Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Connacht

Just returned from spending a week at Nuala’s home. I cannot emphasize enough how incredible our stay was. If you are thinking about booking with her, don’t hesitate. Just do it! She had every amenity anyone would need for a short or long stay. She has an entire garage of outdoor games and equipment for children- bikes, dune buggy, rain/mud boots, soccer balls, golf clubs, fishing equipment, chairs, picknet blankets, and the list goes on. Her home was immaculate, and spacious for up to 7 people. She had a detailed list of all of the activities in the area. But the best part was her hospitality, the animals and sweetest dogs ever, and the location. Her home is a five minute walk to the beach, with incredible views and scenery! My children played with the family dogs everyday, we milked cows, got local eggs from the hen house every morning, fed the horses. Nuala was so incredibly kind. She treated us like family from the moment we arrived. Lots of tears shed when we left. Thank you!

Great location - you can easily into the town centre and there’s a lovely walk along the river nearby too!

We were down for a family celebration at the Slieve Russell and stayed at Francis' house. The house is really lovely. it is extremely clean and well kept and very comfortable. They have thought of everything. I would definitely stay again.

We stayed here as a group of 23 girls for a hen. The house was absolutely perfect. There was plenty of space for such a big group. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. A brilliant location so close to Kilkenny. Mary was so lovely and helpful throughout the entire process and couldn’t have done any more for us!

Great big house in central location in Killybegs. 15 minute walk to shorefront and pubs/shop etc. Mary was very responsive and extremely helpful both prior to and after our stay. My mum forgot her sunglasses and Mary offered to post them to us - brilliant! There were 5 adults and 4 kids staying and the house was a perfect size. Bedrooms were clean and welcoming. The living room was spacious and warm with the option of an open fire. The kitchen was also very spacious and had everything you would need. We did the short drive to Slieve League and would highly recommend this. All in all, a super stay in a lovely house in beautiful Killybegs. Mary was a brilliant host. Would definitely go back with the family.

It was a super nice house and was neatly maintained. We had a nice view of the sea and nature. It was also a super nice neighbourhood and friendly neighbors. Also the the communication with Doris was smooth & fast. Thank you!

We had a little trouble locating the property but Patrick's wife, Michelle, came to find us so that we could follow her there. She was very kind and welcoming and even escorted us in to town and recommended some restaurants to us. It is a beautiful place to stay, clean and well equipped, with stunning views of the Irish countryside and excellent hosts. Would highly recommend.

Amazing value! Kathleen's cottage was beautiful, well equipped and very clean! We loved the chess board and other games. Kathleen even had a fire lit ready for our arrival, and had a chilled bottle of wine waiting for us as a birthday present in the fridge! Would recommend to anyone, and will definitely be back again :)

Padraic’s place was the perfect location in the heart of West End, Galway. He was an excellent host who was very responsive and flexible to my needs. The unit was a great 3 bedroom that had all you needed to a visit to this lovely city. I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning.

Good-medium value for a clean, quiet place. We spent 3 nights. Very walkable town and great restaurant and cafe choices, petrol, coffee, grocery, etc. Great water pressure, tea kettle and supplies, and a nice touch of milk and water in small fridge. Large bed with the topper was a bit sunken toward each other for 2 adults ( 165, 210 pounds, not obese) and the single bed in the same room is very firm (could use a topper). My husband simply took the small bed and all is well. Safe surroundings. No pub noise at all. Parking was no problem. Cute place. Enjoy.

A lovely apartment with beautiful scenery on the lough.I have nothing negative about this place and would highly recommend it to anyone looking quality accommodation, we even prefer it now more than the killyhevlin lodges.We have stayed in a few places now in enniskillen and this might just be our favorite yet.Thanks Gary for letting us stay. Barry was an excellent host and easy to communicate with. The apartment was a nicely renovated older apartment and very comfortable. The area was perfect to explore Ennis and walking distance to everything. The location was also great to get out and explore surrounding towns and areas. We very much enjoyed our stay!

2nd time staying at Stephens place and we'll def be back, great host great location

We had such a great time and highly recommend staying here the next time you are in Galway! The apartment was so lovely and spacious, and conveniently located to the center of town. Michelle was a great host and very communicative, we will definitely stay here again next time we are in town.

We had a wonderful three-day stay at Mary’s place! The surroundings are beautiful, and the location is convenient with great access to the town. The price was very reasonable for everything that was offered. Even though the weather wasn’t perfect, the hot tub and sauna made our trip so much more enjoyable — they turned rainy days into relaxing afternoons. Sitting by the dock with a cup of hot tea, watching the water, was one of the most peaceful moments of our stay. Thank you, Mary, for providing such a cozy and lovely getaway!

Super logement très bien aménagé, neuf et très joliment décoré ! Il se situe dans le charmant village de Doolin à deux pas des pubs traditionnels du village pleins de charme. Nous avons passé un court mais très bon séjour. Nous avons juste hésité sur le logement à notre arrivée car j’avais reçu deux messages, l’un disant que le logement etait en bas et l’autre mentionnant le logement du bas.. mais tout s’est bien passé ! Merci ! On reviendra !

Michelle’s place was in a great location so close to all the things in the city and just outside! We enjoyed the modern decor and the patio outside was so cute! We stayed over St Patrick’s day, so it was a bit loud outside at times, but, the place was comfy and suited our family of 5 adults well. Would book again on a return trip.

What a fabulous place to stay and use as a base for the Ennis area. Angele was the perfect host providing detailed and helpful information and recommendations. The 2-bedroom unit was immaculately clean, and stylishly furnished. Would not hesitate to stay here again ... 10/10

Thaitin an bord púil go mór linn tráthnóna. Bhí an t-atmaisféar suaimhneach agus fáiltiúil i gcónaí. Molaim go hard d’aon duine ar mhaith leis eispéireas fíor-Ghaelach i gConamara álainn. Nous avons passé un excellent moment dans le logement d’Annette. L’appartement est très confortable, douillet et lumineux. Il est de plus très bien équipé. La vue est splendide, et les recommandations des hôtes sont à suivre !

A lovely apartment that was spotlessly clean and fresh. Super comfortable beds and great showers. Thanks for the lovely arrival surprise of some Hot Cross Buns! The location is excellent and there are plenty of places to eat -we had amazing seafood at Andersons Boathouse Restaurant which is just around the corner and a gorgeous breakfast at Mrs B’s. Hoping to return in the Summer for a longer stay!
