The place was exactly as advertised, very clean and beautifully decorated to accentuate the old charm of a historical building. I am from this area so I am very familiar with Main Street and knew what to expect as far as location. We considered a hotel room, but I’m so glad we decided to do this instead, because the price was much better for a Saturday night and the old charm, shopping, and restaurants all within steps from your door can’t be beat. There is also a view of the river that I wasn’t expecting so that was a bonus. It’s no surprise that there are bars in the area, as Jeffrey states it in the listing. Some may like this, some may not. I’m not a drinker anymore, but if you are, you are saving money on uber for sure because you can hit several places within a few blocks and then walk back. For me, the people watching from the window was the best. The limited noise from the street wasn’t a problem for me because it was very dulled when the window was closed. Loved the place!!

Jamie was fantastic to deal with and the place was really cute and overall just felt relaxing! The Main Street was really close and easily walkable to explore. If you don’t do well walking you could still drive to the further places on main. She thought of a lot of things such as having shampoo, conditioner, extra toothbrushes, makeup towels, etc.

Heart-stopping beautiful place: the visual art, every functional object as art, even the spatial arrangement of decor and furniture was eye candy! And it was as functional as it was beautiful! Stairs may be too steep for mobility-impaired guests. Parking in front has sign for no parking during school hours; John said that was the spot for resident parking. Since I didn't want to risk a ticket, I just street-parked on next street. Easy street parking. Fronting somewhat busy street; some morning traffic might wake very light sleepers though very quiet at night. The experience was overwhelmingly calm and beautiful. I will definitely definitely definitely be booking John's place again.
