Beachfront vacation rentals in Daratsos

A great ,spacious, quirky botique 3 bedroom apartment in the heart of the old city of Chania. Very clean with all the amenities, large comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. The good wifi and a washing machine were crucial for us. Best of all is the location which is on a lovely, narrow pedestrian cobblestone street in the old town. Restaurants galore and a 5 minute walk to the gorgeous harbor area. Of the 3 Crete cities ,Chania Rithymno, and Herakliona, Chania was the most beautiful and well kept. The best of the 3 to use as a base(We did day trips to the other two towns.) Gannis was abroad, but his friend Christina was so nice, and helpful .She met us where we parked the car and led us through the old town to the apartment.

Words and photos cannot describe the beauty of this place. We had an absolutely magical visit. The home is comfortable and very clean and everything you need in the kitchen. Stella was the perfect host. She was so kind and thought of everything you might need. Make sure to follow her recommendations for restaurants as they were amazing. Thank you for the delicious homemade treats and a wonderful and relaxing vacation. We look forward to our return.

We loved this place. The balcony was very large with a direct view of the sea. There was a natural swimming area in front of the place that was perfect for a dip anytime. The sunsets were amazing. It is close enough to walk to the Chania city center, but a car is recommended to visit the many beaches on the island. Elpida was always available for any guidance that was needed. The place is a gem we hope to visit again!

Absolutely beautiful location, 2 minute walk to the main Old Port area and tons of nice shops in the back streets.

Great place directly opposite the beach - fantastic if you have toddlers like us. We ended up having dinner at the restaurant next door every day because the kids could play out there while we ate. If you want to visit the most beautiful beaches on Crete, this west coast location is great (though it should be noted that the beach near the house is actually facing north, which means it is thankfully not frequented by tourists). The host is very friendly and willing to help with any issues. The airbnb was very well equipped and prepared for our visit (including items we would not ordinarily expect like fruit, cake, and even a dinner on the first night - though we obviously knew about it based on previous reviews). We would come back here in a heartbeat!

The host was very responsive which was greatly appreciated. Quiet neighborhood for sleeping with the windows open. Very walkable to the main port. Loved the balcony!

The apartment’s large balcony & location at the quiet end of the Venetian Harbour in Chania old town, was perfect for relaxing and exploring the labyrinthine little alleyways of the old town of Chania. I started and ended the day sitting on the balcony, watching sensational sunsets, the quiet chatter of people in the restaurant below and the mooring and unmooring of boats in the harbour! Christina, my main contact, was outstanding in her responsiveness and assistance in ordering a taxi etc. I would definitely stay here again!

A lovely villa - looked exactly like the photos. We were a family of 8 adults and 2 small children and there was room for all of us. Kitchen was big enough with every utensil (and more) you could think of. Our host was there to greet us and was always responsive when needed ( 2 small issues both quickly resolved). A lovely welcome basket of food/drink etc was a nice touch. I would not say a car is essential - its less than 10 mins walk to several lovely restaurants and a nice little beach. However the nearest proper supermarket is 30-40 mins walk although its only a 10 euro taxi back and youll save more than that as the local shop (2 mins down the hill) is only really any good for fresh bread and emergency supplies! The outside/pool area in villa was roomy and the inside hot tub/sauna were well used. My only advice would be to have some sun loungers on the terrace outside main bedroom as that did seem wasted space although lovely views of the mountains and the sea. We would stay again.

Beautiful villa in a great location. If your are stunned by the pictures, you sure will be stunned by the villa itself - it is simply a gem. It lies at the top of a hill overlooking Kissamos. If you don’t mind a short, steep walk, you can even reach the town (and a supermarket) per foot. If there is anything to criticize then it is the kitchen equipment - a few more big bowls for salad etc would be great. Ioannis is a great host, super friendly and helpful. We are definitely coming back.

This is a fantastic apartment literally minutes from kalamaki beach and by a bus stop to/fromChania. It’s very clean and well appointed. It’s hard to find fault with it! I think the only issue and it’s nothing that can be helped or fixed- it can be a little noisy with traffic at times as it’s situated on a main road. Other than that we had a great stay. Thank you 🙏

This little villa was the perfect find for us! On a beautiful little cove with a beach across the street, private pool, very quiet and serene—a great hike up to a cave on the adjoining mountain, restaurants and groceries nearby, drivable to many of the islands locales—but even if you only get to nearby Chania, it’s such a charming town and well worth it. Stavros is the most gracious of hosts, very responsive and thoughtful, left us treats, kitchen was well stocked with basics, and he was full of helpful information to make our stay amazing. Wish we’d stayed here longer, honestly!!

This place is absolutely amazing. My wife and I spent our honeymoon at Aikaterinis apartment and we were completely satisfied. The inside provides everything what we needed. The description was absolutely accurate. The fridge is very spacious and there is a freezer as well. We cooked quite a lot therefore this was very helpful for us. The pool outside is very clean and also the temperature was perfect for the hot days in Greece. You can really relax at this place because there is not a lot of tourism at this area on Crete. Also the beach in front of the house is quite nice. We put our hammock under some trees and were watching the sunrise over Paleochora. I can totally recommend this apartment, especially for couples who want some relaxing time and together.

We had the best time staying here! The villa is beautiful, everything you need is there and it’s in the perfect location for walking to local restaurants, shops and to the beach. The bus stop to get into Chania is at the end of the road, and the bus comes every 10 minutes and is only a 10 minute journey to the old town! Couldn’t fault a thing about our stay. We will most certainly be back, thank you so much!

A small cocoon with a magnificent view, very clean and tastefully decorated. The terrace is a plus with its bench seat, and the dining area not overlooked. Shopping and beach is only a 10-minute walk away. We thank Fanis for his smile and the little touches (coffee, tea, water, toiletries...) Everything was perfect😊

We had a wonderful 5 days staying here! The apartment is very clean and comfortable with everything you could need. We particularly appreciated the washing machine and laundry detergent! It is quiet at night and nice to hear the locals going about their daily business during the day. Eirini is incredibly helpful iand booked taxis and tours for us. We enjoyed the Rethymnon tour and also Elafonissi beach (take an umbrella and picnic lunch plus lots of sunscreen!). And Chania is a beautiful old town with lots to explore and great restaurants. Eirini's restaurant siggestions were really good! It's a very easy walk to the old town from the apartment. Highly recommend staying here - we loved it!

Karolina and Jadwiga are very pleasant hosts and communication between us was always very quick and helpful. Check-in works perfectly. However, Google Maps showed the neighboring building for us. However, the accommodation is advertised outside and that's how you find it. The accommodation itself is excellent: modern kitchen and bathrooms, beautiful rooms. And the outdoor area with sun loungers, parasols, tables, chairs, barbecue areas and beach is phenomenal! The only thing that is a bit disturbing: You are right on the main road and in the house itself you can still hear this noise well.

Kladissos apartment is a great little retreat, perfect location away from the more crowded areas of Chania, it's only a short walk to the quiet beach and only a short stroll to the old town, lighthouse and bus station. The apartment was perfect, clean, secure and fitted out with everything you need for your stay in Chania, it also boasts a well maintained garden patio area full of colour. The family were very welcoming, kind and perfect hosts for our stay in Chania, our only issue was we only stayed for 1 week but if we ever return to Chania, Kladissos will be the first place we will look to book with again. A stunning new apartment - spotless, comfortable with all the luxuries of a fine home. Everything is new and it’s decorated beautifully. Quiet too. Amazing location.

This is the accommodation I chose for sightseeing in Crete on my honeymoon. It was really the perfect place to stay. I checked in late due to a flight delay on the first day, but the host was so kind to me. The garden in the accommodation is really beautiful, well maintained, and you can meet the cats staying here. When you lower the electric blinds in the large room, the sunlight is completely blocked, so it is perfect for people who like to sleep late like me. The small room also has a comfortable bed and a spacious built-in closet, so it's a great place for anyone to stay. There is a washing machine in the bathroom, so it is good to wash wet towels and laundry after bathing. You can see the sea right in front of the accommodation, and there is a clean and beautiful beach just a short walk away. It is very suitable for tourists as it is easy to access not only small supermarkets but also restaurants where you can eat while looking at the sea. The host was really friendly and listened carefully to the necessary requirements. If I visit Crete again, I would definitely like to stay again.

We had a great view to the sea from the apartment and we found free parking and beach equipment. The area is not so scenic for a walk but the bus station to Chania Town is 1 minute away and we got into the heart of the city in less than 15 minutes. The rooms were clean, we had everything we needed for our 3-night stay. A very nice accommodation, the only thing that could be improved is the double bed which was a bit squeaky :)
