Monthly Rentals in Coltishall

Just had the most amazing three day stay at Kingfisher cabin. It’s a peaceful simple cabin with absolutely everything you could need. Plus special touches such as a hot tub, fire pit, comfy outdoor chairs and a bbq. But the best bit about it is its location , walkable to Horstead Mill Pond and being able to swim along 1k to a nearby pub on the river. Many beautiful wild river swimming spots nearby including from Hostead Church & Buxton by Lamas. Sue is the kindest and most generous host and has a wealth of local knowledge. We couldn’t recommend a stay there enough.

We booked this 2 night trip at the last minute and completely lucked out. We knew the location was suitable, being very near the Broads, but couldn't have imagined just how idyllic the surroundings were. The accom is a cute little hayloft, tastefully decorated and ideally situated within the grounds of a beautiful family home at the end of a quiet country lane. Everything you need is a short walk away into the village of Coltishall, where you have at least 4 pubs offering good quality food, cafes and convenience stores. The Bure Valley Path narrow gauge railway runs close by, and the River Bure offers all sorts of water based activities, whether motor or hand powered. Our host Nikki and her husband couldn't have been more helpful and attentive. We arrived far too early, and nothing was a problem for Nikki. Sitting out in the garden with a drink after sun down, watching satellites whizz over and a sky full of stars was a real highlight. A fantastic short break destination.

Graham responded quickly to our individual requests. The cottage is down a short leafy track off the road. The rooms are spacious, as are the grounds. we found some lovely walks in the area and a great cafe nearby where we had breakfast. It's easy to get to Norwich and the Broads, and coast. We has the 2 single beds put together so we each had a double, beds were very comfortable. We both had a very relaxed week, thanks Graham.

We had a lovely time at Chestnut Cottage. It was clean, spacious, well situated and comfortable. The welcome hamper was fantastic! Coltishall has some good shops and the butcher over the road was great. It’s very well situated for the Norfolk Broads, and we can recommend hiring a day boat from Wrexham. Thanks for a great stay!
