Park your car in the secured basement carpark free of charge or you have a choice of public transport - use the bus, train or trams and all just a few minutes apart. 6 minute WALK to Glenferrie Station and Hawthorn Arts Centre, 10 minute stroll to Swinburne University, Aquatic and Leisure Centre, Lido Cinema, all supermarkets, coffee shops, cafes, restaurants and shops. No need for books either - the Library is across the road. Walk into the apartment and you are surrounded by a lovely wrap around decking and garden area to sit in, enjoy the sunshine and listen to the birds and watch the butterflies. The apartment is bathed in natural light with an abundance of windows and sliding doors bringing the outside in! Sleep in quality comfortable bedding (Queen size bed plus Double bed) and relax in your chaise lounge with 55" 4K LED TV (Ultra HD) with a brilliant LG panel, 4 x HDMI inputs, record live TV and play all your media on USB or through HDMI or choose to watch a movie free on Netflix. Free unlimited WIFI. The kitchen is well equipped with brand new appliances including whisper-quiet dishwasher, gas cooker and electric oven, full size refrigerator and a full set of pots, pans, dinnerware, bowls & kitchen implements including electric rice cooker, coffee plunger & percolater, electric sandwich maker and all guaranteed to be clean! The shopping precincts of Richmond, Malvern, Prahran and South Yarra are short tram stops away or just use the shopping strip right at your doorstep. We will be easily contactable by phone, text, email and via the Airbnb App and will meet and greet each guest to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. For those who need it, we will provide information about the local area prior to your arrival so you can make the most of your stay and enjoy every minute. We will be happy to assist you with the purchase of a myki card/cards for your public transport. We have provided you with a detailed information folder and every instruction manual for all appliances and locks in the apartment. We live 15 to 20 minutes drive away from the apartment. It is therefore important that guests message us or telephone us prior to check-in date to give us details of anticipated time of arrival. If you are arriving from overseas and do not have access to local calls on arrival, it is important that you send us your flight details and arrival time at least 24 hours before check-in date so that we can track your flight (in case it is delayed or early) and be at the apartment to meet you and hand over keys and show you around the apartment and complex. Thereafter, you will be left in peace and quiet to enjoy your stay in "your home away from home". Hawthorn is a beautiful, green upmarket suburb just minutes from the city with picnic spots, parks, biking, and hiking trails. The shopping precincts of Richmond, Malvern, Prahran, and South Yarra are only short tram stops away. The tram stop is outside the main front door for Tram Routes 16 & 74 or 5 minutes walk to Riversdale Road or Burwood Road tramlines. Barkers Road will take you to Richmond and Victoria Gardens Shopping Centre or take a leisurely walk along Burwood Road and the Yarra River. Catch Route 75 trams along Riversdale Road to Etihad Stadium, Cooks' Cottage, Melbourne Aquarium, Federation Square and Bridge Road shopping or in the other direction to Vermont South. Catch Route 70 trams to Swan Street Shopping Centre, Melbourne Star Observation Wheel, Harbour Town Shopping Centre, Docklands, Melbourne Aquarium, MCG, Rod Laver Arena, Hisense Arena and AAMI Park. Glenferrie Train Station is your nearest station. It is just a 6 minute walk from the apartment and nearly all express trains stop at Glenferrie Station. The train will take you to Melbourne Central in under 10 minutes. Glenferrie Station is on the Lilydale, Belgrave and Alamein lines. Even crossing the road is not difficult as you have crossing lights on either side of your location. Feel safe with security cameras in the common areas of the building. The building and apartment are wheelchair accessible. The apartment is so quiet and surrounded by greenery, birds and butterflies- you wouldn't believe you are in an apartment with every convenience at your doorstep.
