Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Daylesford

Our long weekend in Hayle Shed was cosy and very comfortable. Jenni and Jennie’s eye for detail has resulted in a wonderfully quirky and original space containing all that was needed for an enjoyable stay. We appreciated the extra thoughtful touches and all the handy local information provided. Hayle Shed is fabulously positioned near the town centre for nearby eateries and shops and right next door to the Sunday Markets. We would highly recommended this absolute Daylesford gem. Absolutely loved Carlos’s house! Was perfect for our girls trip away. Great location, close to the Main Street, beautiful styling, super clean and had everything we needed. Plus we arrived to a warm house on our first night!

Perfect for a rainy long weekend! We were given the perfect amount of firewood/kindling for our stay. We were kept very warm (which was much needed this weekend)! It was super relaxing listening to the rain pouring in the roof of the cabin. During the day we explored Convent Art Gallery & the Mill Market. At night we enjoyed choosing from the provided DVDs what to watch! Perfect place to switch off :)

It was great to arrive and find a couple of lights on incase we arrived late. The house was easy to find and the key safe was in a great location. As we walked inside the long passage had some doors running off to 3 large bedrooms and a shared bathroom, the main bedroom had an ensuite that had a very large bath tub in. The beds were soft and the linen was very clean. The house is large and has a beautiful back garden area with a large bird feeder. (take a small packet of bird seed and put in the rotating wheel). The views from the balcony are of nice bush land. The house has a very large common area and the kitchen has everything that you need. Thank you Deb for a loverly house. Warm regards Gary

This was my second stay at Treetops, and it was just as great as the first time. Waking up in the morning with the birds and the light shining through the big round window in the bedroom upstairs was magic. It is a very peaceful environment, the best remedy for recovering from the hectic life in the city. We spent the days bushwalking and exploring the Lerderderg Park and in the evening enjoyed the warmth and coziness of the wood fire stove in the living area. And in addition to all this, we were able to walk to the local coffee shop for a caffein hit....

Absolutely loved our stay. The home is neat and tidy. The sauna and bath was awesome and was the highlight of the stay.

Michael was a lovely host and Jack's place was a very special stay. The house was a beautiful 1960s relic and we enjoyed the features of the house. The view of Ballarat in the evenings was also very beautiful.

Stunning home thats well designed and lets you take in the beauty of the area. Everything we needed and was a very pleasant stay. Town has only one shop which is charming but just a 10 min drive to everything you could need. Top spot.

Clevedon Cottage was a cosy, beautiful cottage conveniently located within walking distance to everything we wanted to see in Castlemaine. Considering we stayed on the long weekend in June when the Jazz festival was on in town, it was priced exceptionally well, and had a lot of thoughtful touches inside that you wouldn't get elsewhere. I highly recommend for anyone planning a short stay in Castlemaine.

Perfect location! We went to a show at Her Majesty's Theatre, just a 5 minute walk up the street. Lots of eating options in the close vicinity too. The apartment is exactly as Lauren describes it, the photos don't lie. The front bedroom does get a bit of noise from the street - well it did on Saturday night, I suspect it might not be too bad during the week - but that is also in Lauren's description so it was no surprise, and I took earplugs which did the trick. The king size bed in that room is VERY firm, but that too was in the description, so again was no surprise. The 27 stairs to the front door could be an issue for anyone not able bodied. There is a carpark available to use around the back, but you do need to walk back to the front of the building anyway, so we chose to park in the street. No issues. It's free parking on Sunday, metered on the other days. Would definitely stay again if visiting Ballarat, and would recommend to friends or family. It's a lovely house.

A beautiful, clean, spacious apartment that was well equipped, central and homely. My partner and I had a lovely time and wish we could have stayed longer!

Linda was absolutely so helpful while in Ballarat, she had an amazing response time and ensured that I was able to message her anytime I needed, the place was spotless and had everything that I needed:)

Enjoyed 2 nights in the Studio Apartment. In the heart of Daylesford, easy to walk to town. The apartment was super clean & had everything we needed. The only very slight con is the bathroom is quite small and the water from the shower gets everywhere. But everything was very clean and we would stay here again!

Paigens place was nice on the inside and cosy very budget friendly would recommend

My wife and I walked into this beautiful, spacious apartment and both went “wow!”. Spotlessly clean and tidy, beautifully renovated and decorated and so comfortable and cosy. We stayed for the weekend of the Ballarat Marathon for which it was in a perfect location to walk to the start line with ease. A beautiful cafe 100m away was perfect for us as was an easy walk to the shopping precinct. This place is perfect in every way and I would not hesitate to recommend it or book it again.

Our stay was an amazing experience, Henfry was very responsive and instructions were very clear and easy to understand. The view was absolutely breathtaking, place was spotless and cosy. Definitely worth every penny, highly recommended.

Its an apartment with a magnificent view across Melbourne, right next to the incredible Victoria Market and the thumping heart of the centre of the city. Yet it is peaceful and quiet. The pool is long and lovely and there is a gym too. Selina was wonderful and responsive. Would definitely come back if I visited Melbourne again.

The stay at David’s place was amazing! The flat was very clean and tidy, with abundant amenities. The view is breathtaking and exceptional, viewing the landscapes of melbourne with beautiful glass windows. David is also friendly and nice, tried his best to accommodate our needs and requests. Overall the stay has been superb!
