Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Colón Island

Ronald's place is just a little haven in front of the picturesque Bluff Beach. With sometimes strong streams and big waves (even though safe if you are careful), we were super happy to have the opportunity to let our little 4 years baby swim and play in the pool. The atmosphere and the terrace were to have breakfast with a nice view overlooking the garden is so welcoming with a comfortable sitting area. Everything was clean and the breakfast prepared by friendly staff every day was very good. Karen and Steve who were here taking care of the place were very helpful and always available with tips, and recommendations for things to do or to book. The location is also just amazing surrounded by wildlife. With peaceful monkeys in the trees ! I definitely recommend the place and hope to come back one day !

Staying at Bluff Beach Retreat was amazing, check in was very easy as Ron arranged a taxi to meet us at the airport and bring us to the retreat via a shop to pick up some groceries. Augusto was a great host during our time there. We felt right at home and any questions or requests were handled very quickly. The location is amazing, right by the beach and with beautiful gardens and lots of wildlife. We’d happily stay here again

Thanks to Ron, and Karen and Steve (on-site managers) for a wonderful stay! The property is beautiful - lush gardens and forest, monkeys/sloths/frogs/birds around (but not a lot of bugs!), beautiful beach at front door (very strong waves, not good swimming, just wading). Service was great (lovely breakfast, recommending/coordinating outings, cleaning/maintenance). Would love to be back someday!

Easily the nicest, kindest, most gracious hosts I've had on AirBnB, also the first bed and breakfast I've stayed at on the app. Fantastic breakfast and a great time all around. Also walkable to Bocas town easily

Manon es un excelente anfitrion, nos dio los mejores tips, recomendaciones, nos solicitaba los taxi botes que llegaban muy rápido, para poder ir a distintos lugares turísticos de la zona! El lugar es increíble, se encuentra inserto en medio de una reserva natural, donde se puede ver mucha fauna y vegetación, vimos monos perezosos, mucha variedad se aves y diversa fauna silvestre. Es un lugar muy pero muy agradable para una plena conexión con la naturaleza, 1000% recomendado Además que el hospedaje viene con desayuno incluído por el precio, muy bonito el restaurante donde lo sirven, queda arriba y tiene una vista maravillosa! También recomiendo pagar la cena para que puedan disfrutar de buena comida, una vista increíble, y unas muy buenas copas de vino! Recomiendo Ataraxia a todo el que guste de la naturaleza

Wir waren zu zweit für 4 Nächte in Saigon Bay bei Angie und Nicolas, wir kamen per Boot direkt an ihren Steg vor dem Haus. Die Unterkunft war sehr ordentlich und wir hatten ausreichend Platz. Das Frühstück war jeden Tag sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Bei Fragen waren Angie und Nicolas immer erreichbar und haben uns Tipps für Ausflüge zu den umliegenden Stränden gegeben. Wir können ihre Unterkunft in der Saigon Bay auf der Isla Colon sehr empfehlen. Hat uns rundherum sehr gut gefallen, wir hatte eine schöne Urlaubszeit, danke an euch, Angie und Nicolas! We stayed here for our ten year anniversary celebration and were so happy we did. The weather ended up being a bit on the rainy side, but we still had a wonderful time going on lots of walks, playing games, swimming in the rain, and of course enjoying the food. Definitely our favorite food we had during our whole trip in Panama. We would have extended if we could only to try more from their menu. Thank you for a really relaxing time and we hope to visit your paradise again someday.

Wij hebben een onvergetelijke tijd gehad op bird island. De locatie is uniek en prachtig, de bungalow was comfortabel en mooi ingericht, het personeel was vriendelijk en professioneel en het eten was heerlijk en gezond!

Firefly is a really cute place to stay on Bastimentos island! If not for the rooms, be sure to try at least the food: it was nothing short of amazing! And breakfast is included too, and those didn't disappoint! We were greatly welcomed with drinks and recommendations as well. The room is typical of Bocas: water from rainwater, no A/C but fans (the room is near the ocean so there's fresh air, works pretty well), basic bathroom. Nothing fancy but it's functional and part of the island's charm. The only downside we found was that although it's facing the ocean (beautiful view and sunsets!), there isn't a beach nor places to really swim (water is accessible but it isn't easy). For a sand beach you'll have to walk to town and do a short hike (about 30mn total from Firefly). We recommend the place for sure !

Tammy is a great host with a charming locale off the main road (which was great because it was Carnival). Fantastic bfast, clean room and she even gave me a lift to the airport (which was close and convenient), but appreciated none the less!

Die Unterkunft ist hochwertig gebaut und bietet einen tollen Blick auf das Meer sowie auf die Bird Island. Die Liegestühle und Stühle auf der Terrasse laden ein zu entspannen. Das Zimmer war sauber und bot ausreichend Ablageflächen. Der Ventilator im Zimmer sorgte für angenehme Luftzirkulation in der Nacht. Das Restaurant der Unterkunft verdient besondere Erwähnung. Die Speisen waren von höchster Qualität und die Cocktails der Bar waren köstlich! Das freundliche und hilfsbereite Team war immer zur Stelle. Ihre herzliche Gastfreundschaft trug maßgeblich dazu bei, dass ich mich hier sehr wohl fühlte. Die WLAN Verfügbarkeit war ausreichend, die Übertragungskapazität durch die Starlink Verbindung aber teilweise stark limitiert. Insgesamt war mein Aufenthalt in dieser Unterkunft überragend und ich kann sie jedem empfehlen. Wenn Sie nach einem Ort suchen, um dem Alltag zu entfliehen und gleichzeitig Natur zu genießen, dann ist dies der richtige Ort für Sie!

We had wonderful 3 nights at La Luciernaga. The place is beatiful, clean, spacious and has a lovely relaxation area with kitchen and hammocks sorrounded by nature. We spotted tucans and humming birds from there and fell asleep to the sound of howler monkeys in the trees. There were a few good restaurants within walking distance so the location was perfect for us as we wanted to be away from the noise of the town. Carlos and his wife were fantastic hosts and took great care of the guests. Breakfast was delicious and you could see all the care that went into ensuring everything was not just good but 100% perfect. the only caution is the lane leading to the property floods in heavy rain and becomes barely passable without wellies so you might get your feet wet, but it didnt bother us. altogher a fabulous place to stay.

Pasamos solo dos noches en La Luciérnaga, pero hubiéramos querido que fueran muchas más. Es uno de los mejores lugares en los que me he quedado: limpio, bonito, cómodo y con anfitriones cálidos y pendientes del bienestar de sus huéspedes. Carlo y su familia son atentos y educados, excelentes personas. La habitación es tal cual se ve en las fotos, el baño tiene una ducha linda y con un caudal refrescante y revitalizante. La cama es super confortable y se duerme arrullado por los sonidos de la naturaleza. El área de cocina es muy completa y cómoda y el espacio de terraza con hamacas es relajante. El wifi muy bien. Aunque está a unos 4 km del centro de Bocas, es fácil desplazarse en taxi o bien caminar un poco para tomar el microbús público. Está a medio camino hacia Playa Bluff y La Piscina y cerca de donde se puede tomar el micro para ir a Playa de Las Estrellas. Y la cereza del pastel: el desayuno. Simplemente delicioso. Comida casera con detalles de Italia. ¡Super recomendado! <3

nuestra estancia fue muy agradable pudimos descansar bien, camas muy cómodas todo ordenado y aseado , había muchos árboles hacian que el lugar se sintiera muy calido, muy cerquita de restaurantes, supermercados, la playa a poquitos metros caminando, los desayunos deliciosos, uno de los días tuvimos q salir de madrugada y nos prepararon el desayuno para llevarlo, el señor Carlo es muy atento recomendamos La Luciernaga.🤗

Wonderful 4 day stay at Sally and Mike's. If the house and surroundings are beyond gorgeous, the attentiveness and warmth of the hosts are top notch. Felt at home right away. Hosts are very proactive and will share their recommendations for a perfect stay, from day excursions to taxis, beaches, or restaurants with daily specials. Very comfortable room, extremely clean, quiet and private. Great attention to detail. Delicious breakfasts and wonderful atmosphere with the other guests. Very clean water in the bay allowed for morning or afternoon swims, kayaking or simply floating away on water beds right from the deck. Transportation to Bocas town or other beaches on the island is quick and cheap (3 min walk to main road, $1-$2 per person to town by public bus or taxi). Water taxis are also an option and will bring you back straight to the house dock after dinner at local restaurants. What else can you need for a perfect relaxing vacation? Highly recommended. We will be back. Thank you!

Прекрасное жильё, всё чисто и уютно. Очень гостеприимный хозяин, оставил положительные впечатления от общения с ним.. Очень просторная и зелёная, красивая территория. В этом месте разлита атмосфера спокойствия и расслабления, очень хотелось провести там как можно больше времени. Единственно чего не хватало, - это возможности взять в аренду велосипед, или квадроцикл. С удовольствием вернусь в это же место.

This was our favorite place on our 6 week tour through Central America. Quiet, peaceful, clean and in the middle of a beautiful oasis garden. Great communication, helpful advices for tours and contacts, flexible and super nice. Boca was our favorite place in Panama, especially because of this very well thought through place. Thank you!!

Carolina and her place were wonderful! She's very helpful and responsive and the room is quite comfortable. The food, at the restaurant below the guest rooms, serves amazing food! It can be a bit noisy if you wake up later than 8am or go to bed earlier than 10pm, though. The view is amazing and because it's right off the main road, it's convenient to get a taxi into town. You will need to walk/ride/drive a bit to get to an accessible beach, but it's safe and not too far from the property. Highly recommended for shorter stays.

Great hostel. Welcoming place and everything was as advertised. Met wonderful people staying there. They had lots of great activities and tours you could book directly from them, some of these cheaper than other alternatives on the island.

It was fantastic to be at this wonderful bed & breakfast. Great place with wonderful people. I will definitely book again when I go to Bocas. Thanks for your great hospitality.

Wir waren begeistert von dem SunsetterBnB! Eine tolle individuelle Unterkunft mit wirklich engagierten Gastgebern. Mike und Sally waren stets hilfreich und haben uns immer gut beraten. Das Zimmer entsprach voll unseren Erwartungen und war sehr sauber. Wir kommen gerne wieder :)
