Beachfront vacation rentals in Daratsos

A great ,spacious, quirky botique 3 bedroom apartment in the heart of the old city of Chania. Very clean with all the amenities, large comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. The good wifi and a washing machine were crucial for us. Best of all is the location which is on a lovely, narrow pedestrian cobblestone street in the old town. Restaurants galore and a 5 minute walk to the gorgeous harbor area. Of the 3 Crete cities ,Chania Rithymno, and Herakliona, Chania was the most beautiful and well kept. The best of the 3 to use as a base(We did day trips to the other two towns.) Gannis was abroad, but his friend Christina was so nice, and helpful .She met us where we parked the car and led us through the old town to the apartment.

Words and photos cannot describe the beauty of this place. We had an absolutely magical visit. The home is comfortable and very clean and everything you need in the kitchen. Stella was the perfect host. She was so kind and thought of everything you might need. Make sure to follow her recommendations for restaurants as they were amazing. Thank you for the delicious homemade treats and a wonderful and relaxing vacation. We look forward to our return.

We loved this place. The balcony was very large with a direct view of the sea. There was a natural swimming area in front of the place that was perfect for a dip anytime. The sunsets were amazing. It is close enough to walk to the Chania city center, but a car is recommended to visit the many beaches on the island. Elpida was always available for any guidance that was needed. The place is a gem we hope to visit again!

Le logement impeccable, la proximité avec les restaurants , café aux alentours. La mer a 2min de marche. La rue est juste magnifique. Parking a 5 min a pied , gratuit de 21h a 7h du matin. Merci a Dimitris et sa femme. The apartment is perfect , proximity with restaurants and coffee places. 2min walking to the sea. The street is amazing. Car park 5min walking to the place , the car park is free 9pm to 7am (not expensive for 2hours 1.80euro). Thanks a lot to Dimitris and his wife.

Great place directly opposite the beach - fantastic if you have toddlers like us. We ended up having dinner at the restaurant next door every day because the kids could play out there while we ate. If you want to visit the most beautiful beaches on Crete, this west coast location is great (though it should be noted that the beach near the house is actually facing north, which means it is thankfully not frequented by tourists). The host is very friendly and willing to help with any issues. The airbnb was very well equipped and prepared for our visit (including items we would not ordinarily expect like fruit, cake, and even a dinner on the first night - though we obviously knew about it based on previous reviews). We would come back here in a heartbeat!

The host was very responsive which was greatly appreciated. Quiet neighborhood for sleeping with the windows open. Very walkable to the main port. Loved the balcony!

The apartment was great and comfortable. know you have to walk up stairs to get to it. Was private and cute. Walking distance to lots of shops and food. Best part was the patio and view. Loved this place.

Manos and Christina were very friendly and responsive. All of our questions were answered promptly. The house was a little difficult to find at night but Christina was there at check in to show us around. At the house, there were supplies like eggs, lunch meat, bread, fresh fruit, olive oil , and a bottle of wine. This was greatly appreciated as we arrived after dark and it gave us some breakfast food for the morning. We loved the sound of the waves at night lulling us to sleep! The hosts also changed the bedding and sheets after a couple of days which was extremely thoughtful and generous. The house is close to many restaurants and has a few super markets near by. Close beaches were also nice and we enjoyed the peacefulness they provided prior to the big tourist season. Lake Kournas was beautiful and only about an hour drive from the house. Having a car was nice but not entirely necessary for the house’s location. Driving in Crete can be a little daunting but doable!

I can’t say enough about how wonderful this villa truly is. We were a family of 10 people and the place was perfect to accommodate us. The place is super clean, has all amenities you could possibly need, and has a fantastic view . The location was ideal, it is a 5 mins drive to a few different beaches, there are fantastic restaurants close by and a 15 min drive to get into Chania. What makes this place even better however are the wonderful hosts. They are always responsive with any needs, questions or requests you may have. They are also knowledgeable of the surroundings which is extremely helpful. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this place, I would recommend to family and friends. Thank you

Extremely beautiful and friendly!

Beautiful villa in a great location. If your are stunned by the pictures, you sure will be stunned by the villa itself - it is simply a gem. It lies at the top of a hill overlooking Kissamos. If you don’t mind a short, steep walk, you can even reach the town (and a supermarket) per foot. If there is anything to criticize then it is the kitchen equipment - a few more big bowls for salad etc would be great. Ioannis is a great host, super friendly and helpful. We are definitely coming back.

Comfortable and well-equipped apartment. Easy parking. Spacious rooms. Each bedroom with bathroom/toilet. Close enough to Chania. Very good stay. To get to the apartment, use the contact information provided by the agency rather than the address in the GPS.

This little villa was the perfect find for us! On a beautiful little cove with a beach across the street, private pool, very quiet and serene—a great hike up to a cave on the adjoining mountain, restaurants and groceries nearby, drivable to many of the islands locales—but even if you only get to nearby Chania, it’s such a charming town and well worth it. Stavros is the most gracious of hosts, very responsive and thoughtful, left us treats, kitchen was well stocked with basics, and he was full of helpful information to make our stay amazing. Wish we’d stayed here longer, honestly!!

Villa Celestine is sensational! I can't recommend it enough. The villa is amazing and has all mod cons and luxury features. The views from the middle and top floors are second to none - right on the beach over looping the sea and the habour. The area is beautiful, Kolymbari is the perfect sleepy little seaside village, with plenty of restaurants, gift shops, taxis and waterparks nearby. But the best part was the team of Christina, George and everyone nearby that helped with everything we needed. The service was excellent, i'd say perfect!

We had the best time staying here! The villa is beautiful, everything you need is there and it’s in the perfect location for walking to local restaurants, shops and to the beach. The bus stop to get into Chania is at the end of the road, and the bus comes every 10 minutes and is only a 10 minute journey to the old town! Couldn’t fault a thing about our stay. We will most certainly be back, thank you so much!

We had a nice stay. The location is excellent, very close to the harbor and in the middle of the charm of the old town. We would definitely stay here again.

A great location right near the beach with clear views of an incredible sunset. The balcony was our favorite part but the location was great, with restaurants within seconds and the old port within a nice 15min walk along the water. Perfect. Katerina and George were amazing, easy communication and both went above and beyong welcoming us to Chania. Would highly recommend staying here if youre visiting Chania.

A small cocoon with a magnificent view, very clean and tastefully decorated. The terrace is a plus with its bench seat, and the dining area not overlooked. Shopping and beach is only a 10-minute walk away. We thank Fanis for his smile and the little touches (coffee, tea, water, toiletries...) Everything was perfect😊

We had a wonderful 5 days staying here! The apartment is very clean and comfortable with everything you could need. We particularly appreciated the washing machine and laundry detergent! It is quiet at night and nice to hear the locals going about their daily business during the day. Eirini is incredibly helpful iand booked taxis and tours for us. We enjoyed the Rethymnon tour and also Elafonissi beach (take an umbrella and picnic lunch plus lots of sunscreen!). And Chania is a beautiful old town with lots to explore and great restaurants. Eirini's restaurant siggestions were really good! It's a very easy walk to the old town from the apartment. Highly recommend staying here - we loved it!

Karolina and Jadwiga are very pleasant hosts and communication between us was always very quick and helpful. Check-in works perfectly. However, Google Maps showed the neighboring building for us. However, the accommodation is advertised outside and that's how you find it. The accommodation itself is excellent: modern kitchen and bathrooms, beautiful rooms. And the outdoor area with sun loungers, parasols, tables, chairs, barbecue areas and beach is phenomenal! The only thing that is a bit disturbing: You are right on the main road and in the house itself you can still hear this noise well.

Kladissos apartment is a great little retreat, perfect location away from the more crowded areas of Chania, it's only a short walk to the quiet beach and only a short stroll to the old town, lighthouse and bus station. The apartment was perfect, clean, secure and fitted out with everything you need for your stay in Chania, it also boasts a well maintained garden patio area full of colour. The family were very welcoming, kind and perfect hosts for our stay in Chania, our only issue was we only stayed for 1 week but if we ever return to Chania, Kladissos will be the first place we will look to book with again.
