The Bothy is a wonderful place for both r&r and as a base to explore the wilds of Scotland. It’s incredibly peaceful, cosy, and well located. There are plenty of walks that leave from the front door, as well as some beautiful longer walks a short car ride or cycle away. Susannah was a wonderful host and kept in touch which was much appreciated. Definitely stay here if you can!

We had a really lovely stay at Louis' cottage during our winter trip. The location is quite easy to find given the area is surrounded by fields. The view from the cottage is so beautiful and tranquil. The central heating keeps us warm and toasty. Kitchen has plenty of utensils and appliances for us to cook our breakfast. Highly recommended!

clare and all her pets were lovely ans very welcoming! she is a warm, funny Person with whome you can easily Chat :) The Studio Appartment is really cute, has everything you need and you could Start your walks Just around the Back of the House :) can recommend staying at clares and hopefully we will come back some day

This is my second visit to the Farmer’s Cottage, and once again, I was blown away by the peace and tranquility. There have been some improvements to the site since my last visit, including a few new additions such as the boat and the camping pod. John and his team are always on hand to ensure your stay is as pleasant as possible, and it was lovely to watch and chat with the young girls tending their horses. I will definitely return for more country walks, beautiful sunsets, and an uninterrupted night’s sleep. I would highly recommend it.
