakantiebestemming kiezen, maar anders zouden wij hier zeker terugkomen. Bedankt Ted en Sam!
